Jacob stopped in the apartment.
Katanas Those were beautiful weapons and she thought they were badass. But would both of them be together at the same time? Jacob shrugged, the chances of her finding a weapon were going to be low. She had some bad luck when it came to finding things.

Grabbing the turtle pendant on her necklace, Jacob almost forgot what she was in the apartment for. She softly let go of the green pendant and looked at the window on her right. She still hadn't found a decent enough weapon to use, but she really wanted to get on the roof. Jacob wasn't sure why, but there was something on that roof that drew her to it. Just as she took a step forward, something glared into her eyes. She turned her head to the left instead of the right, trying to figure out what was shining in her eyes.
To her amazement, something on a bookcase was gleaming at her. She stepped closer to the bookcase and noticed that some sort of metal was gleaming at her.
She squinted her eyes as she noticed the metal was behind the books that lined the shelf. She pulled a couple of books back and that's when she saw the blade.

Holy shit she thought I just found one of the weapons that was dropped

"I'd be more than happy to trade..."

Richard replied to the hosts comment, smirking as he did. Fortunately it seemed the crazy masses were too preoccupied with eachother to go for him. Everyone except the girl in the building but it seemed the frozen door was keeping her at bay. Of course the weapons could be an issue...but that wasn't his biggest concern.

Looking around Cerberus realized there wasn't a good way off the roof with the door frozen shut. Eventually someone would come for him...and if they had one of these weapons he wasn't sure if his ice would help. He needed a way down, and he needed it now.

Sin stopped and looked back up at her as he tilted his head. “Yes, we need instruments! Blades! They sing and the blood comes out to dance!” he said cheerfully as he held her up. Then he moved her and placed her on his shoulder, holding her legs with one arm so she doesn’t fall. He was seemingly happy, but he still was obviously dangerous. “Livi, which way should we go first? Death sings such beautiful songs to me, but I can’t tell which way her songs are coming from.” He said with almost a slight sound of worry in his voice. He wanted to protect his new friend, but if others had the weapons then that would get difficult. He looked up at her with curious eyes, wondering where they are gonna go. “Death is patient, she sometimes waits a lifetime. But blood wishes for freedom from day one. I love death, but sometimes freedom is what we need. Sometimes we need to bleed.” his words were random, out of know where. But they sounded like they had deep meaning to Sin.
“Oh death, you have chosen your hand. Now who will deal and who will die?”-Sin

The scouting had begun. Seran was walking at a semi brisk pace through the ruins, his eyes darting about the place. He stuck to the shadows, using his newly required ability to mostly disappear from sight as he ventured. He was scouting the area from the ground, memorising the layout so he could use it to his advantage. Just because he didn’t want to deal with this doesn’t mean he should t prepare himself and familiarise with the area. As Seran ran he ignored everything the hosts were talking about, until he heard the mention of weapons. Seran stopped mid run, his ears twitching as he listened to the hosts. Weapons being deployed? They are giving us arms? Just what I needed. Better get hunting before they are all gone. I need something light. He paused, annoyed that the hosts were talking about other things non weapon related. He gave a small, devious grin as one of the hosts mentioned the weapons were deployed. With that Seran set off at a light jog, his eyes darting as he searched the area. If he found a weapon he would take it. He wouldn’t hesitate got spill blood if someone got in his way.

Although she was still cautious around Sin due to his insane actions, Olivia still accepted being placed on his shoulder. Gingerly she placed one hand on Sin’s shoulder and the clinged onto his arm with the other to give herself more stability.

Most of the mans speech seemed to be pointless rambling which Liv could decipher little to no meaning from, however she was almost happy that Sin was sharing these things with her.

It was fairly difficult to choose where to search for the weapons. She certainly didn’t want to send Sin to an immensely populated area lest Sin kill too many people and cause the entire cast to be punished. This would cause them to become an even larger target to the other contestants than they already were.

“Let’s go over there.” Olivia instructed, pointing to a building which seemed to have nobody else inside.

