Digital shenanigans

A place for those who dabble in paint. Or, you know, pixels. Because they matter too.

Can't go without an art thread, now can I?

Recap from the last thread:

Aaaaand this weekend I was at the Global Game Jam and here is a mash-up of pretty much all the assets I made:

I still need to find out how I can best add the game itself to my portfolio site, but if that's done, I'll put the link here.

Klapkut, you're aRt IS FRIGGIN AMAZING!! May I just call you Art-sempai?! Lol. XD But seriously, your artwork is beautiful and amazing. I just can't stop looking at all the detail and shading and-and- Awwe! It's so good! I bet it took you along time to finish these? Did you use Photoshop to create them, or something else??

Omg, thank you so much : D
The time they take varies. Portraits are really my comfortzone, and because of that I've become relatively quick with those. A large portrait with simple shading will take around six hours or so, very doable in one day. But the Shadowmere one was quite different from what I'm used to, so there was way more trial and error involved in that one.
I work in Photoshop, yes. I use a few downloaded brushes, but the standard ones a lot as well, especially for soft blending.

You are very welcome!
Yeah, I figured those would take a long time! The detail is just amazing! Where might one be able to download some free brushes? Or do you just have to buy them anyways?
