"Are you sure?" James asked with a concerned tone. Riley saying 'ours' like Noah was there child was a bit.. much. It made Jay feel... wierd, uncomfortable. He was only 6 or so years older than the girl anyway. It felt wierd addressing her as 'his' anything. Jay shook off the feeling as he looked at Riley. He did really care about the redhead. Love, he wasn't even sure what that was. It almost felt like he was being forced into something the three of them never had.

"If she gets hurt.. or she doesn't listen, she stays next time." Jay told her in a stern tone as he looked over at Noah. "Let's go then." He told her with a playful push on the lower back, towards the gate. Jay stayed over t to the large gate and pulled it open, making sure everyone one was on the othe rside before it slid closed.

"I know you want Marcus to be safe.. but.. just lool at how many are out there. We wouldn't even make it to the other side. I'm sorry, but we have to go without him." Charlie told the girl as the sirens suddenly came to a stop. He looked at Olivia for a moment before looking at the storage yard. "We can't go back.. we have to move forward." Even though the boy knew there was no way Marcus made it out, he still hoped.. For Olivia s sake.

This could very well be a onr way trip for me... Mason quickly shrugged that thought off and continued. From his earlier vantage point the roof of the storage building would drop them down on the other side of the chain link fence and away from the sea of undead that was now filling in the fenced in portion.

Quickly applying a quick bandage to his side he pressed forward to where Olivia and the man he had never seen before should come out. Looking up he waited for a few minutes, but there was no sign of them.

Finally he grabbed a hold of the escape ladder and began hauling himself up to the roof top. It was a slow and painful climb, but he managed it without making a sound. Once to the top he stagger a bit and leaned against the railing. Shaking off temhe disorientation he looked around and saw they hadnt made it to his area yet and were on the higher up platform.

By that point the sirens went silent, which he was kind of thankful for. It allowed him peace to think, but also made it to where they had to be stealthy. So placing his fingers to his mouth he let out a low whistle to get their attention.

Avalon nodded at Luna,"Home,"She said before she looked at Ryder as Luna grabbed her things. She grinned a little before she turned and grabbed her own backpack along with her knife and bow and arrows. She shouldered the bow and arrows with her backpack before she said,"Alright let's get outta here."

Ava hoped Livvy hadn't come out alone, but what was she even doing out here? She wondered as she walked through the hallway and down the stairs. She stopped short at the door, looking at it for a moment, it was the only thing that had separated her and the outside world for 14 days. It had been heaven forgetting what lurked out there, but she knew that was over, reality was back. With a sigh she pushed open the door and gave a quick look around before turning her head,"Ryder take lead, Luna please stay close. Everyone keep their eyes open."

-----

Noah twirled her knife between her fingers as she watched the two talk. She could tell it was about her with the glances she received as they spoke, once they were done she straightened up and grinned. At least they agreed to let her come, She thought as she followed the two. As she stepped back out into the world she had left for the community Noah felt her heart race a little, not because she was scared though, but because this was apart of Noah now. It had always been, her world since she was 2 years old. She didn't remember what the world looked like nor did she ever think she would, glancing at Jay and Riley she waited for instructions.

Ryder followed Ava and Luna down without a word. Once they had reached the bottom floor he moved his radio ear piece and hooked up his throat mic so he could communicate without giving them away.

When Ava asked him to take point he nodded and poked his head out the door, scanned their surroundings then looked back at the women. He placed his hand to his neck and pushed down on the throat mic, "Heading your way Mason, possible eta 30 minutes..."

He gave the ladies a reassuring smile, then shouldered his rifle and silently stepped out into the street. His rifle sweeper back and forth, and along windows and roof tops. He had a slight limp, but even in the garbage debries ridden streets he was absolutely silent. And it was in that silence Ryder realized the distant alarm had ceased.

Luna flet herself shiver at the thought and hearing the word home coming from Ava. She wasn't fully with the idea of leaving the place she'd spent the last year in. It was by far the best place she live in thus far, easily defended and her traps notified her if anyone went upstairs. This place was like casting a very useful tool to the side and forgetting it existed. If this new home didn't work out though she would be sure to return and reclaim it however she had to. For now she was helping Ava and her man friend find someone else that was important to her. They had to be careful though, this side of the city had bandits all over and they were the worst she'd seen yet. Silently the ashen haired girl followed behind the other two until she was suddenly gone.

