Alistair rushed towards the bridge, shortening the trip with a few teleports, alarms blaring and explosions rocking the ship all the while. It was, in a word, chaos. The crew scrambled about, doing their best to mitigate the disasters in the Mississippi in as coordinated a manner as humanly possible. The deafening sounds of weapons fire and dying screams didn't deter them, for the most part at least. It was admirable, and their sheer focus was something Alistair shared. He was simply intent on killing any lizard he came across. There was, of course, an unexpected interruption to his straightforward train of thought as he heard a familiar voice in his skull.

I simply wanted to check what’s happening and wow, this is quite the disaster. And are you actually working with those things? Not the greatest of help, in my humble opinion. Please don't socialize with them more than you already have, at least. You still remember our deal, right, Alistair?

Now's not the fucking time!

More explosions thundered across the ship, causing a slight quake as Alistair was running towards the bridge.

I haven't forgotten, but this isn't the best time to be bitching me out about it!

Well, you have a point, I suppose. But there was no need to be so rude about it. I bet you don't talk this way to those precious doll friends of yours.

Alistair could almost see the smirk on his face as Isaac said that. The way he treated all of this as some sort of game was infuriating.

You keep looking down on them, but those dolls are coming off as a lot better than you right now.

He only heard a booming laughter within his mind as a response and afterward, there was only silence. Alistair really did not like him.

The hangar deck was mired in chaos and death with hastily-armed pilots, crewmen and the Mississippi’s organic contingent of marines doing battle with the dinosaur infiltrators as they attempted to destroy the ship’s contingent of mechs before they could even fight with whatever nefarious weaponry and devices they brought with them. As soldiers desperately poured fire at the general direction of where incandescent bolts of plasma or roiling beams of electromagnetic death materialized from faint glowing motes against the burning backdrop to either rain down upon the humans or anything that looked like it might violently burn or explode, the defenders were unfortunately caught up in a perfidious ruse, as the indiscriminate energy weapons fire was anything but, leading the defenders to be completely caught off guard when several squads suddenly found their teammates sent flying off with an invisible force or dismembered and disemboweled by an unseen foe as an unknown number of the wraiths tore into the defenders with claw and blade.

“FUCKING CHAMLELON MOTHERFUCKERS!!!”

One marine rather eloquently put what every human in the hangar currently felt as he slamfired his shotgun at the wraith that had just ripped his sergeant in twain after it had eviscerated the rest of his squad. The storm of 12-gauge buckshot splashed against the stalker to little effect other than a faint electrical crackling each time a volley of shot bounced off whatever natural or otherwise armor it wore followed by split-second flashes of a saurian form clad in a suit of chitinous armor. Down to his last two shells, the marine internally hoped that his imminent death would be quick… And that his fellow marines would be able to kick the sorry scalies outta his home. Having just enough time to rack the pump one last time as the invisible dino was right on top of him, the Marine aims a little bit higher and the roar of his shotgun was rewarded by a loud, wet-sounding crack rather than the dull percussion of lead shot bouncing off of ceramic chitin, followed immediately afterwards by a heavy thud and finally the form of the saurian aggressor popping into existence down on the hangar floor, its shattered helmet leaking out a slurry of bone, blood and brain matter.

“GET SOME YOU GODDAMN HALO REJECT YE-”

The marine’s victorious war cry was sadly cut short by a not-so errant plasma bolt blowing a hole through his chest, reducing his lungs, heart and ribcage into a cloud of ash. Just one of such many scenes of brutal violence that engulfed the entire hangar...

Kane laying on the cold metal would stand up, as he didn’t knew were the enemy could be and he couldn’t waste bullets, as he pull out his pistol and cock it before picking up Sarah.

“Stay beside me and Don’t run, we just need to get to the Condor and we will be safe, for now follow me!”

He said as he went to find cover first, before taking a look to see if he could find any dinosaurs and find these best possible route to the condor without getting himself or Sara killed.
Sara curtly nodded, attempting to be calm and professional, but her shivering frame betrayed her fear and thus the two attempted to get through the crossfire; surprisingly finding themselves mostly ignored as bullets and plasma whizzed above their heads. The abrupt inclusion of a third set of footsteps quickly squashed their escape plan however and soon Kane felt an armor-plated fist crash into his face, the invisible sucker punch knocking him into the ground as Sara screamed in terror.

