The day was one long awaited for; The launching of 'Fall's Song', mankind's most lucrative invention yet. It was the first Light-Speed ship known to the Solar System, and one that would carry the hopes of everyone upon it. The sun that gave us life was expanding, and already it had cast a planet or two into sweltering heat. It would only be a matter of time before it imploded on itself, taking every species in the System with it. That wouldn't happen, though, as the N.O.S.E promised that this new ship would make it to a distant world to scout it out, before returning with their findings. The crew on Fall's Song was special in their own unique ways; Each person was highly skilled in a very select craft, making it so only the best of the best got onto the ship. It took a lot of planning and even more bribery to keep certain groups quiet about the plans, but eventually the crew was complete. They were expected to meet in the Astronaut's Lobby, to greet each-other and prepare for the journey ahead. After getting situated, the crew would meet with the media out in the real lobby, before boarding the massive ship and setting off.
Kivaa didn't have much time to dwell on the ideas behind borderline stalking as the Motorcade finally arrived at the N.O.S.E Headquarters. She could see the ship just behind the building, sitting idly on the launching pad; It was a straight masterpiece. It was larger than anything she had ever seen, but she had little time to stare at it in awe as she was ushered into the building. Kivaa made her way to the Private Astronaut's Lobby, where she waited patiently for the rest of her crew to arrive.
As she entered the building, she only got a few odd glances as she made her way through the halls. Having stopped in the restroom to gather herself, she knew the Captain would already be in the lobby waiting for her and the others. The idea of meeting other people who she'd have to share quarters with for who knows how long was more than enough to bother her. Pepper had always been a bit of a loner, preferring to do things on her own than in groups. She wasn't opposed to the idea, though, and thought that having people to talk to was always nice. As she slipped out of the restroom and towards the Private Lobby, she felt a sense of pride in her. Pepper's parents always had pride in her, and now she could carry that pride with her wherever she went. As she entered the Lobby, she gave a simple greeting to the Captain and took a seat on the opposite side of her.
