Airic chuckled softly and finally stopped spinning them around the room, though he continued to hold her close. His hand resting lightly against her lower back, the other took her hand gently. "Mmm or maybe the art supplies have become a part of me and they'll never leave," he pointed out with a wide grin. He pressed a brief kiss against the back of her hand. "Ah well you make a fair argument there," he admitted, grinning sheepishly. Though he never intended to become such a mess, he got trapped in his world of art sometimes and some days he wonders if he was becoming a piece of art rather than creating one on a canvas.

Crypt smirked faintly at this but he said nothing in return, following her towards the back of the building. He kept his gaze to the area behind them, making sure they wouldn't be seen, ensuring no one would come up behind them. Kya had chosen the perfect hotel really, it was in a more secluded part of the city, less populated, a blessing to them. Once they reached corner of the building he let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding, they were slightly safer now. He peered up at the building to make sure no one else was deciding to step out onto their balcony for some fresh morning air.

(No she will not...but he has hopes he can sneak back without her knowing. XD Lol I meant of course I'll post for Luka. XD )

Luka left the secluded apartment tucked away on the outskirts of the city, murmuring a farewell to his partner before slipping out of the building. Leo had to get back home soon anyways if he wished to survive his mother's wrath, a thought Luka found humorous. He stood on the steps of the building, letting out a foggy breath in the crisp morning air. He lifted his face to the sky and closed his eyes, soaking in the sun's warmth. He turned his attention on the task at hand...whatever that task was he wasn't entirely sure. He started towards the sidewalk, tapping the sidewalk every so often with his foot to guide him along. In his travels he had become incredibly good at seeing the world without actually seeing. Learning to listen carefully to every sound to see the shapes of objects around him. He drew his hood up and tucked his hands into his pockets, beginning his journey into the city. He let his feet lead him, or perhaps it was his heart.

"Then i guess you get to sleep outside from now on. Can't have you dirtying up the house." Lucy smirked. The house still had a lot of work that needed to be done on it so she wasn't too concerned about him getting some paint and charcoal on things here and there, but her couch and the bed were definitely off limits. Even though of course the sheets on the bed at least could be changed, she had washed enough of his clothes to know that certain paints bled through fabrics and stained anything it touched. Oil paints were especially nasty. Lucy wasn't artistic but she picked up on some knowledge over the years since he first picked up art. She looked at him after a moment and shook her head; he was being quite the procrastinator for someone who wanted his wife to clean up and relax but she didn't mind too much, knowing that he was simply excited and happy to have her home.

Pyra listened intently for a moment before she followed the building, keeping an eye on the doors she could see just in case someone decided to suddenly leave their room. She couldn't hear anything and she figured most were probably staying in the rooms out front but she was cautious all the same. Life had proven to them time and time again that one could never be too careful. However there were no incidents and though it took them a few minutes to actually make it to the other side, as she was taking her time, the door to their room soon came into view. Yet the sound of voices had her stop in her tracks, lowering herself into a low crouch as she searched for the source. They sounded distant, but she had to be sure...

[Well I guess this time he can be safe, but Kya is a protective mother dang it. XD So mean. XD]

Ellie stopped in the middle of the empty street, minus for a couple of people making their way deeper into the city, feeling hopeless. She wasn't a tracker and though she could try to sense for his aura she hadn't gotten a good enough read on it before to know what it felt like. It wouldn't be anything like when he was a child either since auras did change based on the things one experienced in life so that wouldn't work, and this all made her feel...frustrated. Wandering around all day didn't seem ideal and now that she thought about it he probably wouldn't believe her even if she did find him. Being only four years old when she gave him up he wouldn't know her, or so she assumed. Over the many years she's been alive she had forgotten her birth parents although that had been by choice, they had been awful people. I'm an awful person... A sigh left her lips as she wandered over to the sidewalk and sat down on the edge, staring up into the sky. There were no clouds and the sun was shining brightly, but she couldn't seem to bring herself to enjoy it.

