Oliver nodded and took his axe in hand, walking out slowly into the middle of the street. He reached down slowly and picked up the lid to a garbage can. "Here we go.." He muttered to himself before he began whooping and hollering, accompanied by the banging of his hatchet on the lid of a trash can.

It didn't take long for the small horde to hone in on Oliver. Oliver backed away slowly, leading the hoard away from his family and breaking into a run as soon as the walkers got too close

Asher awoke with a start as freezing water was dumped onto his face. The shock took his breath away for a few seconds as he shot up from his resting position on the ugly beige couch, unintentionally bashing his head against an old metal bucket. The hell? He rubbed the sore spot on the front of his head after wiping water out of his eyes and was met with the angry gruff voice of an old man. "Boy, what did I tell you about drinking on the goddamn couch? Get your ass up!"
Asher complied and sat up on the now-drenched couch, looking up and seeing the worn face of Harvey. The old man certainly didn't look like a happy camper, that was for sure. The bucket dripping with water was in his right hand and an ancient cane with intricate designs was in his left. Harvey wore a stereotypical old man cardigan with nice dress pants, looking even more wrinkled than he was.
"I told you not to drink in my damn house! It smells and you always end up sleeping here. Go on, boy! Scram!"
"Okay, okay!" Asher cried as he shot up, narrowly avoiding being hit in the head by the bucket. On his way out the door he grabbed his jacket and crossbow and took off into the night. He needed to get home and grab a new shirt, thanks to Harvey. Asher's eyes felt heavy as he walked thanks to the alcohol. He had another rough day of finding jack shit about his sister and mother, and it drove him back to the bottle. Damn...I gotta find something else. Harvey's gonna kill me before the drink does.
He reached his house - a small white one, made with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a cellar, and a living room. Asher rushed to his room and snatched a new blue shirt off his bed, peeling off his wet shirt and slipping into the new one. The house was so silent. It was eerie, almost to the point where the ghost of Nadine's little giggle rang out against the walls. "Things would certainly be better with her here," Asher muttered to himself as he pulled his camouflaged jacket back on and hooked his crossbow over his shoulder and his hatchet onto his belt. He walked back out of the house and took a deep breath, feeling the cool air enter sharply and sting his throat. Asher strolled along the sidewalk, thinking to himself until he was needed.

It was another quiet night at the Jameson's tiny residence that they called home. Olivia was fast asleep, completely worn out from the work she had done earlier that day. She was a very lively lady, buzzing about the crops, running around the store house or working in the kitchen, maybe even all three some days. She was also very sociable, talking and laughing everywhere she went. She loved people and would spend all day around other people if she could, while her brother Colton wasn't quite the same.

Colton didn't absolutely hate people, however he wasn't as outgoing as his sister was. He did like to have his alone time and he did enjoy peace and quiet every now and then. He did a lot of storage and armory work as well as basic inner defense and anything he was really needed in. The reason he did these was to stay close to Livy. She didn't like to be separated from him, which is why he didn't tell her that he had stepped up to be one of the runners. Cole knew that if she had known he had decided to do this, she would never let him go, which is why he kept it a secret. He wanted to leave before she even realized that he was gone so that she couldn't stop him. After all, Cole had been feeling a rather empty restlessness for a long while. He didn't feel like he was doing all that he could. He wanted a rush and the life that he was currently living certainly wasn't giving him much.

Cole was having a rather restless sleep, tossing and turning, having nightmares and sweating. It wasn't on average that he would have these nightmares, but when he did, they were twisted and it was bad.

ace whistled again trying to get someone's attention at the gate "he was trying to be quiet in case there was a hoard nearby even though he was always fine with taking hoards. he didn't mind being outside the gate he was often found outside the gate since when he joined the town they didn't have a house available so he normally slept outside. mind you he preferred to be outside ever since the legion he has always liked to sleep outside even if the outside was full of undead.

"C'mon dad!" Jay called out to Marcus as he slid out from under the car. He watched as his brother lead the horde away. Once they were out of sight, they had to move.
"Where is your brother going?" Marcus asked his a hushed tone, a bit of anxiety dripping from his words.
"He said he'd meet us around the block. You know how this works dad, he'll be fine." Jay responded in a reassuring fashion. "But for now we need to get out of here before more of those things show up." Jay added as he stood up straight and began moving away from Oliver's direction.