Luna was quick and hoped she could return before the others knew she was even gone. If she was leaving then it was best to bring the stockpile of weapons she had stored. A ton of weapons she picked up from bandits and what not that attacked her. Using her pipe spear the young girl pried off a tile on the floor to reveal another duffle bag sitting in a small space. Luna quickly scooped it up, feeling a great weight having all these weapons in one bag. With that the small girl hurried off to catch up with the others, being a lot slower with everything she was carrying.

" Weapons....lot...bag" Luna spoke to Ava once she caught back up, almost seeming like she appeared from nowhere. The girl was obviously slowed and hoped the woman and her people could use these weapons. She just had to get them back home first, it was like an offer to show she can pull her own weight. Stuff like that was important the feral girl.

Avalon had been paying attention to where they were going that she didn't notice Luna had left before returning. She jumped a little before looking down at the bag and smiling a little with a nod, she had to give it to her she was very smart. As she looked ahead she chewed on her lower lip, she had no idea what was waiting for them but she hoped that if Livvy came out here she had at least found Cole.

The thought of her friend made her heart squeeze a little. She didn't remember how long it had been since she last seen him, maybe almost a month now? She wondered as she looked around then forward,"How far?"She asked quietly to Ryder.

Ryder slowly came up to a corner and stopped. Reaching into his tactical vest he pulled an extendable mirror out and used it to peek around the corner. He grimaced some when he saw the massive sea of undead four blocks down around the chain link fencing.

"With what's down the road we wont be....I've got maybe thirty rounds of ammo left, and I bet there's around 500 undead down there...In not putting you and Luna in that dangerous of a spot..."

Reaching to his throat he keyed his radio, "Hold fire to southwest, range four hundred meters. Status report, over..." He frowned when nothing came back as he looked back at Ava and Luna. Quickly he looked around for a good safe spot for them. Across the street was another office building, but he quickly discarded the idea.

"Were going to have to hold tight until Mason contacts me back with a sitrep...." He looked back at Ava, the worry clearly apparent on his face.

Luna seemed a little confused when she noticed Ava jumping as she startled her when she had spoken up. It seemed she had been fast enough that no one really noticed she broke off. That and she wasn't very noticeable within the cityscape. As quick as she could the young girl followed behind the others trying to deal with the chaos of her own mind. Part of her told her to run and leave before it was to late. The other part wanted to give Ava a chance and see the care and everything she'd give her. Eventually they came to a stop and Luna worked on catching her breath. The weight of the weapons she was carry put a pretty good strain on her muscles. Her arms weren't as strong as her legs were and thus made her more exhausted.

She listened to what the man said about there being to many of them and a lightbulb went off in her head. Grinning the ashen haired girl knelt down and started going through her bag of weapons. She had some pretty questionable things in there from blunt to blades, to guns of various makes. She even pulled out a few boxes of ammo for said guns, at the moment it was like she was a one woman army with her arsenal.

It was safe to say she's been keeping these things since she was old enough to fight on her own. Finally she found what she was looking for in a plastic bag at the bottom. Five perfect conditioned hand grenades sat in her hand as she looked up at the other two." Luna run....bomb...make....dis....distraction...Luna run...you get...friends." The little Luna said as placed the rest of her weapons back into her bag. If they found someone to trade with they could get whatever they wanted really. Maybe later she would trust them both enough to let them pick stuff out.

Ryder looked down, and to say the least was impressed. He couldn't help but smile at her as he nodded.

"Yes Luna, those would make a good distraction. When my friend lets me know exactly where they are we'll put a good plan together ok?" He looked back down the street again. Many different thoughts ran through his mind, different scenarios. His eyes narrowed out of the frustration of each one.

His breathing slowly changed, from normal to what was called tactical breathing. It was a technique soldiers and police officers used in stressful situations and helped keep the blood pumping strong while trying to counter the stress. It was weighing on him, knowing full well if he planned one wrong step someone was going to get killed.

Olivia felt herself tearing up a bit. "But we can't..." she spoke in a soft whimper before she suddenly saw movement and turned quickly. Her heart leapt for a moment, hoping that it was Marcus, and then completely stopped when she saw it wasn't him. She didn't recognize the man at first, and her immediate thought was that he was the one who did this. Then, after getting a good look at him, she realized that they had met before, but only briefly, after he helped to get Kenneth and John apart and then throw Kenneth out.

"What...?" Olivia a bit confused as she took a step forward. "How did you...?" She said, but then shook her head. She was at a complete loss for words at this point. Then she just shook her head, who knew, but it had to mean something, didn't it? "We have to get off this roof." She then stated turning to face Charlie again.