"Oof, such a harsh fate," Airic replied with an amused grin. He nuzzled her lightly one more time before pulling away a little bit, smiling faintly. "Okay, okay...enough wasting time. You need to wash up and get some proper food and rest..." he brushed his thumb across her cheek before stepping back. He held up his hands a little "Swear I won't keep you any longer," he pretended to make a cross over his heart. As much as he loved that little moment with her, he did bring her home to make sure she took care of herself. He chuckled and tucked his hands into his pockets, shrugging a little bit. He couldn't help it though, it was nice to hold her close again. When was the last time she was home anyways? he wondered but the thought was brief.

Crypt stayed close behind Pyra, peering behind them every now and then to ensure no one would see them. He crouched down the moment she did, not even questioning why because he trusted her. They made a great team, knew each other like the back of their hands. He supposed that's what having all of eternity together could do for them. After a moment that's when he caught onto the voices, though they sounded faint. He peered around warily, his lips pressed into a firm line. They did not make it all this way just to be caught now. Fortunately the voices sounded distant, they should be safe. Yet he waited until Pyra had confirmed they could make it to the room without being seen.

(Kya is a wonderful, protective mother. He appreciates her greatly. XD )

Luka wandered on through the city for some time, only able to judge the amount of time that's passed by the slow progression of the sun across the sky. He paid close attention to every little sound around him, using them to guide his way safely through the city. Being born blind he suppose made it easy for him to pick up on ways to find his way around without eyesight. Yet it was times like this he found himself frustrated that he couldn't see the people he cared about. Though he suppose he saw them in a different way. Leo was a comforting presence, a warm scent, features that were soft beneath his fingertips. His adoptive parents were boisterous voices, patient words, and the scent of traveling campfires. He smiled a little, working hard to always see the best in every situation. He turned down onto a sidewalk and his pace slowed slightly, he didn't know why but something told him this is where he needed to be. He continued down the sidewalk but did so slowly, wondering what exactly it was he was seeking.

"Oh no no no, you need to wash up too, I wasn't joking about that bit." Lucy replied, looking at him from head to toe to see the extent of the damage. It would take him a little longer to shower than it would her, she wouldn't be getting that warm bath to say the least but that was alright. Her comfort truly mattered very little to her and she supposed her childhood had something to do with that. If one can even call it that...she thought to herself, seeming to get lost in her thoughts for a moment before she shook her head and looked at Airic. "I'll eat..." Contrary to popular belief she did know how to feed herself, it was just that she didn't do it as often as she should. Even as a human she had been pretty terrible at it so she did understand his concern over her, it was more than justified.

Pyra moved forward until she could see the street, keeping as low to the ground as possible without sitting or lying on it. The voices grew slightly louder until a few moments later she spotted two women walk past on the sidewalk, clearly oblivious to everything going on around them. Not that she was complaining, it made things a little easier for them. She waited another minute until their voices faded away before she moved again, hopping over the railing and approaching their hotel room door with a cautious gaze. There were no sounds from within though she assumed it was far too early for the cleaning staff to be making their rounds, they'd have to make sure to put out the 'do not disturb' sign... "Safe for another day..."she said softly, a smile forming on her lips as she took out the key and unlocked the door, pushing into the darkened room with a wave a relief washing over her. It was stressful to live like this, but she wouldn't turn her back on it.

[Uh huh...he's bad. XD]

Ellie had, at some point, removed herself from the sidewalk and to one of the wooden benches that lined the cemented walkways. She hadn't made much progress at all, she didn't have many places to look without going into the main part of the city and she couldn't do that without running the risk of running into someone she knew. Of course she was good at evading people, when she wanted to, but she didn't want to add to the pain she knew they must be feeling now if they saw her and she ran. They wouldn't understand why she had to leave, although she wasn't even sure if she understood it. Fear was only part of it, but...she shook the thoughts away, there was no use in thinking about it right now. Not until she could figure everything else out. After some time she got to her feet, an odd feeling coming over her but she didn't know what was causing it. Maybe it was nothing but...experience has proven that her odd feelings always meant something. Her intuition was stronger compared to others, a gift and a curse depending on the situation. If only it would actually tell me what I needed to know...

