William watched as a woman appeared in the doorway, a scratchy voice erupting from her vocals. It wasn't long before she dissappeared, and haven after her. That was odd. William took another drag of his cig and looked around

A disturbed sigh of relief was released by Sunset eyes as she found that she hadn't been followed. The dry pain in her throat caused to have a desperate search for some water. Didn't matter if it was from these strange folk. Not wanting to be caught by the woman or the man for that matter, the woman undid her cloak and placed in a satchel that hug loosely by her side. Sometimes when you needed to hide, your only option was to show your face. It wasn't like it was the first time she'd shown her face around here, she'd done it a few times before. Since she'd hadn't given her name to anyone they'd taken to calling her Sunset for the color of her eyes.

Not the most unique way to come up with a nickname but it wasn't like she trusted them enough to actually speak again or give her name. Thankfully someone noticed Sunset rubbing her throat and offered a bit of water, the people were nice at the very least. You see someone in need of liquid and they help her get it. She offered a simple nod of thanks and went back to where she was before. Keeping a close eye on the newcomers to see if her warning stuck or not.

Haven had scanned the room for the woman again but didn't find her. But her gaze did land on David, she decided she would wait until they weren't surrounded by so many people or in the same room as Harold or Miller to speak with him. Sitting down she looked at everyone else before her gaze went towards the door she had came through, she waited for William to return.

That girl.. gave him an even worse feeling about this place. William took a final draw of his cig before tossing it off. His eyes set for the other side of the compound. Will stepped around the building that his group had enteres, wary to keep any eyes off him as he walked away from the group. It seemed most of the people that lived In this place were at the breakfast currently. So it wouldn't hurt to have a look around. As he searched the area, it seemed a large part of place was generally just housing, mostly personal things found a long the place. Until.. A small building not too far from the hotels peaked his interest. Creeping up to the window Will peered in, realising what he just found.. their infirmary. Medical supplies.. and a lot of it.

5 minutes went by and the woman's words repeated in her head making her paranoid. Standing up she excused herself before she went to check on Will, the only one who hadn't come back from inside. As she peered outside she didn't see him, maybe he had gone back in? She thought before shaking her head, damn it, she backed up and headed back towards the crowd. She made her way through it, knowing he wasn't at the table or with Ami or David she went towards the buffet.

Looking around she noticed he wasn't there and frowned, she wasn't a fan of wandering too far right now, so she headed towards the others, as she got over towards Joe and Joey she asked,"You guys almost done filling your faces? I think we need to go now.. I'm not liking this. And Will wandered off.." she mumbled to them both.

Joe shrugged some and looked at the two before leaning in closer to Joey, his voice just loud enough for her to hear him alone, “You know I’d settle in with you in a heartbeat, but we can’t stay here Joey. Lord knows this seems like the perfect place to live and settle down, but it’s not. Something is seriously not right here. And if there’s one thing my father taught me and that’s go with my gut.”

He stopped when he saw Haven walk over. The worry on the woman’s face along with her tone, Joe could empathize with her easier than the woman knew. Nodding slightly he looked around. By that time David had glanced in there direction, and Joe nodded at the look the marine gave him as he looked back at Haven, “Don’t worry doc, David and I already spoke about it. This ain’t right, the vibe we’re getting from this place and the people...”

By that time David had left Ami’s side and walked over to his Haven and Joe just in time to hear the tail end of what Joe said. Nodding a bit in agreeance, David stepped closer to Haven and Joe to help keep their conversation private, “I’m going to see what I can do to get our vehicles back. Haven...”David gently placed his hands on her shoulders, giving her full eye contact much like he did when he helped her out of her panic attack back at the restaurant, “You keep both Will and yourself as close to Joe here as possible. All I ask is you keep calm and rest assured we’ll get out of here.”

With that David looked over his shoulder at some of the curious glances and he stepped away from the group again. Turning on heel he walked over towards the main table where Harold sat and decided to go all in, “Sir if you don’t care I have a request to make. If we could speak privately.”

They were listening or so it seemed, which was good. Sunset eyes ran her fingers through her curly raven locks, trying to comb it just a little. Sooner or later she'd have to find a way to cut it a little bit. Taking care of it at this length was getting slightly annoying. She didn't take her eyes off the newcomers for a moment as it seemed the woman from before spoke to members of her group. That was the moment she first spotted the man that seemed to be a soldier of some kind. His outfit and demeanor gave it away instantly. The young woman's hand instantly went to the chain and dogtags hiding under her shirt.