"Weapons, eh?" V muttered to herself.

She slipped away from the group to find something, pretty sure she had been forgotten about. As she looked for any of the weapons, V decided to test out her powers. She snapped her fingers and a small fire sprung up.

"This is so perfect for me..."

V kept making small fires as she walked, even though it created a trial which anyone could follow to find her. After a while, she found something. A knife. Just like the one she killed her father with. She smiled and picked it up.

Jacob held the katana in her hand carefully. The Japanese sword was in a sheath and had a strap for Jacob to string across the back of her shoulders. After feeling that the katana was safely in place, she turned back towards the window.

"If there's someone up there." Jacob thought aloud,"Will they try to kill me?.... yeah probably...."

Jacob reminded herself to try and talk her way out of it if there was someone threatening up there. Jacob crossed the room to the window and lifted the pane up carefully. Jacob stuck her legs through the window quietly and her feet landed on the fire escape landing. Jacob looked up at the roof and sighed.

Lets do this

The chariot of blood and boom is off! It will only return when death sings a song to guide us back.” Sin said excitedly as he took off in the direction Livi had pointed. He walked at a good pace, not in a hurry, but not taking his time either. Sin looked up a Livi with a smile that almost seemed sad, then Cain spoke up. “Only one gets out of here alive. Death will decide that. She may occasionally play along nicely, but you try to tell her what to do and she’ll pop your top and drain you drop for drop.” as he spoke, he seemed to be both talking to Livi and to himself. Despite his insane rambling, he was very alert right now. Watching everything. Trusting nothing. Any little noise and his eyes would jolt in that direction to make sure it wasn’t a treat. He didn’t seem worried though, he seemed eager. As if he wanted something to happen. And he did want something to happen. He was getting fidgety and he couldn’t take it out on Livi, he liked her. But it still hurt not to hurt. “This game isn’t brutal enough for its name. But don’t worry sweetheart, I’ll make it true to it’s name. And they will cry, like she did. And bleed, like she did. Like who did?” After asking the last question Sin seemed to get very still for a second before returning to normal. Eventually, the two got to what seemed like an empty building. Sin didn’t enter until Livi said something though.

"Looks like a few lucky contestants have found weapons already!" Edith smiled, pulling up a display that showed a few people holding weapons "I'm so glad they're taking this easter egg hunt seriously and not suspecting that the weapons are secretly bombs or something like that."

"That would be absurd." Cam nodded "But now that you've put that idea in their heads...

"Right, that could interrupt things. Don't listen to me, contestants! Keep looking for these totally safe weapons!."

"Edith... they're n-"

There was a knock on the studio door that stopped Cam in her tracks. A tired young scientist walked into the room, narrowly avoiding coming into shot, and signalled to the cameraman that she needed to speak with the hosts. It seemed urgent. The cameraman complied, switching off the broadcast and replacing the picture on the screens down in the city with a simple "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES" screen, accompanied by the occasional automated video of the contestants. Edith and Cam were off the air.

--

"I'm sorry to interrupt, guys, but management sent me down here to... uh..." The woman scratched the back of her neck anxiously "To, like, warn you about something. Ask you questions as well. Can you spare a minute?".

"Yes, but only a minute." Edith sighed "We're missing the fun part...".

"If it's an emergency, then I don't see why not... Cam mumbled "There's no point in waiting until after the show, is there?".

"Right. Well, I'm uh... Doctor Hawthorne. I work down in biotech and all. So... do you two know about Ze- uh, was it Actor 17?"

"You mean 27? I don't think I've heard 17 be referred to as Zero..."

"Yeah, 27 sounds right. Well, uh... we've run into a slight problem. You know how 27 is like... really scary... and really hard to contain... well it turns out it's not actually asleep anymore. It's awake."

"Wh-what? That's... wait, so it could be..."

"Hey, don't jump to conclusions, Cam. Do you know what Zero is exactly?"

"No. Can you give me a refresher? 'cause I've been awfully suspicious of someone lately..."

