Viscard took his hood off, even though his head was now visible. He knew all too well it was very dangerous for a half-lizardling to be seen. Under normal circumstances he would never go on this journey but his order sent him. There was no one in his order in the shape to hike all the way to Astore within five days but him. He had to give the royal family a tribute from his order. Viscard had hiked for four days, day and night with only three hours a day of sleep. The weather was great, though he didn't appreciate it being so hot. Even under his light and thin cloth-clothes, which covered his entire body and the cloak that covered his wings, he was feeling like a frying lizard. To get out of the heat Viscard took routes through forests and slept there for the three hottest hours of the day. Viscard hated heat and the beating sun, which was probably why he didn't even have many lizardling friends, they loved to bathe in the sun.

Viscard knew that it it was only about half a days hike to the city of Astore and at the rate he was going right now he would be there just before evening. So he lay down in the shade of the nearest tree on the side of the road to take a nap. He expected to be asleep for an hour maybe one and a half. He checked his surroundings but saw nobody, he put the hood over his head to not be dazzled by the sunsun and not to be seen. Viscard made himself comfortable and promptly fell asleep. As he woke up, he discovered in shock, that he had slept for four hours, he wanted to sleep through the night and not through the day. Then he realized he had been robbed too. Most of his money was missing, some fine clothes too and some other, not quite so important things were also gone. Luckily his order's tribute to the royal family was still there along with his emergency stash of money his armour and his weaponry. Quickly he packed his his things together and started hiking again. Lucky for him the festivities were tomorrow or he would be in great trouble.

As the city of Astore came into sight the sun had just started to set. It was time to change into his armour...
Viscard donned his armour. Greaves and sabatons first then the cuisses, the maille skirt, the breastplate and the plackart. After that he put on his vambraces, the pauldrons over his shoulders, then his bevor, his gauntlets and his helmet. Finally he strapped his mace to his hip, threw over his surcoat and started to march toward the main gates, which was still about two hours away. After a while he heard the sound of hooves, he turned around and saw a farmer on his cart coming up. As the farmer was within the distance they could communicate Viscard asked: "Dear farmer, could you please let me hop on and take a ride? I have been hiking for days and need to get to Astore before nightfall." The farmer replied: "Of course my Lord." The farmer sounded slightly intimidated and afraid.

At the gate of Astore, Viscard got off the cart and gave the farmer, who had moved right to the other end of the driving-bench (not because Viscard took up so much space, but because the farmer had been so scared) 25 copper coins. The farmer, surprised, thanked Viscard and rode off, happy to not have been harmed.
As Viscard approached the two guards at the gate, they straightened themselves a little and greeted him when they saw his coat of arms, luckily no scales were showing. After a short conversation they waved him through.

In the city was a lot of hustling, Viscard thought. He had a look around and then started to search for the inn he was supposed to stay. It wasn't hard to miss any inn or tavern, they were the noisiest places. Eventually he found the inn but there was a large crowd inside, even spilling out. He had to squeeze through and once he got to the counter he was informed, his room had been given away by auction. Slightly passed off, he went off to grab a drink at a tavern. He approached the "Blushing Maiden" and saw a very stinky fellow and a woman collide, which lightened his mood slightly, seeing not just he was having an awful day. He also noticed a man, who was rushing out of the tavern and began to throw up. That, the woman bumping into someone quite disgusting and the man having probably drunk too much, made Viscard actually giggle, he never giggled."This might just become a nice stay", he thought to himself. As he opened the door of the tavern he found out why that man had just vomited, it was the stench of that first man, who had bumped into the woman. Viscard wanted to join the puking man in his doing but contained himself. Viscard decided it might be worth a try going to the brothel and getting a room to sleep, on his own. And so he went to the nearest brothel for a room on his own, he was not really surprised when he was asked to leave. But he didn't give up and tried the next brothel, he was lucky and got a room. Satisfied he went back to the "Blushing Maiden" in hopes the smell had disappeared, which it had. He got himself an ale and sat himself on a seat, formerly belonging to a man, now passed out on the floor.

Ariazes smiles as she enters through the gate. She had been to this celebration a handful of times when her travels brought her nearby. Guards were relaxed and weren’t searching for trouble on such a special day coming and people were more tolerant of other races just focused on their own excitement. Who could blame them? She started making her way into the town, taking note of which streets were blocked off. Her imagination took off a little as she saw all the little stalls more or less put up as merchants were setting them up, coming up with little trinkets or what foods they could possibly sell.

