Don't Look Here!

A place for those who dabble in paint. Or, you know, pixels. Because they matter too.

Back to some "serious" artwork...

Love Like This - Kodaline

After finally finding the motivation to do more serious stuff, here's a little portrait I did! :D I love doing these. I tried to go for this cross-hatching-type thing for the skin as a way to create a base shade, but I think I'll try a different approach next time. Never hurts to try something new! Also, the only reason I called it "Love Like This" is because that's what song I was listening to when I was basically done. Whenever I sketch something, I usually title it by the last song I was listening to, or at least one that stuck to me while I was doing it. It happens a lot. :P

Nice one, Gecks. :3

From my experience, though, cross hatching tends to work better for scales and other "rough" surfaces (jeans and other fabrics, sandpaper, etc.). But it's best to experiment and find what works better for you. 👍

Thanks! :D And I just prefer crosshatching to anything else, I just go overboard sometimes. I generally just use it for shading. :>

I enjoy cross hatching, too! I mostly do it when I'm drawing on paper, tho'. Haha.

EEEE! SO GOOD!