"Okay, uh... well, Zero is this sort of virus thing and it, like, assimilates the flesh of whatever it eats. We've been using it to increase the efficiency of SA-424, SB-635, SC-812, and SD-004 by like... putting them in one place, so to speak. The problem is... it's far too much for us to handle. The fucker's got the DNA of four successful carriers in it, and it's bigger than a fucking car at this point. There's no way any of our forces can contain it behind closed doors; we're so fucked..."

"Calm down, okay?" Edith leaned closer towards Hawthorne, speaking very quietly to her "Why don't we send it down early? We could let the contestants take care of it. There are still a lot of them left, so I'm sure they won't have much of a problem with it."

"I mean, I guess... but do you know where it is? Can you find it?"

"I was attacked in the break room by Ben a few minutes ago. He left me alive, but he wasn't acting like himself. He was far stronger than before, able to overpower me almost instantly. There's probably CCTV of the incident if you don't trust me."

"No, I trust you. Our trackers showed it moving towards the break room before it went offline, anyway. We're pretty desperate..."

Hawthorne stood up and turned towards Ben, gesturing for the security guards at the door to escort him away. He protested, of course, but his protest didn't last long after a gun was put to his head. Once he had left the room, Hawthorne turned back to the two hosts.

"We'll let you know when we've got him down there. Let the contestants carry on doing whatever shit you got them doing for now, but don't go back on air until we've sorted this out. Oh, and make sure they listen when you tell them about 27, okay? I want this creature dead, and I want it dead quickly. Y'know, so Vanessa from management doesn't get up my ass about it..."

"I get ya. She gives me the creeps as well. Hopefully this will all be sorted out soon. No more break room incidents, and all..."

"Yeah... I don't want anyone getting hurt like you were, Edith."

Edith sighed, turning to Cam with a dark look in her eyes. Cam looked back, equally nervous but for a different reason- how the hell did Edith know Ben was who they were looking for?

"Why Ben?"

"I told you to watch out for him earlier, didn't I? I sent him over to the break room to get some tea in the hopes that they would find him... I'm glad I got to reveal this, I was absolutely terrified for your safety back then, Cam."

"Well you didn't show it..."

Once Sin had taken off in the direction in which Olivia had pointed, she held onto him and seemed to be relatively happy. It seemed that the thought that only one person out of everyone in the arena would actually make it out alive until Sin mentioned it. Hardly taking notice of his short-lived change in demeanour while mentioning this, Olivia took a few seconds to actually think about how dangerous the present situation was, something she had always hated doing.
"Oh I 'adn't thought about it, to be honest." Livi admitted. She let out a dry laugh as to pretend to herself that she didn't care about facing death
Of course she would have to do whatever she could to grant herself victory. That's what anyone else would do, right? As much as her companion charming (and a real lady-killer) Olivia had only just met him for Christ's sake.
Olivia neglected to bring up the idea of doing whatever possible to get them both out together as Sin seemed pretty set on how only death made these decisions.

Upon hearing Sin becoming increasingly conflicted and fidgety, Olivia attempted to calm him although she had little idea on how to do so. Cautiously she ran her fingers through his hair and neglected to say anything while he ranted. To Olivia it seemed that Sin was having an internal battle with himself, often questioning what he says upon speaking.

Finally reaching the door, Olivia climbed down from Sin's shoulder and took note of the screens now showing "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES". Could something be wrong? Everything was most likely fine however Liv gazed at the screens for a few solid seconds, almost trying to read some kind of secret answer hidden inside the simple message.

Turning around once again, Liv shot the man behind her a smile before entering the building. Finding a weapon was of the upmost urgency to her so she began searching the building, looking around every object she could for anything useful. Hurrying up to the second floor and beginning to become tired of looking, Olivia's eyes were drawn toward's an axe balanced precariously on one of the exposed girders on the building.
"Sin!" Olivia announced, shouting at him to come retrieve the weapon. "Come here!"