She runs her fingers over a little candle alit on a stall that wasn’t currently being watched as the flame flickers before jumping between her running fingers as she turns into a less crowded street in search of a cheap inn that could possibly have a room. About halfway down the street, she notices three little kids staring at her. That wasn’t that out of the ordinary. Her horns, tail and/or blue skin could gain stares if the person wasn't used to seeing anything like that. She smiled at them then noticed they weren’t staring at her face. They were staring at the flame. She forgot that magic was kinda a taboo in Astoria. She moves the flame to her palm before walking over to them and crouching down. She held a finger up to her lips smiling as she flipped her palm upwards and made the flame dance across her hand. She watched as at first the kids were scared but their unbroken curiosity of the world made it hard for them to look away. The kids eventually smiled and giggled as she made the flame into miniature shapes like a horse and had it galloped up her arm then into a kitten down the other. When she hears a door open nearby from one of the houses she extinguishes the flame as she suddenly stands up backing away from the kids. She watches as the kids run off. Hopefully, they will remember. Magic is such a sad thing to be a taboo.

Wandering the streets trying to waste some time since she didn’t want to be stuck in a room when there was so much to see. Especially when everyone is so excited. She looks over the crowd back on the main road. Spotting a familiar face she waves at him when she catches his eyes. Weird, he seems heavily armed for coming to a celebration. She shrugs it off blaming the guards. He wasn’t the first she saw armed like that and probably wouldn’t be the last. When he reaches her he stands a bit straighter and completely stiff till she smirks and nods.

“How’s being a lone wolf doing?” But she knew what he was really saying, Was it worth leaving us?

“Never been better. You should try it when you can.” She knew she was lucky to get out when she was able to, and it's not like they have left her completely alone. Even if her coin purse was a bit lighter than she liked she didn't regret her choice. Patting him on the shoulder she walks out onto the busy street not waiting for his response.

Eventually, she walked into the Blushing Maiden inn. After paying for her room for a couple of nights she heads up. Once in her room, she sets her bone mask on the little chair along with her crossbow and gauntlets with the heavier pieces of armor. Rolling her shoulders and stretching her arms as she makes her way over to the bed. Slipping her feet out of her boots she flops down onto the bed, sighing as she feels her feet slight throbbing with each heartbeat. “An actual bed will be a nice change,” she says to herself as she almost instantly drifts off to sleep for a quick nap…

Slowly, she regained her stance, still retching, trying to breathe through her mouth and as rarely as possible. The man had a hand stretched out, offering to help her. How dare he answered with kindness! She was about to vomit due to his smell and he didn't have anything better to do than standing around, smiling at her with that warm, apologetic look. Why wasn't he insulting her, telling her to get lost, as all the others did? Aelynn was caught off guard. She knew how to react when people showed their hate openly, but that man didn't. She understood that he wouldn't let himself get provoked easily. Not until then she noticed the contradiction between the terrible stench and ragged clothing and his otherwise surprisingly well-kept appearance. While her frustration grew, she also became increasingly curious. The man filled her perplexed silence, apologizing for his mistake. Unfortunately, that didn't milden the unbearable smell. Even after the first shock, the sensation was still too much for her. She couldn't suppress her bodily reactions anymore, convulsed to the side and threw up, just as the man mentioned her sensitive olfaction. Why again had she been so eager to locate the source of that stench? "You think!?", she uttered and wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt—a simple white blouse underneath a leather cuirass. Still, the smell was omnipresent and the acidic taste didn't help, but she could think better now. As the annoyingly calm man continued talking, she finally understood that he couldn't have been fully human either. His face was just too smooth as if he had never grown a beard, his skin flawless and his voice as soft as the white clouds above them. She couldn't see his ears yet was sure he had at least some kind of elf blood in him. The warning he told her simply rolled off of her. She knew what risks she had taken entering Astore. The second the smelly man reached behind his back Aelynn grabbed a knife from her leg holster and took a step back, ready to defend herself the second he would try anything. Her nose still curled of revulsion as she sceptically watched every movement he made. Without any sign of worry or hesitation, he pulled out some dark cloth and placed it in her hand. Reluctantly Aelynn lowered her knife and held the thing, that turned out to be a shoulder hood including a shroud, as far away from her face as possible. "Thank you...", she replied, raising an eyebrow at the man as he bowed and left–what a strange encounter.

