hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Welcome to Millennium Academy, the city’s top school for young meta-humans hoping to one day become heroes. The class doesn’t only provide hero courses, but it also provides general studies, technology programs, and business courses. Like many boarding schools. Millennium Academy applies Harkness Education to most classes, a system that encourages students to think for themselves with minimal teacher intervention. Regular lectures are sometimes held, but mostly discouraged as the Harkness system allows students to solve problem without assistance like they would usually be required to in the hero field.

The official school colors are purple and chatelle, but black, grey, white are acceptable inside school grounds. Students are not required to wear ties since 2011. Jeans are allowed, but only if they are navy or black. The most maximum of roommates a student can have is two. Dorms are NOT co-ed and if a male student is found in a female dorm then they will suffer the repercussions.
Millennium Academy is highly selective with non-residential students, with only about 19% acceptance rates.Hence why a lot of parents choose to move within city limits so their super-powered children can attend the school. Funding comes from the government, advertisement from events such as the Academy Crossover and Ring Out, and from donations by several corporations like Novak Systems, Kunta Prosthetics, Winchester Industries and other wealthy alumni. In return they receive tax cut off from the government as a return for funding such an expensive facility.

The preparatory school was funded in the 1960s. After the first Loxosceles entered the public eye, it became a concern that teenagers were gaining superpowers and acting recklessly. In response to the turmoil. the local government created the first facility to teach future generations about the responsibilities that came with their powers.

  • The Hero Course is the academy’s best known program and the hardest one to get into. The infamous practical exam has been criticized for placing students in dangerous situations, despite the staff asserting that the students were not in danger. Students that are accepted into the hero course will be put through thorough training exercises to push their super-abilities to the limit. Classes in the morning are general courses and in the afternoon students embark on non-conventional training exercises. These activities can range from hostage rescues to simply hearing a lecture from a guest hero.
  • The General Course is similar to Hero Course in the morning, except core classes extend towards the afternoon. Students also have the ability to pick more electives unlike their course counterparts. Their access to the Novak Gymnasium is typically restricted. Students in the General Course have an 30% of being accepted into ivy league colleges and an 70% of being accepted by state colleges.
  • The Technology Program focuses on cultivating the student’s minds rather than their powers. Hour long brainstorming sessions are held early in the morning. After lunch students get to choose between taking a power nap or taking a yoga class. This apparent laxness of the course serves a cooldown for student partaking in the course. Students participating in the program are put through some of the most mentally taxing courses and mental challenges. Students entering the program aim to start their own start up companies or sell their inventions to larger corporations in order to fund their own crime fighting operations.

  • The Eisner Hall houses the English, Modern, and Extraterrestrial languages departments. On the first floor is the Elite Room, where faculty members meet for lunch breaks and meetings. The classrooms were designed in an oval position with the Harkness method in mind. The hall is in the same building as the Kirby Library, which has a shelf capacity of 200,00 volumes, but only holds 152,000 volumes in STEAM advanced subjects to nurture the minds of tomorrow’s brightest generation.
  • Hickman Science Center is home to the laboratories and classrooms for most of the students in the technology program. An electron microscope was donated back in 2006 by Novak Systems. The microscope is currently underground with magnetic canceling systems. The laboratories hold different types of advanced technology. The most notable being the C.L.A.W artificial intelligence, providing students with the materials required to construct their gadgets and simulations.
  • Spiegelman Theater houses the Drama Department, the Shakespeare Association, and the Dramatic Honors Society (DHS) It includes a 100 seat blackbox theater and a 200 seat main stage theater. Students from the DHS have a chance to submit their originals plays into the Drama Department which could lead them to being produced by the school. Plays such as Frankie, Floods of Watergate, and Heart of Vietnam were written, acted, and directed by students in the past.
  • Way Music Center was designed and built five years after the school was inaugurated. The center contains the Music Department, the Music Library, and two different rehearsal halls, and dozen rehearsal halls.
  • The Ditko Art Center is home to the Art Department, the Barren Painters Society, the Graphics Guild and other clubs. The Department’s Head’s superpower is being able to bring the paintings to life and to travel inside the art. Once a year, he takes select students inside the paintings with him. The center contains a ceramics studio with approximately fifteen wheels, one printmaking studio, an architectural and 3D design studio in the second floor, and painting studios. A 3D printer was added in 2014, but use is under restriction for students.

