Don't Look Here!

A place for those who dabble in paint. Or, you know, pixels. Because they matter too.

Creative Habit #1

This is something that's super important to me and my evolution as an artist. I'm taking a class called Creative Process that focuses on how to be more efficient and finds ways to better your artistic abilities in and out of the studio. My professor is having us create our own habits (art-related or otherwise), and is challenging the class to stick to this habit for 21 days without fail. She's even having us record it and everything.
I'm definitely gonna be taking this beyond a simple 21 day challenge, and I sincerely believe that this is going to make me one hundred times better. My habit is to draw for at least 45 minutes a day with a sole concentration on anatomy, maybe taking a break every once in a while to concentrate on something that interests me.
I thought I'd mark the start of a great new habit with these sketches I did focusing on the head/shoulders and teeth/jawline. So y e e t I guess lol

Clone Trooper bois
The two things that really got me going as an artist when I was young were Star Wars comic books and dragons. I still love creating clone troopers, but I haven't put it on paper for a long-ass time.

Lemme zoom in on them for you

This dood is the leader of this squad I'm forming (I guess). He's got this cool poncho thing wrapped around his neck for that bad-ass effect, and he's highly decorated. That being said, he's a chill dude. I haven't come up with a name yet.

Smiley

Smiley is my favorite design so far. I haven't seen anyone design a trooper that has an insane-looking smile on his helmet. He's supposed to be reminiscent of what young me was like when I played the original Battlefront II by Pandemic Studios. I was suuuuuuper intent on blowing shit up. I wasn't good at it, but it was fun to do. Smiley's an intelligent ARC trooper...it's just covered up by his compulsive need to blow things to smithereens.

Bull

The name's a WIP, I think. Bull is a self-indulged member of the crew that thinks he should be where the commander is right now. He constantly tries to prove himself by taking up any task, no matter how menial, and tends to micromanage the others in his squad.

I'm not quite done with this guy yet. I haven't come up with anything besides the fact that he fits the new guy trope perfectly, because we're gonna be cliche.

There's probably gonna be more clones in the future.