As soon as the man had disappeared the smell slowly faded out, too. Exhausted and still nauseous Aelynn slid down the wall of the tavern until she sat there, cross-legged. Not far from her a man with dark dishevelled hair seemed to go through similar problems, though he could have been drunk just as well. "Someone kill me if I ever have to smell that guy again", she groaned, more or less talking to herself.
Aelynn had absolutely no idea why the man had given her that hood and intentionally pushed aside all anxious thoughts about cursed objects and other disturbing possibilities. She didn't want to worry so she wouldn't. Her knife found its old place in its sheath, then Aelynn lifted the gift carefully with two fingers. Contrary to her expectations it didn't carry any of the smell of the blue-eyed stranger, even gave off a faint scent of wildflowers. How the hell is that possible? Irritated but now drawn to the flowery smell that seemed to block off the malodour the man had left behind, she sniffed the fabric cautiously. Oh, sweet lords! Heather and field thistle wrapped her into a soothing embrace. Giving in to the temptation, she pressed her face into the fabric, inhaling as if she had been drowning her whole life.

Hawke remained leaning against the tavern wall, one forearm resting above his head. He had finished expelling the contents of his stomach and now he was taking a moment to regain his composure, a sour aftertaste in his mouth. Ale and stomach acid, yum. Muttering a slur of obscenities under his breath, he pushed off the wall, the smell finally fading to a tolerable level. However, the moment he did that, he noticed what appeared to be an abnormally tiny child, staring at him from across the road. He had to do a double take to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating...he was sure he hadn’t done any mind altering herbs at get brothel, but damn, maybe it was a legendary gnome?! It spoke to him then, saying the word ‘Humans’ in a derogatory tone. Rude.

“Just piss off then!,” he shouted at her, flipping her the bird. A man couldn’t puke without being judged, it seemed. Yet in the blink of an eye, she was gone, vanished in thin air. Alright, maybe he did take something at the brothel because things were getting weird. Shaking his head, he turned, and he finally noticed that he wasn’t the only one that had found solace against the side of the Blushing Maiden. A peculiar looking female was sitting on the ground a few feet away from him, her face buried in what looked to be a blanket of some sort? A cloak? Piece of trash fabric she found on the road? Hell if Hawke knew. All he knew was that it was really damn weird the way she sniffed the thing...like she was really just inhaling it. What was going on today?!

He stared at her with a perplexed look in his gold coloured eyes. “The hell are you doing,” he asked, turning his head over his shoulder to spit. Still had that vomit taste in his mouth.

Moon continues to read into the history of the land, the kingdom, and the religions of the known world. Surprised to find out that ‘Magic’ is taboo, but at the same time… being in a facility that tried to experiment on her for some number of years had made that obvious. It also points out why she couldn’t use most of her abilities, as Energy or plasma was her main use of power, but now she is forced to use a substance, or a force known as ‘Mana’. She lets out a quiet sigh before closing the book “I guess it’s a good thing I can use both, otherwise I’d be hopeless in this environment.” She reaches over and opens another book, flipping though the pages as if she is just skimming though it, but is reading each page that goes by. She stops on the page of Elementals, and looks at the 4 most common, and the 1 that is rare.

Fire, water, earth, air, and spirit being the one of rarity, she looks for abilities that they might have, but finds none, other than the fact that they are “elusive to grasp, difficult to keep awareness of in a busy environment, is not bound by gender, energy type, season, or cardinal direction. However, it is associated with the entire wheel of the Year, and all magical tools.” Moon paused for a moment and wondered why kind of “magical tools” that they are talking about, she shrugs it off and continues reading, only to find that there isn’t much left of that section. “Well, I’m most certainly not invisible… so what in Ixalurindal name am I doing here!” She muttered quietly, then pushes the book aside with it still being opened on the section for “Spirit Elementals”.

Moon combs her hands though her hair in disappointment, as she did indeed learn a lot, but left a lot of questions. Like how did she get here, why was she experimented on, and what goal did fate have for her in this place. She lets out a quiet wine before lifting her head to face reality, she needs to go further into the castle, to go past locked doors, and into secret rooms… surely the data about her is recorded somewhere, it maybe why magic is taboo, maybe they wanted to tap into that power themselves, or worse… a rouge group wanted to do just that.