  • The Kingsley Novak Gymnasium was named after the 1950s arms manufacturer after he donated a large sum of capital to the academy. The gymnasium has evolved through the ages, originally simply holding regular weights training room, one swimming pool, and two hockey rinks. The gymnasium now has gravity manipulated weights and rooms to challenge even 100+ tonners, treadmills that can sustain the friction from speedsters, and the pool has extended over the two hockey rinks for aquatic powers.
  • The Palahniuk Cage was originally a open field where meta-humans could spar against each other under staff supervision. Now, a stadium was built with several dummy enemies for students to practice on. Sparring is still common, but greatly regulated by staff to ensure the student’s safety. The final rounds of the Millennium Crossover are typically held here, where students face against each other in one on one matches. Forcefields are implemented around the stands to prevent debris from hitting the crowd watching the fights.
  • Haney Grounds is a large facility that holds different dangerous environmental situations where heroes have to adapt to save the test dummies in peril. The first one is a boat in the middle of a flooded area with technosharks, a giant robot squid, and mermen. The second room is a closed off location with fires constantly raging inside inflammable buildings. The third area is a snow storm that make mobility almost impossible. The fourth area is the ruins zone with the test dummies trapped beneath the rubble. The fifth and final area simulates a mountain area like the Grand Canyon, with high cliffs and rocks.
  • Takami Dome is a mile away from city limits. The first two rounds of challenges in the Academy’s Tournaments have been held inside the feared dome in occasion. Though it is infamous for being known as the place where Millennium Academy Ring Out is held. The Dome itself is composed of multiple empty buildings with a high tech dome covering it. Sometimes the place used for training exercises between classes to run different scenarios.
  • Millar Gymnasium is the training facility for non-enhanced beings. The gym contains several standard weights, treadmills, pull up bars. It has three 50 meter pools and five tennis courts. Two hockey rinks. Squash facilities, a gymnastics space, a wrestling room, a calisthenics yard, and a 400 meter track outside. Two basketball courts and a soccer field.

Alex was the first to get to his room, after listening to the Headmasters speech and saying goodbye to his mom he opted to run straight for the dorms. He was in Dorm Hall B with the rest of the boys, stuck in a room with two other kids he only hoped would be friendly. He already knew Terry was pretty cool but, he'd never met..."Leonhardt...interesting name.". When he entered the hall he was met by a teacher, given his room, and a key card to get in. He slid it through the lock, swung open the wooden door, and his jaw dropped.

When he was told they'd be staying in dorms he didn't expect them to mean Dorms like this with separate rooms for each kid along with a common area, Kitchenete, and a fully decked out bathroom. He picked the left most room, dropped his stuff off, and went about laying out his room. They had walk in closets with a special compartment in the back for hero suits. His room had a bed, a long shelf above the bed, and a desk with a relatively nice chair. His first order of business was hanging up all his posters and displaying the action figures he brought with him. A battle damaged Chevron took the center of the display above his desk in his signature pose;flanking him were Weltgeist, Atom, Luna Hawk, a 2ft tall model of the creature that had attacked Aberdeen, and three Terminus figures. He also had some statues of older heroes that people seemed to forget. Odin, Virtue, and Thundermachine stood were given their own spots in the corner.

He filled his bookshelf with comic books, manga, and various dvd documentaries of different battles that had occurred between heroes and villains. Once that was done he sat down at his desk and picked up the first of two papers left there. The first was his schedule, he had the standard classes like Math and English along with Bladesmanship 101, Power development 101, and Intro to The History of Heroes. The second paper had instructions on how to put in the request for your hero costume along with a few other details about them.
To put in your request for your hero costume simply head to the schools website, log in with your specified login, navigate to new year, then design factory. If you don't know or have any ideas stop by the costume design shop in the Hickman Science Center. In your closet you will find a special case where you can place your pre-existing costume in order to have it upgraded. Each student is limited to a maximum of three costume modifications per year. This is an optional choice however, students without a costume are strongly enouraged to get one.
Flinging open his laptop he headed straight to the design factory sight, which was a rather simple layout. He was met with three boxes and an upload image option, which he guessed was for kids who had a drawing of their costume already and needed it made. The three boxes were each meant to have one specific gear design inserted. Also along the bottom was a box that stated "Costumes will be reinforced to be resistant to bullets and blade slashes." which meant he wouldn't need to waste a gear slot on stuff like that.

