Isabella listened intently to his words and looked at him in the eye. She couldn’t help but feel bad for him. When he finished she threw herself st him and wrapped her arms around his neck tightly and smiled. Tears forming as she hugged him tight putting all her love and trust into that action to show him she cared.

Haze was startled by the tears falling onto his back. He had never seen anyone cry for him before. He had always thought if he dropped dead, no one would stop to think twice about what kind of person he was, yet alone be sad for him. Isabella was showing him all she could, that she cared about him. It was maybe time he told her the truth about what he was doing to her... not yet. It wasn't that Isabella didn't trust him, it was that Haze wasn't ready to face the mad Isabella when she found out that Haze tried to take her world from her. If she changed her mind because of it and left, the pain would be unbearable for Haze.

Isabella held onto him a little longer before slumping down and leaned against him. She yawned and hide herself from him. Curled up in a ball in his lap. Her body leaned against him for support. Her legs not really able to hold her up in the water.

It didn't take long for Haze to notice the looks around them. He sank deeper into the water with Isabella, wrapping around her with both arms. Only their heads were above the water now; no one could tell that Isabella was unable to move. "Let's just stay for a little while, until no one is looking at us. Then we can leave." He thought for a bit before whispering, "Don't trust anyone but me. I have many people who would want my head." The real reason he brought this out was because he wanted Isabella all for himself. he did not want some unknown stranger coming into his life and taking Isabella from him. The lack of love Haze received when he was young had built up into this strange obsession he had for Isabella now.

Isabella gasped as she was pulled down along with Haze. She buried her face in his neck to keep from looking around and hiding her face. Nodding to his words as she bit her lip and looked down once they were alone again. Sighing she leaned her head on his chest, not able to get up on her own. One day she prayed that her legs would heal and she could walk again and be with Haze and not a burden.

Haze slowly snuck out of the bath with Isabella, drying them in a corner then getting dressed once again. It was during these events that an idea struck his mind. He could pretend the paralysis wasn't a lie, and instead tell her she could be healed. Slowly, one step at a time, he could lessen the dose of tranquilizers, as if she was actually healing. Her wounds from the island was already almost healed, and she should be able to walk already if it wasn't for Haze.

"I can ask a person I know for medication, regarding the poison in your legs. Maybe you can be healed. We can go see him once we get to our settling place." Haze whispered to Isabella. He no longer needed to take the world from her; he was her world.

Isabella watched shyly as Haze took care of her, even drying her off her hair would remain wet though for a few more hours. Sighing she looked around then looked at Haze as he began to speak. He said he would find a medicine man she she could be cured. She would be able to walk again. A light returned to Isabella’s eyes and she hugged Haze with all her might. “Th-thank you.” She croaked as she tries to used her actual voice.

Haze was slightly startled to hear Isabella's actual voice. It was barely audible due to the small volume, dry and raspy due to how long it was not used for, and she almost seemed to be sqeezing the voice out. However, Haze was able to hear it, and realized something within Isabella changed for her to speak despite whatever traumatic event happened to her. For once he wasn't alarmed, but instead felt happy about it. He would finally be able to communicate with Isabella, with deeper conversations than just pointing. All Haze had left to worry about is another person taking her from him, there was no way she left Haze unless someone forced her.

But how would he protect Isabella? Haze had tons of enemies, yet Haze only learned how to kill, not to protect. Deciding to think about the matter a bit more, he put the thought aside for now.

Hugging him for a good moment longer, Isabella crawled and gathered her previous clothes and handed Haze the new dress so he could help put it on her. It was very light, simple, and baggy. In other words very ugly. But Isabella was to ashamed of herself to think any differently and waited for Haze to help her. Seeing she was unable to dress herself.

Haze had close to zero sense on fashion, but even he could tell that the clothes Isabella had was not the type that stood out. Was it because the dress was of simple design, and it was better for traveling? Even women didn't dress up if they had to be on long trips, with some exceptions.

But the answer was no. Isabella couldn't walk yet, so why did she bother thinking about mobility? His next thought was that she purposefully didn't wish to stand out. Judging from how underconfident Isabella seemed to be about herself, this did make sense to a degree. What if Haze dressed her up with all the pretty clothes he could gather? He would just be pressuring Isabella, and at the same time make her gain looks from men. Exactly the last thing he wanted. She needed to not stick out to other people, but be a precious gem to him.

Vowing to slowly pursuade the servant to wear better things, when he gets her to a place where only he could see how wonderful she really was, Haze finished dressing Isabella in the bleak dress she handed him. "It is going to be a long travel. You can sleep on my back if you wish."

It would take them the majority of the day to get to where Haze wanted to go, and he wanted to get there before dark so that he can start with his idea on Isabella's legs.