She sets her fears aside and once more has a goal; to look for any information about her, or factions whom deal in magic. Moon hops out of the chair, leaving the study in a mess at one table, mostly on magic research and Elementals, while quietly sneaking around the halls of the castle, avoiding contact with any of the guards, she guesses that if she did get ‘spotted’ she would just pretend that she’s a doll. “Yeah, good idea Moon, pretend that you are a ‘Rozen Maiden’… be a doll for a day if anyone spots ya. Diana is going to get a kick out of this…” She muttered to herself while getting closer to another Study in the castle, hopefully with more about Magic.

With every breath, Aelynns facial expression softened. She easily could've sat there for hours with closed eyes, imagining herself on a dense field of lilac flowers. For a moment, that piece of clothing, given to her by a stranger, was her sanctuary.
A rude voice sounded, accompanied by a spitting-noise. Finally, there it was again: the usual manner in which people talked to her. Somewhat relieved Aelynn lowered the cloak just enough to speak clearly: "Aromatherapy, I guess." She found the rough-looking guy staring at her from above and returned his look provocatively. "Didn't you smell that man?", she asked, pushing herself up and pointing at her capelet, "This blocks the stench. Smells amazing." Now that she had said that, she wondered if the scent wasn't too subtle to be perceived by humans. Actually, she kind of hoped other races' noses weren't sensitive enough so she wouldn't walk around having to push people away who'd be trying to sniff her. Besides, how long would the fragrance even last? As far as she knew, it could vanish any second.
The man had a grumpy, gruff appearance, which instantly made Aelynn wanting to compensate for the beat atmosphere. She had never been the kind to cling to problems or unpleasant experiences. Even that smell-situation was already forgotten halfway. She usually didn't see the point to focus on the negative.
Though the males clothing and equipment wouldn't reveal much about him, it just wasn't possible he had a clean record. Aelynn got strong criminal vibes from him. Technically she was a criminal, too, though she never considered herself that. She just did whatever she needed to survive—wasn't her fault if that included some misdemeanors.

Aside from some odd stares at Aelynn for her actions with the hood the smelly man had given her. Most of the people pay little mind to the vomiting Hawke, and Aelynn's conversation. The smelly man had given way to clearing the streets slightly, but as his stench has passed since he has taken his leave. The street in front of the Blushing Maiden had begun to fill again, and for a few moments the activities of the citizens had gone back to normal. However the street did not stay that way for long. As their conversation continues, they would eventually notice the street had become vacant. Literally not a soul to be seen. However the cause for this recent effect was made apparent shortly, but this time it was not a stench, but rather a single woman. Coming from the south end of the city where the main gate is located, a woman dressed in rather tight leather makes her way up the street. Following shortly behind her are six armed city guards, and all have their hands on their weapons following no more than six feet behind her.

As she draws closer to the Blushing Maiden, the reason for concern becomes apparent. The leather clad woman is a dark sylvan. She stands roughly five foot six in height, and her long snow white hair rests against her back in a single braid. The end of the braid is held together with a set of twin Adamantite darts. Her tight leather pants leave nothing to the imagination, but brandish a host of dagger sheaths filled with an assortment of daggers. Her belts that sit overlapping each other loosely on her waist host two rather unique long daggers. The back of one of her belts has a long whip swinging freely as she walks. Her loose fitting white silk blouse is held taunt by a form fitting leather vest, and a host of pockets can be seen around the vest. Her light grey skin shimmers in the light from the light sheen of sweat that covers her body from the heat. On her face rests a set of jet black, small lens glasses to shield her eyes from the light.

She is just casually walking down the street, but when she notices a guard she walks right up to him. She acts all coy, and scared. "Excuse me please. I hate to bother you, but I would like to report a crime." The man looks down at her, and raises an eyebrow saying. "Just what might that crime be? Dress code violation?" She almost laughs, but continues to tell him. "This is the first time I have been in a human city, and I came a long way to celebrate the princesses birthday. I have done nothing but walk through the city. As soon as I come through the gates these men begin following me like they wish to abduct me. I realize it is not every day you get to see such an exotic beauty in your city, but I am really scared." The man scoffs, "You can drop the act. I would stake my life on the fact those men could hardly harm you, but you are right. What they are doing is an abuse of their authority, and that is not what we wish to show the rest of the world." She leans back, and her whole demeanor changes. A playful smirk comes across her face as she rests her hands on her hips. "What is your name male?" The man shakes his head, and says. "It is Walter miss." She smiles leaning in, and says in return. "That is Mistress, to you, Walter. I am most likely four times your age. Either way, you are different than most. I will remember your name. Shall I chase them away, or will you be taking matters in your own hands?" She says with a vicious smirk. Walter raises his hand, and says. "No I will handle this, but remember you are a guest here. Do not make me regret my decision." She smiles, and says. "Those who live never regret meeting me."