His first option he selected was a pair of glasses that included nightvision and an 8X zoom along with one way lenses. since he knew that no matter what idea he went with in his head he knew that he would need some way to scout out situations and also night vision was relatively important for being a hero. When it came to the other two text boxes he got a little lost....he knew his powers were more support based but, being a support hero wasn't what he saw himself doing. His eyes scanned over his wall of superhero memorabilia looking for something to grab inspiration from. They drifted over posters of Atlas, Prism, and then landed on a Villain known as Lotus. His eyes lit up from a sudden rush of inspiration...he could be a ninja. Not a corny anime ninja, no a real ninja.

When he was a kid he started getting into Ninjas getting all kinds of manuals and really looking over them but, never getting heavily into the subject. Now he had translations of ancient texts just sitting on his shelf he could use in his free time to train and it would go with his aesthetic of using a sword. He grabbed his copy of The Book of Ninja and started perusing through the pages looking for inspiration.

The first text box he filled in was a request for Shuriken that emitted a high frequency sonic sound that would disrupt a targets equilibrium. The second was another upgrade to his glasses, to add a targeting system that displayed the angle he would have to throw his Shuriken at in order to reach a target. Was it cheating...maybe but, he could use all the help he could get. Once done with that he grabbed his favorite jacket, a white T-shirt, a pair of grey slacks, and a pair of sneakers. Was it the best costume no but, it was the stuff he'd worn when he first got his powers so it made sense to him.

Slipping the clothes into the grey case in his closet he placed them in the compartment behind the mirror, pressed a green button, shut the door, and heard the sound of them getting sucked off towards the costume shop. With that done he went out into the living room to greet his roommates once they got here and play some Smash on his switch while he was at it.

Terry was very thankful that the setup for the dorms actually meant entirely separate rooms. He had no problem with other people exactly, he just really didn't know what he would do if he had to deal with other people in his room, especially considering of all the people to stay up late he was the most likely to make groaning noises because of struggling with work. Plus, it meant he had more room for memorabilia and books. He sighed happily looking at his room, carefully putting up what he had. His clothes he put away first and quickly. But then came the posters, Sicarius, the whole reason he wanted to become a superhero, posters, statue, heck even books about him and newspapers of him and especially his predictions. While Terry himself was far from a genius, he was an excellently studious person and no matter how long it took he'd spend time working on something to figure it out. He had a fascination with the guy more then any other superhero he'd heard of, while he did still have a few memorabilia or posters of others, they were almost exclusively of Sicarius.

However, among these things, were also his own little prides. Gymanstics trophies, past designs for suits and such, pictures of him, his family, and friends, even a semi successful piece of equipment he was going to work on a little later.

And while this all might make him look like a complete nerd for superheroes, there were also an alarming amount of study books in his room that were not required for the courses he had taken, which were quite a few. He'd taken almost anything he thought might be valuable and while he was aware it would take up a lot of time, he also knew just how useful it could be. Ranging from unarmed combat and power development to suit creation.

He eventually managed to wind up upon the hero costume work and got onto the site after everything else was set up. He tapped his fingers against the keys, before having to delete the accidental typed letters. He sighed, he could do this part, easy enough. He already had images of him in his suit so that was easy, he just uploaded some of them. Reinforced to be resistant to bullets and blade slashes? Boorah! That really solved a problem, he let out a groan as he realized he didn't know what he could possibly think of adding. He remembered talking to another kid named Alex mentioning some kind of spreading of energy to decrease impacts throughout the suit, that sounded like a clever idea. Proportioning impact force. Annd what else? He looked at the unfinished device, webbing. Gauntlet launched liquid to solid surface glue rope. He knew he was going to have to work out the formula for that part, that was not going to be an easy thing, unless maybe there was a more intelligent student who already figured it out. The gauntlet itself was probably very easy, even making it reach a great distance, it was designing a good rope or something that worked like Sicarius's powers. That seemed like an excellent tool. What else would be good? Hmm, night vision, that seemed like a good idea. Yeah, that'd work.