Airic held up his hands "Alright, alright..." he replied with a grin. Besides, she really would make him sleep outside if he didn't wash up. Art supplies didn't exactly come out of the sheets real well all the time. He reached over to touch her cheek "Hmm good, go ahead and eat and I'll take a quick shower..." he said fully agreeing with this course of action. He dropped his hand and swiftly turned away, doing so rather dramatically, as he strode towards the bedroom. "No worries fair lady, I shall be squeaky clean before your meal is over!" he exclaimed with an equal amount of dramatization. He paused in the doorway and peered back at her, his eyes narrowed "And you better eat..." he pointed out, his tone slightly more serious as he said this. After all, she needed to keep her strength up.

Crypt's violet gaze studied the two women carefully, making sure their attention didn't shift towards them. However they both seemed fully absorbed in their conversation, it seemed like he and Pyra were safe. He turned his attention back to Pyra and followed her over the railing and moved towards their door. Pyra opened the door and he peered inside warily, as if someone might have snuck in and waited for them there. They'd have to make sure the cleaning staff didn't come across their room. He let out a soft breath and pressed a hand lightly against Pyra's lower back to guide her into the room. He peered behind them carefully one last time, but it seemed like they were safe. Perhaps next time they would have to leave a little earlier to ensure their journey back here wasn't quite as difficult.

(Yeah. Fair enough. XD )

Luka hadn't the slightest idea what it was they drew him here, but the further he walked down the sidewalk the more sure he was that whatever it was, was what brought him to this city to begin with. This particular street didn't have a lot of people. He could sense some across the street. The closest one was by a bench up ahead but he didn't think much of it. What is it then? he thought eventually slowing to a stop and 'looking' around. He tapped his foot absentmindedly to keep a good view of his surroundings. Surely he hadn't wandered all the way to this city just for this instinct to be nothing. Then again, he had a strong intuition and it was almost never wrong. Why would now be any different? What are you hoping to find? he thought with a small frown.

Lucy felt grateful he hadn't seemed to catch on to her slight shift in mood, looking at him with a light smile as he agreed to shower. He would feel much better after she knew and it would make her feel good in turn. More willing to relax and enjoy her time at home. "No need to rush." If he rushed the more likely he was to leave streaks of charcoal on himself. The number of white towels they've lost over the years... though she would keep them for cleaning so they never went to waste. "I will." She reassured him and turned away to make her way into the kitchen. It had the necessities, a table on the corner for sitting, plenty of counter space, a sink and of course the fridge where they stocked their little source of blood packs. Vampires couldn't go out and hunt as they used to...there were plenty of animals, but the Hunters made it dangerous for them. Everything was dangerous these days. She shook her head and opened the door, pulling out one of the many silver packs inside before she shut it and went to sit at the table.

"We have to put the sign out." Pyra muttered as she felt the light pressure on her back, knowing he just wanted them in the room and safe. She turned to gently touch his cheek, as if to reassure him that she was still here, that they were fine, before moving back towards the door to put the sign on the outside door handle. Realistically no one should enter their room, but she would probably put the chair from the desk in front of it just in case. Just as another form of security to make her feel better as they slept for the day. There wasn't much else for them to do, but she was feeling pretty tired. A lot had happened these past few days, mainly good things, and she was feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. Keeping him safe was a ton of work too, it always had been, but that was more a teasing thought than a serious one. "I'm going to need to start considering demanding payment for being your bodyguard. So much work it's terrible."

[Aha, I guess kids can't always be good though. XD]

Ellie decided to just let her concerns go and let her intuition guide her. That was usually the best option when she didn't know what else to do. Her feet led her up the street, shoving her hands into the pockets of her sweater. Glancing around she could see a few people out and about, one tapping their foot a little ways ahead of where she was going. Something about them tugged at her and some small part of her knew that this was the cause of her feelings. She didn't stop until she passed them, so lost to her mind that she didn't realize she had at first. The side of his face was visible from where she stood, he looked so much like his father that she could see why she mistook him for Kai when she first saw him in the dark. He looked healthy and so grown up; it saddened her knowing all the years she missed...that Kai missed. She tried to shake the thought away as she reached out to touch his arm but something stopped her, she wasn't really sure what to say. Starting off with 'hey I'm your mother!' didn't sound like the best idea...how did one even start talking to someone they hadn't seen in so many years?