Walter leaves his post, and reprimands the guards who were following her. She looks around for a moment, and spies Aelynn and Hawke at the Blushing Maiden. She makes her way across the street to where they are. When she gets close to the area they both are, she holds her nose saying. "What is that awful smell, and it smells like vomit as well?" She looks over at Hawke, and says. "Oh....never mind, I found it." She looks over at Aelynn saying in a calm forceful voice. "You there....girl. Why do you smell like William's scent bag? How do you know William? The right answer may be rewarded."

While Moon is in the study researching information about this world, she would hear a small commotion outside the door. Some of the servants seem to be looking for the source of an awful smell. The commotion only lasts for a couple minutes then dies back down. Once Moon leaves the study in search for more information. She catches a brief spike in the Ebb within the castle. It appears to come from further above her, and on the upper levels somewhere. A strong spiritual presence, and of spirit magic. However the sensation does not last long enough to give her any sense of direction, but up. It is gone almost as quickly as she sensed it. It appears it is a shift change within the castle, and guards are exchanging posts for the night. Most of the halls are for the better part empty.

Aromathera-what? Hawke only looked more confused, one of his thick eyebrows raising slightly. A few seconds later, his facial features returned to his usual grumpy/bored look. “‘Course I smelt that man. The entire bloody town probably did,” he grunted, gesturing to the others recovering on the street. “Lost my meal cause of that bastard. Not a normal smell, that.” It was why he was currently outside the tavern and throwing up, instead of drowning himself in alcoholic beverages. Regardless, it was all over and done with now and he decided he needed another drink, instead of talking to this strange cloak sniffing woman. No matter how amazing she claimed the cloak smelled, he had no intention of testing it out for himself.

“Yeah...ok then,” he muttered, placing both hands behind his head in a casual manner, as he began to walk slowly back towards the Blushing Maiden’s front door. In the few seconds he had spent conversing with Aelynn, he could tell that there was something different about her. She had a unique look to her face that wasn’t all that unpleasant. He could even say she was quite pretty, if a little weird. Hawke still thought the cloak sniffing was extremely odd. So she wasn’t human? Didn’t bother him. Well, more so he didn’t care. He wasn’t one to initiate fights based on race. There was too much of that bs back in his ex guild, the Crimson Blades. Besides, it was way too much effort for the time of day.

He was nearly at the door when something strange happened, yet again. It wasn’t a smell this time, no. This time, it was utter silence. Believe it or not, that was more shocking to Hawke than the prior putrid stench. The silence was deafening, the streets a whisper of what they once were. “The hell is going on now?,” he muttered, under his breath. An answer came shortly after when he saw a very voluptuous Dark Sylvan walking down the street. First a gnome, now a Dark Sylvan. Rare...and very much hated throughout the realm. The royals had strange friends. Before he could take another step, the Dark Sylvan had approached him and his strange acquaintance. “Oh great,” he said under his breath, fighting the urge to let out an exhausted sigh.

The Dark Sylvan made a little comment about the vomit and pinning it on him. Hawke merely grunted. “What can I say, I aim to please,” he said, sarcastically, walking far enough away to give the two females some space. But not far enough that he couldn’t hear them. He leaned his back against the tavern wall and took out his pipe, the man filling it with tobacco, and then lighting it with a small flint he had in his belt pouch. He took a long drag, briefly glancing over at them, before directing his attention to somewhere else. Oh, what was this? Their little leather clad friend knew the smelly man? Of course she did. And judging from that fancy leather whip on her hip...well, this William was either a lucky guy, or a very unfortunate one.

Moon came to a stop in the hallway and looked around as she felt an energy pulled her core, beckoned her to follow its source, which came from above. She paused for moment as she thought about her objectives, the world around her, and the changes that have impacted her. She wanted to figure out what she is and to figure out why she was experimented on in the first place. But now, a piece of paper with her name on it is nothing but a distraction to her, as her focus changed from finding answers, to answering the calls of others.