Terry walked outside into the hall. "Boy oh boy, this is going to be an interesting year." he said aloud and leaned against a wall, just trying to figure out what he was going to do about all this. Parkour, powers, those were the easy parts. It was making sure you were combat ready, or rather, ready to protect people or calm other people down, that really got to you. He could study and reapply things to his costume all day long and it would never give him what he needed. "Maybe I should go into psyciatry, but like, only a little. That could help right?"

Ah well. Time would tell.

Stepping back and wiping his brow Leon took a deep breath as he admired his work. It had taken a while... too long, but he'd transferred nearly everything he'd need from the Heimstätte. Which turned out to be quite a lot, well, not a lot that he needed, but a lot that he wanted. Which were basically the same thing.

When he found out he got a whole room to himself he was pretty psyched. He'd been planning to only bring over the essentials, but now that he had the extra space, it couldn't hurt to bring a few more things... just in case.

First, it had started pretty simple with a couple more books, then another artifact, and now the desk was on fire and he really wasn't quite sure why. But it didn't seem to be spreading, nor was it hot, so he just kinda let it be. It was a pretty neat night light at the very least... not like he needed a night light or anything though. Perhaps most importantly though were the Weidmann bestiary, and of course, the wall mounted weapons rack that he currently had sitting over his bed. On it sat Skadi, Drakengard, Diogis, and his father's bidenhander, a rapidly growing collection that he was rather proud of.

Looking down at his burning desk he picked up the two letters placed neatly on it. Quickly skimming over the first one he folded it up and put it in his pocket. He didn't really need to know his schedule right now, but he definitely didn't want to lose. However, it was the second one that he found more interesting... new gear.

He didn't really want to get something all that new, after all his current armor was pretty unique, even if it was just training gear. Although getting it upgraded seemed pretty sweet, especially now that it had that big gash in its shoulder. As he looked at the torn blue fabric with faint traces of red still remaining he caught sight of the damaged skin covering his shoulder.

While the wound had been healed at an accelerated rate, it wasn't exactly a perfect restoration. There was still an obvious bite scar on his shoulder, which was cool as all heck, but still kinda stung if he moved his arm in the wrong way. Still, it wasn't painful enough to stop him from changing out of his blue gambison and pulling on a more casual plain t-shirt.

Dropping off his gear into the case he paused for a moment, realizing something he'd kinda overlooked. He didn't really give any specifications on what he wanted them to do with it. However, that wasn't really the problem, because they never said you had to enter in what you wanted before you placed the suit in the case. The real problem was that he didn't own a computer... or know how to use one. Maybe there was a class for that? First period "How to rescue hostages", second period "How to connect to the Wifi"... Yeah, that didn't seem all too likely. Nevertheless, the young hunter simply shrugged and figured they'd surprise him with the costume. Although he should probably drop by the science center just in case.

Reaching up he grabbed his enchanted longsword before swinging it behind his back and adjusting the strap so it fit comfortably. He probably wasn't likely to need it, but that was fine. Even just carrying it around helped him get used to the extra weight and the way it shifted when he moved.

So with his sword on his back, he left his dorm and walked into the living room, where he spotted a boy with grey hair looking down at some sort of tablet. He'd seen his dorm list before unpacking, but he'd never seen the boy before, so it seemed like a good time to introduce himself. The science center could wait until later.

"Hey!" Leon called out with a grin, waving his hand while walking over. "I assume you're one of my dorm mates right? Nice to meet cha."

Alex switched his switch into rest mode to greet his roommates, one of which he already knew. He shot Terry a nod before extending his hand towards the
Image
boy with the sword.