Pulling it out the jingle of the metal on metal seemed to help calm whatever nerves were driving her at this point. Her long, thin fingers played with the metal, the cool touch causing the tiniest of smiles to tug at her lips. Those fingers traced every detail of what was etched onto those metal slabs. It was one of the fee comforts she had left in this world, a reminder of what was lost and the one that taught her to survive.

A small shaky breath escaped Sunset eyes' lips as she let go of the tags and let them jingle as they rested against her chest. The sight of a soldier amongst this group was a pleasant thing. Hopefully they would leave and never return, something awful was going to happen here, she just knew it in her gut. The young woman had enough of spying on these people for now as she pushed herself off the wall. Fetching the cloak from within the satchel she carefully wrapped it around herself. Walking towards the exit her damned throat of course caused a small coughing fit as she walked closely to the newcomers.

If there was one thing in the world David couldn’t stand more was a politician, and it seemed Harold was a fine example of one as he gestured with his hand for David to go away for the time being. The man busy with speaking to his own people and too involved to give David the time of day.

Shaking his head he turned on heel and began walking back towards the others when something caught his attention. The figure was wearing some type of cloak, but David could easily tell she was female based on height and build. Though what caught his attention the fastest was the faint jingling of dog tags. Despite the noise from countless conversations, that was one sound he was able to pick out simply because it was such a familiar sound.

When he saw the woman making her way for the exit, David decided to trail, his interest now caught. Slowly he circled around and silently came up from behind as he coughing fit started. He evenly matched her pace along side of her, his voice kept low to not draw attention, “Mind telling me why your spying?”

——————

Joe had felt an uneasy feeling creeping over him and making the hairs on his neck stand on edge. It was very much akin to the feeling he got while hunting, only when he wound up being the hunted because of a mountain lion of pack of coyotes. He was glad when he had looked up to see David coming back, and at the same time moving around them towards someone.

Joe knew instantly that this person was causing the feeling he had. At ease he put it from his mind as he looked around and frowned, not finding Will anywhere as he looked at Haven finally while his hand rested over Joeys, “Haven where is Will at?”

Haven shifted from foot to foot,"I just said he isn't here, he was out back but,"she shrugged as she plopped down beside Lana. As she looked around again she noticed David had disappeared from view too, there were too many damn people in this one building. Looking back at Joe and Joey she leaned in closer,"This all seems unreal right now.."she couldn't wrap her head around the happy laughter or chatter. For months all Haven had known was violence and the screeches of the night that had her jumping from bed.

She couldn't understand how they stayed here, eating all this food and not wondering what was going on with the world right now. Didn't they have loved ones they wanted to see alive? Did they not want to get out of the country? What will happen when they run out of everything they have here? There were too many loop holes for this place to be running this smoothly. There had to be more to it. Haven just didn't know what, but she was going to find out even if it killed her.

Caught redhanded. Sunset eyes apparently had been caught redhanded by soldier boy whom had moments ago been talking to the mayor. Was that a tactic to throw her off guard to sneak up on her or something? Anger and frustration filled the young woman as the man walked side by side with her towards the exit. His voice was low so others couldn't hear them but she felt the eyes of his friends on her back. In response to his accuse of spying the figure let out a low but gravelly growl warning the man about his words. Fool...they were in a crowded place and he accuses her of spying, if they wrong people heard then they could both be in trouble.

After another coughing fit due to the fact she tried growling, which had been a bad idea because of how painful it turned out to be she outright stopped. Having moved them more towards the edge of the crowd and away from ears that would care about what was said she turned to him. Like with the woman from before Sunset eyes kept her head low, keeping her face hidden beneath her cloak. Her first move was the unconscious want to hold her brothers dogtails, causing the jiggling to cease for the moment. This man was a soldier...a soldier like Aaron..could she trust him above others?" No....spying...watching...warning...Eden bad...best...leave...You...real...soldier?" Sunset eyes spoke up through her rough and disturbed voice. Almost sounding a bit nervous when she asked the man if he was a real soldier. If he was..then she'd admit to him her feeling...maybe even help his friends get away. It's something Aaron would do.
