Oscar cleared his throat as he sat down beside her carefully. He sat quietly for a time then shifted his attention to her “You play?” He asked her his voice soft. He wanted to try and make more friends. Maybe to escape from his already hectic ordeal with Primrose and her group. Plus you cant go wrong with a music buddy. And to add on top of that people around the room seemed to have their own groups. But this girl seemed alone on her own calling and that made him interested in her more. But he could tell she was a bit uncomfortable.

The girl laughed, and although it was a soft musical sound, it was meant in a sarcastic way. “No I don’t play,” She said, rolling her eyes. “I’ve just been sitting here hitting random keys and making them sound good.” The girl shook her head. Although the guy was extremely attractive, it was clear he wasn’t very smart and she had very limited patience for the unintelligent. She glanced up at the clock, and gave a sigh of frustration as she realized they still had a significant amount of time before class was over. This was her favorite room in the school, but not when it was crowded with people who fooled around with the instruments. As a couple students were doing now across the room.

Oscar chuckled along with her and shrugged “Seems that most people do that here” he rang and looked around at people messing around pretending they know how to play. He looked back at the girl her hair making the paleness of her skin he smiled “Im Oscar” he explained not sure if she was interested in him trying to talk to her so he slightly kept to himself hoping not to set her off or anything, she was fun and humorous and just about all the things that people want in a friend.

“Snow,” She said simply, turning her pale eyes back to the keys. She raised her eyes again when she saw one of her classmates playing the ukelele. Or what he considering “playing” — he was strumming the strings quickly, the poor instrument making all kinds of noises as he sang a song she didn’t know loudly. All his friends around him laughed at his antics. She furrowed her brow, wishing she could go over there and smack him upside the head. She had done that all too many times, though. And she couldn’t risk another trip to detention.

Oscar looked at her and smiled but the boys behind her were a causing a scene to laugh at and it seemed to both both Oscar and Snow more than anyone else. He turned and stood up as he started walking over. He started laughing along and looked down then back up “Can’t play I assume, but thats’s not a green flag to go on bothering everyone for a laugh. Because you won’t get one coming from the people who take this class seriously” he sternly said his tone more and more serious. The boy, someone who was a known advocate for trouble around school. But one that would not earn sympathy from Oscar North. Now or ever. Seemed to him that someone needs to stand up while Primrose Baker was recovering. And it just so happened Oscar was in the right place at the right time. Knowing damn well all these guys could beat the shit out of him he wasn’t one to sit back and on the sidelines speak up for wrong doing. His eyepatch may cause some laughs and its all fun and games but right is right. He stood firmly and crossed his arms looking at the tall and buff statues that stood in front of him.

Snow watched the kid get up and waltz over to Micheal and his crew. She wanted to facepalm. Was this guy truly an idiot?

The guy who had been “playing” the ukelele stood, towering over Oscar. Micheal Fairchild was known for many things, his height being one. He was a whopping 6’9. He didn’t play basketball, but he very well could have. Snow watched him cross his long arms across his chest as his friends all watched in glee, and Oscar — well he just stood there like a small bug about to be squashed.

“Is there a problem?” Professor James spoke up, taking a sip from his coffee. Micheal glanced down at Oscar, before smiling and sitting back down.

“Of course not, Prof. Patchy the Pirate here was just trying to start trouble.”

Professor James turned his attention to Oscar. “Well Mr. North. I’m not sure how they did it in your previous school but I assure you things like that don’t fly in this school — specifically my class. I advice you to watch yourself.”

Snow shook her head, watching the scene before her. Men truly were idiots.

Oscar gave a glance at the towering man and heard the teacher looking over and gave a nod but switched back to Micheal with a smile “There’s not a problem right? Don't hurt yourself” he smirked and turned to walk away. There was nothing Oscar hated more than punks but he didn't care if now he had another target on his back. He was skinny and not a buff as all these other guys. But he had more balls then all of them put together and that was just something they couldn't take away. Oscar gave Snow a shrug as he walked out of the area into another vast place of people hanging around with instruments that seemed to know what they were doing, at least trying to.

Snow watched Oscar go after the interaction was over. Her gaze shifted between the laughing group of boys and the kid with the eyepatch. She chewed on her lip thoughtfully before getting up and following him into the other side of the music room.

“So new and stupid, huh?” She asked, coming up behind him. She had her notebook tucked under her arm, and her hands were clasped together in front of her. Her pale eyes traveled over the room, watching as most of the students worked on homework or messed around with instruments.

Oscar heard her voice behind him and he chuckled charmingly turning around “A lot more where that came from” he added to her remark shoving his hands in his pockets. This was certainly getting his mind off Primrose Baker and the rest of the school. He looked around then back at Snow “Wouldn't be the first or last trouble I’d get myself in, you should stick around, it’ll be quite the show” he joked. His eyes was starting to get agitated so he thought the nurse might help him with his problem. He nodded at Snow and walked around her letting the teacher know he had an automatic pass to the nurse due to his eye injury. To which he was allowed to leave and so Oscar took his leave out of the room in silence.

Snow watched Oscar leave, a thoughtful look on her face. Glancing around, she decided to go back to the piano and focus back on her music.

After Heather, Amy, and Bunny had left to go to class, Prim had sat restlessly in her hospital bed. Her ribs hurt, her head hurt, and she was incredibly anxious. The time seemed to drag on by, and she resorted to counting the lines on the ceiling as her thoughts drifted.

A part of her was confused by the turn her life had taken. Only a few days ago she had been okay. Happy and content with her life. Now she felt like she was struggling. She didn’t understand it. Oscar hadn’t done anything to her... yet he had done everything? She wished she could call her parents. Or something. Anything. She was too embarrassed to tell anyone about the envy that was slowly growing inside her, but she hoped even hearing her mom’s voice would bring her some peace. As time passed, Prim increasingly felt like a child throwing tantrums over wanting more attention.