"Nice to meet ya the names Alex, I see you've got a sword too" Alex took a moment to admire the kids gear, walking around him and admiring the blade. "Looks like all of use use blades of somekind which means you guys'll make sweet training partners. Here let me show you mine since we're all showing off." He playfully nudged Leonhardt with his elbow before taking a couple steps back and holding his hand above the center of his chest. Small blue flames erupted from the region and from the cold inferno he drew a katana with a black and gold hilt. He twirled it around a bit before presenting it for both of them to see.

"So far I know I can conjure this sword, which is unbreakable to my knowledge, and I can summon force fields. I also put in the request for some special shuriken to complete my gear load out. What did you guys ask for or did you just decide to go with standard stuff? " He offered his blade for examination before dismissing it from his hand. Telling them about his new gear may have been a bad idea given the competition coming up but, he was super excited to talk about his new stuff let alone try it out.

"Oh and did you guys get the email, Hero License exams are coming up. Apparently if you do well enough you'll be given a provisional license that lets you do hero work within Millennium City and if you place top three they put you on a mission team which sounds SICK!"

Terry had gotten a bit distracted and hadn't realized the fellow students just right in the living room, only realizing it after he heard Leon speak and straightened up looking around, Oh well that's a really disappointing sense of environmental awareness isn't it?! he thought to himself frowning in shame at himself for a moment before nodding in response to Alex and smiling, walking in a bit closer and giving a sort of awkward wave at the two of them as Alex started talking.

Even though he was already not very close, he took a step back as Alex pulled his sword out of a flame, "Oh good grief that's epic!" he said somewhat loudly, glancing between Alex, the sword, and Leon. He looked a the sword, dang that was nice, he found himself wanting a more medieval looking weapon all of a sudden. Well, it wasn't entirely too late for that but he really had no idea how to use a sword.

He raised his eyes from the blade as Alex mentioned hero licenses and Terry took a breath in, "Oh I need one of those! I...guess I didn't read the email yet but I'm absolutely gonna check my computer later and really look that up." He looked at Leon again, "Oh right sorry I'm Terry Rogers, I...have zero superhero experience, but I can multiply either or both sides of action and reaction I'm in contact with to a certain degree."

Snapping his fingers and pointing them like guns he paused before dropping his hands and slapping them on his legs, "Right, gear, I did set up some stuff for that. I think I wrote down night vision, some kind of proportion impact spreading like you mentioned, and also I want to get gauntlets to shoot...like, webs from, I mean it fits the rest of the costume and it'd really be nifty...I just...have to learn chemistry and stuff first...I don't know how all that's gonna work yet." he said pointing at Alex for a moment at the comment on impact spreading. He turned slightly towards Leon again, "OH yeah I actually met Alex when we got here, gave me the splendid idea to spread energy through the suit...if only I was a genius that'd be so much easier. Didn't meet you till now though, so, hi again! Nice sword!"

There were a few things that Terry was good at, neat introductions was not always one of them. There were two great aspects about Terry, his determination, and his superhuman abilities, but for almost every other purpose. He was no different then anyone else. And that included trying to get into a conversation you probably should have already been a part of but somehow managed to not realize people were there yet.

"Oh, sick..." Leon half muttered and half gasped as Alex withdrew his blade from blue flames. That seemed so much more convenient than just having to carry a sword on his back or hip all day. "You know I've never messed around with Eastern blades much, most of the ones I've got are based off late middle age European swords. Which isn't that surprising, it wasn't until the end of the Satsuma Rebellion we really poked our head into Japan, but by that point, there weren't too many samurais running around, even still though, you really can't deny that craftsmanship. Hey, do you think I could hold it for a second? You could look at Drakengard if you want," He said, reaching over his shoulder to unsheath the longsword. "Oh, the names Leonhardt Weidmann, professional monster hunter, most people just call me Leon for short though."