A few stragglers were in Jay's path, nothing to give then too much trouble. He approached the slower one, taking it out quickly. Swiftly he turned to the other corpse, approaching it with intent to kill. A pull at his leg kept Jay from moving forward, causing him to trip to the ground. The young man let out a small groan as he turned to fave the biter on the ground. He extended his left leg, smashing his foot into the corpses face, escaping his grip. Once he was up he turned to see that Marcus had already disabled the other biter. Jay gave him a small nervous smile before returning forward, heading towards a group of houses.

Ava kept watched until she was relieved from her duty. Climbing down from the watch tower she began to make her way towards her house. But Avalon took her time, stopping to chat with a few people here and there until she arrived back at home. Entering the house she found her Father asleep on the couch before finding something to eat. Once it was warmed up she sat down on the porch and began eating the meal. As she ate she thought about tomorrow and how she would be beyond the gate and walls that had seperated her and the others from the outside world and all of it's horrors.

A shudder went down Ava's spine as the thought of zombies making a meal out of them tomorrow. But quickly she dismissed the thought, they weren't supposed to think like that. That kind of thinking would get them killed.

Slowly walking by the gate Riley heard a whistling noise coming from the other side. With a sigh she looked up towards the gate to find the people that should be manning it weren't there. Great a bunch of lazy people that could get others killed if they wondered of like this. After climbing the ladder to take a quick peek she saw that Ace guy on the other side with his lance. That was one of the strangest weapons to use in the apocalypse in her opinion, but to each their own. With a few grunts and after unlocking the door she made to get it open enough so the man could get in.

" Hey get in. Guess the people manning the gate are off something doing something else. Lucky I was walking by." Riley spoke with a slight annoyance to her voice at the fact two people couldn't do a simple job. How hard was it sit there and man a gate? If Ace were to be in trouble and needed to get inside fast he'd likely have been dead thanks to those two. The redhead made a mental note to give those two a piece of her mind next time she saw them.

ace watched as the gate opened to see Riley standing there. "thanks for the help if no one came i would have been forced to scale the wall or sleep outside the walls either or" he said as he passed through the gate closing it behind him. he made a mental note that scaling the wall is faster than opening the gate than having whoever was manning the gate open it. "you on patrol tonight?"

It had been over half an hour since they separated from Oliver, and Marcus was getting worried. "We should have met up with him by now. Jay we need to find him" Marcus spoke through heavy breaths as he fell behind Jay, walking rather slowly.
"We"'ll find him during light tomorrow.. He couldn't be too far. Right now we need to worry about getting our of the open dad. Finding a place.." Jay trailed off as the massive wall came in to view. "Holy shit. Dad, could this be the place we heard about?" He asked in a more hushed tone as they slowly walked the perimeter of the wall.
"I think so." The elder man replied as he caught pace with his son. "Maybe they can help us."
"Or maybe they'll try to kill us.." Jay responded as he stopped in his tracks. "You remember last time.."
Marcus shook his head "Not everyone is like that son. There has to be some good left in this world." Marcus responded as he walked ahead.

Riley gave a chuckle as she heard that Ace was thinking about scaling the gate or wall. They had barbed wire at the top for that very thing so he wouldn't have had much luck with that. Once he was through she helped him close the gate leaning against it for a few moments." Nah, I'm not on patrol. I was just on my way to...smash up a few of the training dummies. I can't stand being in these big houses all by myself ya know? Can't sleep so I figured fresh air would do me good." Riley spoke with a bit of apprehensiveness about telling someone why she was up and out so late. She was twirling around her favorite bat the whole as a sort of prop to show off her plans.

Brushing a bit of her crimson red hair out of her eyes the woman looked over Ace. Guy tended to have an unusual amount of weapons that were quite unusual to have really." So how about you? On patrol or something?" Riley asked with a bit more shyness to her usually loud voice. Being alone and talking one on one had never really been her strong suit. Talking in groups she was alright, just talking to someone alone was a bit nerve wracking. Not to mention it was dark...only light was the moon the covered them with its silvery glow. Damn it...she's been reading to many of those old romance novels..