Airic smiled a little and nodded, he wouldn't rush...too much anyways. He smirked a little at this and turned away, heading towards their bathroom. He needed to get the charcoal out of his hair at the very least, he'd hate to make a mess of his pillowcase. He always got after her for not taking care of herself but sometimes he wondered if that made him a hypocrite. Certainly he made sure to shower, eat, and sleep, but the days often blurred together so eating and sleeping had become a bit of a guessing game as to when the last time he did either was. He shrugged this off and disappeared into the bathroom.

Crypt gazed at her gently and leaned into her hand a little, reassured by the warm touch. He nodded a little and moved further into the room, looking it over carefully...just in case. Once he was certain they were secure and safe and let out a soft sigh of relief. They had gotten good at evading detection, but it helped when they lived in the camp on the outskirts of the city. Now that they were staying in here, it was a great deal riskier. Worth it though if it meant they could see their daughter more often. "Payment huh?" Crypt replied, looking over at her with a small smirk. "Well if it's any consolation...you do a wonderful job."

(Exactly, they all go through rebellious phases. XD )

Luka stood there at a loss, wondering how long he should wait before giving up. He didn't even know why he was there but surely this was the reason he had come to the city to begin with. Drawn here by some unseen force, quite literally for him. He paused when the presence of another being drew close to him, he caught a glimpse of their silhouette. He stiffened a little, a wariness came over him. After all, even though he didn't consider himself weak, he was vulnerable due to his lack of eyesight. He continued to tap his foot lightly but slower this time, he turned a little towards the individual. "Hello?" he greeted uncertainly, looking in their general direction. Something felt...familiar.

Lucy slit the bag open with her nails and poured the contents into one of the clean mugs from a small shelf next to the table, swirling it around with a soft sigh. It had been a long week and she was far more exhausted than she would admit to. Her work was never done, there was always some problem needing to be fixed and once that was taken care of a hundred more seemed to pop up. The fact Ellie was missing still unnerved her, vampires didn't just vanish these days and it made her worry that maybe one of the Hunters had taken her. After all one of them attacked Tobias and although the Human Leader assured her that she nor her commanding Officer ordered it she was concerned. She shook the thought away and took a drink from the cup after a moment, Airic wouldn't be happy if she continued to think about work while she was home but he was in the shower and that was a part of her life now. The city needed her. But I can't do my work properly if I'm always stressed...she frowned, taking another, longer, drink.

Once Pyra had the chair securely in place against the door she turned and looked at Crypt, shaking her head slightly. "Consolation doesn't pay the bills." She smirked, knowing better than that. They didn't pay bills. Even in the Fallen City they hadn't as far as she knew, then again she had been too busy making sure the Rebels didn't overwork themselves to notice that sort of thing. They would've all worked themselves into the ground if she hadn't made sure he gave them a break every once in awhile, himself included. He had been accepting of her concerns although there were a few times he hadn't been too happy about her meddling with his work. Not that she cared too much at the time since it had only been in times she felt he was going too far. "Tsk, I do all the work these days."

[True, and no parent is ever happy with it! XD]

Ellie lowered her hand as he turned towards her, biting her lip nervously. Nothing that came to mind sounded good to say, sure she could say hello and chat awhile but at what time could she possibly bring up who she was? Kai hadn't exactly given her any advice on the matter and she wasn't the most social person these days. Her confidence dwindled greatly after Kai died, although it was safe to say she hadn't been all that confident before she met him either. She took a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds before she slowly released it and looked at him again. He looked so uncertain in this moment, the expression so unlike his father who ran into a situation without thinking first more times than she could count. Yet he had to be just as brave as him for traveling this far, she certainly wasn't brave. "...sorry..."she mumbled after a moment although she wasn't entirely sure why she was apologizing in the first place.