He was pretty psyched to have found someone else who shared a similar affinity for swords at the school. If there had been one thing he'd been worried about it was, so to meet someone on the first day was pretty cool. Especially since the katana Alex wielded was nothing like his own blade, he'd been thinking about it recently and maybe the reason he couldn't get Drakengard to function properly was that he didn't know enough about all the swords it had inspired. While it bore the shape of a bastard sword while in Leon's hand, that was only a physical manifestation of the greater concept the blade represented... or something like that. Frankly, he wasn't sure in the slightest, but it never hurt to try.

"Yeah... about that," Leon said, pulled out of his brief train of thought by Alex's question about his suit. "I forgot to put in any instructions for it, so I'm gonna swing by the science center in person to fill out my request. Although I'm not quite sure what I really want," That was something he'd need to think more on. He had some neat ideas, but the problem he was facing wasn't a lack of gear, more than he didn't really know how to use any of it. He had a whole vault of weird artifacts and trinkets tucked away, but when even he tried to use them one of two things would happen. Half would do nothing, and the other half would try to kill him. Oh... maybe that could work. "I think I might want some kind of super first aid kit or something like that."

The comment about the exams did briefly cause him to pause, as he realized how little knowledge he probably had when it came to traditional superhero subjects. Hopefully, it was a practical exam and not a written one or something like that because getting a license to go out in the city would be pretty nice. He wasn't gonna stop doing his very important and official monster hunting work even if he didn't get one, but having one might stop some of the weird looks he normally got. "Did they say what sort of exam it would be? Or what it would cover?"

"Anyway, good to meet you too Terry." The young monster hunter said, turning to the other boy and extending a hand. "I haven't done that much hero stuff either. I was in Rome though, and that was pretty cool... err not so much what happened in the end... that was pretty bad. But it was pretty cool up until then at least."

As Terry explained his power Leon nodded his head slowly, poorly hiding his confusion as he tried to understand multiplying reactions would even look like. "Um... I think I get it" He didn't, "All I can really do is some really super basic not-magic that looks a lot like magic spells. Although most of the time I just strengthen parts of myself. Like my legs to move faster, or my arms to lift or attack." As he spoke the limbs he referenced began to glow with a faint blue aura. "Even weird stuff like my vision to see better." His already blue eye began to flicker before a brief crackle of blue energy ran over his iris. Causing his a bright light to radiate from behind his eyes. "It's pretty cool, but I'm still not super great at it."

"We should definitely spar at some point though," He said, grinning as he rolled his injured shoulder. He was supposed to be letting it rest, but it seemed fine enough to him. If he could swing without it hurting, then that was healed enough for him. Besides, being cooped up was boring.

"Hmmm...." Alex muttered under his breath as Leon gave a brief breakdown of his powers/abilities. The fact that his fellow student hadn't decided what kind of modifications he wanted mixed with Terry taking his advice gave him a bit of an idea as to what one of his skills might be. "Does using your power put any strain on your body cause if so maybe some minor bionic enhancements to your suit could alleviate that. Also...YOU WERE IN ROME!!!"

Alex's inquisitive expression seemed to leave just as fast as it came when the fact that the person in his room had been out on an actual hero mission. To him that was something kind of insane considering most of the new kids probably had only ever helped stop a mugging or two. This kid was in the middle of a city leveling assault kind of like the incident in California.

"That's actually kind of funny, I thought I might've been the only one involved in a big disaster. I actually unlocked my powers when that psychic kid attacked California. I didn't do much there and honestly I just kinda got caught in the middle of things. My barrier powers aren't that useful for fighting so I just kind of ran backup for the heroes there. I almost died too which wasn't fun."

He sort of shrunk down a bit thinking about the experience, it was traumatic. He would have to get over that though, heroes found themselves in situations like that all the time, even the ones without power. He strolled over to the coffee table and grabbed a flyer that was sitting there; showing the paper to both boys.

From what I can tell it's a combat simulation exam that tests how well students react in high stakes situations pairing them off into teams and having them fight against a mock villain during a randomly generated scenario. Also it says at the bottom that the test is..."

He paused for a moment as he read over the fine print on the paper.

"NEXT WEEK HOLY SHIT! That means I gotta get ready and train with my gear. How about I take you up on that sparring idea on Monday once I get my new gear? You in Terry?"
