Isabella sat silently as Haze helped her dress and she began to brush out her hair with her fingers to keep her occupied. When they were both done she looked st him and listened to what he said. They would be traveling all day. She nodded and reached out her arms so it would be easier to get onto his back once he knelt down. Once situated on his back Isabella closed her eyes and buried her head in his back mainly to avoid the looks they would recieve after leaving the bath house.

Thankfully, Haze had other plans than to walk in the crowded streets again. With surprising speed and swiftness, even while carrying Isabella, the assasin melded into the shadows, then jumped from one shadow to the next soundlessly. This was his profession; he had never been seen this way, as if he did he wouldn't be alive by now.

It was almost becoming dark, by the time the duo got out of town, into the woods, and finally to a small hut hidden deep inside the woods. "This is where my friend lives." Haze began. In reality, the hut was empty, but inside the hut would be too dark for Isabella's untrained eyes to see a single thing. Just pitch black.

On the other hand, Haze would be able to see silhouettes through the dark, with his eyes trained over the years to adjust. He could also pretend to be the doctor and himself at the same time, changing voices. Disguise was also his line of work, he was even disguised as a crew of the ship right before it sank.

Isabella hid her head and the rocking of his movement killed her to sleep. For hours she slept in his embrace hardly awake enough for his statement of their arrival at a friends. She was tired and looked sprung only to be met with absolute darkness. She was placed in a seat and Isabella felt sprung for Haze fear filling her as she looked around now wide awake.

([ ] for Haze's fake doctor voice, " " for his actual voice)

Haze spoke from the darkness, "This is part of having you walk again. The doctor is outside preparing for a surgery he needs to fix your case." Taking a deep breath, he added, "I will be next to you for the whole thing. It will be better if you didn't stay awake for the pain." With one hand, he held Isabella's hand, and with the other, he injected hopefully the last bit of tranquilizers he would need, to put Isabella to sleep. By the time she woke up, the numbing effects on her legs should be gone, although her broken bones in her right angle only had 5 days to heal yet. The wounds overall were all healing quite well, and she should already be able to walk with a cane, and even without one in a week or so.

Isabella’s fear grew and she began to breath heavily. She gripped his hand tightly and cried, bringing his hand up to her face and holding it tightly for reassurance. She was terrified of the now possible surgery. She cried and fought to stay awake as much as she could. She didn’t want to be out to sleep the thought scared her. Terrified that Haze wouldn’t be there when she woke up. Eventually after crying and her eyes closing softly, Isabella well into a deep sleep though sitting up leaning on Haze. Her body going limp, her hand still holding his in her lap.

In reality, nothing really needed to be done to her, but Haze didn't want to be suspected when Isabella woke up, that there was no surgery. In addition to that, Isabella could now speak. The day she overcame her fears of leaving Haze, and the day she figured out what he had been doing to her, she could run away to some faraway place he didn't know, with the help of some other man who found her attractive.

No. He thought to himself. I should be the only one who finds her attractive. She shouldn't be able to run off. But she should also be protected. All the contradicting thoughts rang through his mind, before he finally came to an idea. Carefully, while Isabella still couldn't feel a thing in her legs, he slit the side of her broken right leg open, as if he was doing surgery. Next, he brought out what helped Haze locate this house in the first place; a special alloy of metal, which he could find by dowsing.

He slid out of the bed, got a small chunk of that metal, melted it in shape, and had it surround Isabella's bone. The metal cooled in place and held the bones together. Now, Haze could always find Isabella, even if she was kidnapped or if she ran off one day. At the same time, her right leg was going to be heavier than her left, causing her to limp while walking; she would put her left foot in front of her, drag the right foot along without lifting it, then put her left foot in front again.

This would also repel any outsiders finding interest in her, and if Haze needed to, he could simply heat the metal very carefully to a specific degree, and scrape it out. With Isabella walking, she wouldn't be the burden she was worried about being, and even if she wanted to be of bigger help, Haze didn't want her to. He also didn't wish to ashame Isabella.

So when Isabella woke up, the lights were on, Haze was holding her hand, and her leg was stitched up. "The doctor said the surgery was a success. You might have to limp a bit, but you can walk. He also said if you went through years of using your legs again, you will slowly be back to what you used to be. We can check up with him in a year." Haze knew he would never let Isabella fully go, even if he knew she wouldn't leave him. He was full of paranoia, and went crazy at every thought of her leaving, as much as she was scared of him leaving her. "It is already morning. Want to try walking on your own feet? The place I wish to build our house is only a fifteen minute walk from here."

Before Isabella could either protest or feel good/bad about what happened, he put his lips against hers, and his tongue dancing inside her mouth. It was an unspoken statement that he was still next to her, and everything was fine, at least up to this very moment. That was everything to Haze.

Isabella woke up in pain with her leg, her body not used to the weight and the new cut on her leg. It took her a good few minutes for her to adjust to the light and the weight before sitting up. She looked over at Haze and listened to what he said and leaned against him for reassurance and help digesting all of the information.

Isabella nodded and smiled weakly wanting to try walking. Hopefully it wouldn’t be so bad. She didn’t want to limp much but she would if she had to. Better than crawling. Sighing she turned and got ready to get off true Ed and before she knew it, his lips were against hers.

She could feel his tongue enter her mouth and she gasped against his lips. His actions always surprised her. She closed her eyes and kissed him back softly and as gently as she could. She could feel her worried of the moment melt away.

Haze locked Isabella's shoulders over his neck, as his lips left Isabella's lips, a small strand of saliva between them. Hoisting her up, he had his eyes locked onto Isabella's eyes as he slowly helped her balance and move forward. She could limp on her own, but Haze wasn't doing this to just get the former servant used to limping. He could feel her warmth over his body, her gaze on his, and thier body syncing together in a weird sway, moving up and down as they waltzed forwards.

It was this feeling that Haze wanted. He was not alone. Isabella was in a boxy dress, her body battered and torn; Haze had his body scarred everywhere, himself a shattered mess in the inside. It was as if the broken pieces of two glass cups pieced together like a puzzle, becoming a totally new piece. Cracks all over, but still beautiful and whole in its own way.

Even the wind playing hide and seek in and between the thick woods seemed to whistle when it raced past them... the fifteen minute walk took almost forty five minutes, but felt like five minutes.

(I am carsick Q.Q I wanna throw up)

Isabella giggled and wrapped around Haze as he helped her move around a large smile playing on her now full lips from kissing. She kept sneaking glances at Haze as he helped her get situated with standing, walking, and getting used to her leg with its new weight.

Walking limply with Haze next to her, Isabella instead felt whole and new along him. Coming from a horrible past and a battered life she felt rejuvenated. No words needed to be said. Isabella only hummed a soft tune that only seemed to make the mood more perfect as they approached the new area.

Home. It was something Haze always wanted to have, but never could. For his new start, Haze would need to have his home far from the town, but at the same time making it easily accessible for him to obtain resources from civilization. This was a fairly tricky thing to do...

And thus this specific location was chosen. It was deep inside the forest, where not many people would come looking, and at the same time it was next to a spring, with ample water and food from hunting and fishing. Trips to the town wouldn't be as hard as it seemed either, using a small boat to row up and down the stream.

Helping Isabella get seated on the fluffy grass, Haze immediately got to work- it was still early morning, but building even the outskirts of the house would take him the rest of the day. He would slowly work on the inside daily, making it into finally a place where he belonged. Or, although the realization hasn't hit him yet, where "they" belonged.