Airic, with some surprise, did take some time with the shower. He needed some time to clear his head he supposed, after all he worried about Lucy often. Who wouldn't? She was the leader of the vampires and they all knew what happened to all the past leaders. She was the best of them all though, she was fair and honest. Everything she did, she did with the people in mind. Despite rarely leaving the house, he kept up with the local news enough to know the Hunters were causing trouble. That was one of his greatest concerns, that she would be caught in the crossfire. He sighed and stepped out of the shower, drying off and throwing on clean clothes. He dried off his hair and combed it down, looking in the mirror for a moment. He felt much better now. He turned and headed towards the kitchen to grab himself a small meal.

Crypt stepped forward and looped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. "Mmm that's true I suppose," he replied with a grin. They didn't have bills here, benefits of being 'dead' he supposed. They had some in the Fallen City but being he was in control of the city they were only the necessary ones to give some sense of fairness. All the Rebels had small bills, just enough that in collection they could continue their mission. He shrugged this off, he didn't care to think about the Fallen City much these days. "Hmm I suppose you do a lot of work these days, anyway I can relieve some of that workload?" he asked with a small smirk. Oh how their roles seemed to have reversed. Before, she had been the one finding ways to take some of the workload off his shoulders.

(Also true. XD Even if he snuck back his little sister would totally tell on him. XD)

Luka took a small step back just to give himself some space between himself and this stranger, he was wary of most people. He didn't get the sense that she was a bad person though, there was a sort of...sad air around her though. "What for?" he asked and offered a polite smile. He paused, her voice sounded familiar though he couldn't place it. He's definitely heard it before. "Do I know you?" He asked lightly, his head falling into a small tilt. He wasn't one to beat around the bush, preferring to get straight to the point. He didn't like having a sense of unknown. He tucked one hand into his pocket and the other he tapped against the side of his leg periodically, a nervous tick he supposed.

Lucy had finished her meal, sitting there in silence as she stared blankly at the wall across from her. Work had left her mind though the past came to replace it. She had come a long way though her story should've ended a long time ago while she was still human. It was her fault it didn't end up that way so she couldn't complain as much as she wanted to some days. Besides she got to stay with Airic, in the end she realized just how much it would have hurt to leave him although she had convinced herself that he would've been fine because he would have had Nicholas at his side. After all, maybe if she hadn't been turned Nick wouldn't have vanished as he did when the city fell...and maybe Airic would be happier now having his brother instead of her at his side. She never voiced these feelings to her husband knowing he would be displeased, but she wondered about it from time to time. Her aqua gaze moved towards the hallway as the sound of footsteps pulled her away from her thoughts, smoothing out the skirt of her plum colored dress as she got to her feet to put her mug in the sink before she left the kitchen. He would usher her to take a shower so she might as well meet him halfway.

Pyra looked at him as she found his arms around her waist, an eyebrow raising in response. "You could stop going outside indefinitely, that would be a huge help." She smirked, clearly joking. He couldn't stay confined for the rest of his existence, that was no life to live and he would surely lose his mind after awhile. In truth the only way to relieve her workload was if society accepted him, but even then she would still be on her toes just for the tiny possibility that someone would try something. Anger and hate were two emotions that were difficult to let go of for some. "Sometimes I wonder why I ever chose to stick around." She teased, her pink eyes sparkling in the little light there was. They hadn't turned on a light and the curtains were drawn tightly over the window, but she could still see him clearly. He was happy despite all the things they have been through and in turn that made her happy.

[Stern scolding TBD! XD Good Fleur, Kya will be proud. XD]

Ellie bit her lip, maybe she didn't have to tell him right away. Maybe she could get to know him and then ease her way into it once he trusted her, but who knew how long that would take. Everyone could move on if her absence stretched out for too long, then again...maybe that would be for the best. There were plenty of other girls Liam could fall for, Thalia could make a new best friend, and Claire and Elijah had their family to keep them happy. They didn't need her. She shook her head, a smile crossing her lips as she focused on Luka. "That's the second time I've startled you..."she replied, it was the only thing she could think of to apologize for. There were a million other things of course, abandoning him all those years ago being one of them, but she couldn't. Not yet. "Ah, not really..." After all he didn't really know her. The last time he had been in her presence she had been knocked off her feet by someone rushing by and before that he had been four years old. Too young to remember her she would assume. It hurt to think so, but she had no one to blame but herself. "You helped me a few nights ago."