After thinking about it, Moon continued walking to find a way up, to get closer to the source. then came to a stop at a staircase and looked up at it, as it looked like a mountain from her point of view. She pulled out some rope, a harness, some food and water, helmet, and anything else that people might use to climb a mountain. “Long way up...” Moon muttered while putting on the gear and beginning her trek. She started at the summit, with the climb of 1 step as she pulled herself up, then started to climb the second step. But she lost her footing! As she slips and falls back towards the first step with a squeak as her life flashed before her eyes.

She landed on her back on the first step while looking at the ceiling, she quietly sighs and sits up. “What am I doing? I can vault walls but not do the same with stairs!?” As her gear poofed away. Moon stands up and dust herself off. “Okay, lets try this again.” As she lunges forward and clears a flight of stairs in one bound and continues this all the way up towards the source.

After a series of bouncing off walls like a child though a staircase, Moon finally arrived near the top of the castle, she was afraid really, as it felt like a trap, its not every day you feel a energy source beckon you to follow it or seek it out. Her scythe comes into view once more as its beautiful edge begins to glow. The scythe is decorated with gold inlay and a series of runes that cover it entirely. Her eyes also begin to glow as well, as a soft blue aura fills them "this better not be a waste of time and energy..." as she looked around for any traps, people, or any sign of what was calling her here.

She snorted. That man seemed to get annoyed very easily yet she had to agree with him. "Definitely not", Aelynn said, folding the cloak loosely. That smell couldn't be completely natural, but she didn't want anything to do with it anymore. Then again, she had to admit she was curious why the mysterious man smelled that badly.
As her fellow sufferer turned and walked towards the door of the building she had leaned on, Aelynn took a few seconds to orientate herself. Since the crash, she hadn't really looked around. First, she had been paralyzed by the events, then had to recover.
Now a beautifully crafted sign caught her eye: she seemed to be standing in front of "The Blushing Maiden". Sounds like a brothel. Well, I hope this guys mood will lighten soon! A quick glance through the windows, however, showed her it was actually a tavern. Even better, she thought, shrugged and began following the man to get a drink or two, when she detected another extraordinary shift in her environment: The streets that had just started to bustle again were suddenly dead silent. Incredulously Aelynn checked on the man to see if she was just imagining things now, but he seemed as confused as she was. Most of the people had cleared the street and the few that were still present stood perfectly still. With her hand hovering above her knives, Aelynn took a step forward to get a better view, not even giving a thought about the fact, that there might be a good reason everyone else tried to seem as small as possible.

A grey-skinned woman in a black outfit, laced with daggers, strode down the street and into their direction. She had just finished talking to a guard, who now gave commands to six other men that seemed like they had been following the woman up to this point. Aelynn couldn't take her eyes of the intimidating, yet magnetic appearance of the woman that turned out to be a Dark Sylvan. She hated that the elves eyes weren't visible through the dark lenses of her glasses, but she would've bet that they were equally as gorgeous as the rest of her. When the woman addressed her in that assertive tone, Aelynn had a hard time trying not to gasp in surprise. She needed a few seconds to process the words that had been spoken to her. "Uhh... W—William? The guy who smells like horse shit and not washing for a year?" Whatever that scent bag was the woman talked about she had to mean the smelly man. William had left into the direction the woman was heading but Aelynn didn't know whether she should tell her that. Deducing from the infinite number of weapons she wore, the woman probably didn't come in peace. But then Aelynn also didn't want her as an enemy which was a very possible outcome if she refused to answer at all.
Though the young redhead was weirdly attracted to the beautiful stranger, she was terrified at the same time. A compromise had to serve as the answer. "I only just met him. We crashed into each other, he apologized and gave me this thing", holding up her cape she continued, "Didn't see where he went after that 'cause I was too distracted by his gift. You know, I reacted very badly to the smell and this helped a lot. " She shrugged and smiled apologetically. Usually, she was pretty good at lying, having done it her whole life, and even now she managed to control her posture and facial expressions, but it was obvious she was a little nervous—who wouldn't be, standing in front of such a powerful person. Aelynn's ears twitched a little. She didn't mind since she already had enough to pay attention to. Everything would go well. She really wanted that reward.