The scion of the Photon Labs couldn't make out the exact direction of where the shuffling of feet was coming from, but his aggressor certainly wasn’t interested in hiding on some dark corner to pick him off from the back with a raygun. It wanted his blood on its claws…

After rushing through the Mississippi’s hallways and one very, very tense elevator ride later, Alistair reaches the hangar deck; where he is promptly welcomed into the party by an Allied Robot Corps pilot crashing into the floor right in front of him from the catwalk above, at first seemingly locked in a grapple with a ghost given that he was fighting thin air, but then his aggressor pulses into visibility for half a second, revealing it to be one of those invisible dinosaurs. As the pair rolled across the floor to jockey for dominance, the outworlder would note that unlike the ones he fought in Germany, the reptilian was decked out in a carapace-like suit of armor.

Said armored dino was now choking the life out of the much shorter human after managing to mount him as it repeatedly punched him on the head. To the pilot’s credit though, he was giving as good as he got; thrashing and bucking like a mad bull and trying to get his hand into the reptilian’s fractured visor in an attempt to gouge out its slit-pupiled eye.

The now invisible armored creature was still rather clearly trying to choke its opponent in his eyes, judging from their struggle. Alistair decided to intervene while it was focused on the pilot, and he blinked out of existence at one moment, then immediately appeared behind the creature. He swung down his new weapon, red lightning now crackling along its length, right towards what should be the dinosaur's back.

As Alistair's electro-baton bit into the Dinosaur's back, the backpack-like rigging on its armor suddenly exploded, dominating Alistair's vision with a flash of intense light and none-too insignificant heat as the reptilian was sent flying off the pilot's chest, crashing into the bulkhead walls before landing in a twitching heap as acrid black smoke and errant sparks emanated from its armor.

"Naknagputang duwag... Using invisibility to fight..."

The Allied robot corps pilot manages to get up without any assistance from the Swordsman, albeit with no small amount of effort before drawing his pistol and shooting at the twitching Dinosaur on the head several times to make sure it's dead.

"Listen, I need your help to save my brother needs help bad and he's trapped up there, in the cockpit."

The pilot points to the right towards Azure Defiant, which was closest to the pair, just a few hundred feet away. Despite the scramble alarm being sounded earlier, it stood eerily inactive on its berth and a closer look at the catwalks and scaffolding surrounding it showed that there were dead crewmen and mechanics all around it...

"Stupid lizards must've disabled Azzie somehow, cause he should've been able to operate it solo and step on those scaly assholes. Punieta, I should've stayed at his side..."

Alistair blinked in response to the flash of light for a moment, and next thing he saw was the pilot standing up and asking for help. He simply nodded at his words.

Alistair quickly approached towards the direction the pilot pointed at, though he was carefully surveying his surroundings as he did so, being wary for any ambushes. One couldn't be too careful, considering the presence of invisible enemies.

In the kaleidoscopic whorl of the In-Between, Isaac watched as the Spirit of Origin began to dissolve into nothingness. The radiance of her dress has long faded away, and there was a gaping hole on her chest, the cause of which was Isaac himself. The temporary companion who helped him in eliminating her left quite a while ago and claimed that he would never have anything to do with Isaac ever again. It was fine, Isaac thought, and he couldn't exactly blame him. No one would want to keep bothering with trouble of this sort, especially Isaac. All he ever wanted was to try out a highly recommended sandwich place, but it can never be that simple.

As the Spirit met complete oblivion, with no trace of her left to be seen, the abnormalities she caused died down. She would no longer be a threat, Isaac made sure of that. Her mind, body, and soul were thoroughly erased. But unexpectedly, the Spirit of Origin left something behind even then. An innocuous thing, really. A teddy bear. However, it too met a swift demise as Isaac set it aflame with a mere glare. A job like this can't be left unfinished. With everything done, Isaac stepped through a rift in reality of his own making, and returned to where he originally was. He looked at the busy crowd before him, blissfully unaware of what just happened, and was then overwhelmed with a strange feeling. A feeling that nothing was really happening right now. For some reason, the events of this world were put on pause. It wasn't something he could explain, but he quickly decided to not grapple with this right now.

Isaac simply shrugged and walked on. Maybe now he can actually find that Vietnamese-American fusion place.
