Re: Another Video Games Thread
To the woman playing GBA games, try out Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, along with Megaman.EXE (Also known as Megaman Battle Network in the west) and Drill Dozer. You'll have fun with those. The first is an RPG, the second are... RPG series as well, of sorts, the last is a platformer. A very unique one.
Try Megaman Zero if you like platformers, also. c:

Re: Another Video Games Thread
I'll definitely check them out! I'm getting a cart that lets me play roms from a microSD card, so I'll be able to add it to that.
Also, doing a second test. Because I'm a cynic and like trying out different alternatives, I also happened to purchase an Old Skool brand DSi aftermarket battery, again 1800 mAh. Hopefully this fairs better than the Hyperkin (I had high hopes, Hyperkin seems to be pretty trustworthy based on reviews), but I'm not holding my breath; the label sticker was on backwards. Thought the battery wasn't working first, then realized the + and - symbols on the label were the wrong way. =_=
Charging up my Game Boy now.

Nary a candle, nary a wish
But in the wont of wandering paths
Through wooded knolls, and windworn crags
She seeks a face she thought as friend
But now -- she thinks as judgement's end

Re: Another Video Games Thread
Lol, that sucks.
Welp, if you want any GBA games, I got a few up my sleeve. Summon Night has two entries, Megaman Battle Network has... A lot. From the 3rd one they started adding versions. 3 Blue/White, 4 Red Sun/Blue Moon, 5 Team Protoman/Team Colonel, 6 Cybeast Falzar/Cybeast Gregar...
I got carried away.
If you like turn-based RPGs, Riviera: The Promised Land is a very... Unique in gameplay style one. The story is also gold. <3 Super Mario Advance 4 is the NES/SNES' Super Mario Bros. 3, if you liked that. Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance&Aria of Sorrow. If you haven't considered it, go with Golden Sun 1&2, they're amazing, and you can transfer your save from the 1st to the 2nd at any time in the game.
Sword of Mana gets a special mention, since I believe they were remaking it on the 3DS or something.
There are 4 games of Megaman Zero, and they follow a linear plotline.
I mean, I'm sure there are a lot more out there... But this is a small list of my most recently completed games which I also loved.

Rats, capped out around 12:30. What did we learn today, kids? Old aftermarket batteries stored in suboptimal conditions are shite!

In the meantime, a second test with the stock NDS battery (this time running it until the SP died) capped out at tenish hours.

IMO the best engine ever created was the NOCEngine.

Re: Another Video Games Thread
If we are talking about video games then my favourite video game world would have to be thedas from the dragon age series....that world is amazing and the games are good as well ( even if for some strange reason loads of people hate dragon age: inquisition, I think it is because everyone is nostalgic for the first game and want it to be exactly like the original.)
