Awww, fucking hell, already?! Strike Freedom, launch!

I decided to take advantage of the zero shift defenses and the Freedom's speed, firing potshots at the damn crab things!

Let's figure out your patterns and weaknesses, shall we...
Numerous crabs are blown up with ease by the beam rifle blasts, their attempts to defend themselves with their claws being utterly futile as the particle beams pierce through their disgusting bodies like arrows through air.

Unfortunately for Tyzell his high altitude attack made him a target for numerous Laser beams, which is really bad as Phase Shift Armor defends only against physical blows and kinetic weaponry; things that rendered his Strike Freedom largely inviolable against the vast majority of the Alien Horde's attacks, repeated concussive shock against certain delicate components and the pilot himself notwithstanding. But held virtually no defense against the Laser beams of the small testicle-like BETA hiding in the rear of the horde, utilizing real Lasers and not a particle beam or any variation thereof; there was virtually no chance to dodge their instantaneous and pinpoint-accurate attacks upon his Gundam as they were literal Light. The lances of destructive light quickly beginning to explosively vaporize holes or shear through the frame of the Strike Freedom with impunity, unless Tyzell were to engage his Beam shields quickly or drop down and hide from the Lasers using the Horde and the city ruins as cover, he'd quickly be blown out of the sky!

With a push of a pedal and a flip of his joystick, Liam launched the virtual machine in the air without stopping his shooting, taking in all the various hordes of alien monsters attacking him.

"Don't stay still for too long!" he said to Tyzell through the communicators, "their energy weapons are particularly precise and will destroy you fast."

At least their vanguard was not too armored, as it seemed that their strategy revolved mostly around big numbers, but he decided not to risk it too much, changing his flight trajectory at random intervals.
The same thing was happening to Liam's Break Zero, where the only thing that saved his virtual machine from being reduced to a burning wreck was the fact that he didn't ascend as high as Tyzell did and thus reduced his exposure to the Laser beams, but only just. If either of the two were to address the Laser problem, they'd have to punch a hole through the BETA lines to get to the Laser BETA; far easier said than done as their numbers were hardly thinning despite the artillery cover and that the giant spider-like BETA were deliberately hanging back from the rest of the horde, keeping watch over the Laser BETA like Sheepdogs.
The BETA numbers only continue to grow. Any attempts to avoid the lasers from the laser class BETA prove a useless and every second they spend in the air more laser class BETA focus on them. Meanwhile a tide of heavily armored destroyer class BETA charges down the middle of the battlefield.

Fumi pings in on the coms. A small image of her in her own yellow combat suite appearing on their heads up display. "It appears your enemy is especially well suited for anti air combat. It is unfortunate you were unaware of this before you sustained heavy damage."
Argh! Damn! Even if this ain't real, those fuckers bite down HARD! At least I'm in fucking mediocre ground, goddammit!

"Rrrgh...it's fine, it's fine. I can adapt to this..." I say, gritting my teeth. After all, not all information is presented on the battlefield. No plan survives first enemy fucking contract.

So I have to bust my balls, get squared up, and take down these suckers from below!

'Oh no, oh no! Don't panic it's just a simulation, it's not real...'

The simulator seat tilted forward as the physicist commanded the virtual Suit to sweep downwards, hoping that the alien laser artillery would lose sight of where he was.

Swapping one of the Muskets for the Transformium Blade on his back, Liam began to use it in conjunction with his gun to cleave as many BETA as he could, trying not to let them too close to his position.

"Tyzell, you have the superior long-range firepower, try to destroy their Laser Guns if you can"
That's when my partner put up the line.

"Right! That sounds like a stellar plan!" I said as I would try to find a vantage point, or at least an opportunity, avoiding the damned fire the best I can while I'm on the ground.

And when I do find it, I take the shot and fire at those guns!

Dragging itself closer to the warriors, the Guardsman in the ruined uniform and the Blueblood seemed to have concocted a plan, the two guided the catgirl to the forfront of the rampage.

"Ok all you have to do is distract it to buy us more time, just run up to it since its confused; it should be fine since you've cat-like reflexes yes?" The Blueblood said in an uncharacteristically pleasant tone to the Abhuman.

"Ok Nyaa! I won't let anyone die!" The Erheni girl foolishly strode forward into danger aganst the savage beast

"Are you sure this will work?" Asked the Expendrine.

"It will buy us a second maybe for the priest to save us before the thing eats us all."

The DRAGON arrived in front of the three captive gladiators snarling as the lone Abhuman walked up fearlessly to challenge the beast... Only for the Dragon's jaws to bite down on her upper torso and rather messily eat her alive by violently shaking the still struggling catgirl in its mouth, spraying blood all over the gladiators.
Azrael, using the slug rifle, shoots at the torturous implants forced into the beast's back, trying to damage something useful. He keeps firing while moving away from the beast, seeing how brutally it killed the Erheni girl, and not wishing to become a mixture of damaged metal and pulped up flesh. But knowing, that it is probably a better fate than what could of happened in this dark vile city.
As the Beast continued to eat the abhuman, even as the drug dispensers on its spine were shot off by the Archmagos; the plasma gun he had discarded was starting to smoke and let out violent arcs of unchained plasma, glassing and blackening the sands around it and causing its normally heat-resistant housing to beign glowing from the baleful energies it was struggling to safely contain.

"Just don't touch my stuff again without asking, capiche? You're lucky that my ability to make Black ICE is nowhere near as good as my friend's; otherwise I'd have to deal with two injured teammates. Should've fucking hid the pod better..."

Returning to the pod, Springway punches in an encryption key before going back inside.

"BTW Gabe? After your bath, can you stow this inside the cargo container? The cleanest one around, can't miss it. And lock it from the outside too for fuck's sake."

Closing the pod, the doll returns to its slumber. And miles away, Sideways' awareness returns.

"Uh, hey 'Blaze, I'd really appreciate it if you would stop poking me."
Gabriel simply gave away a nod at Springway's request. Unsure of what to make out of the situation, he only helplessly watched as both of the robots took their own paths. Shrugging, Gabriel walked off as well to mind his own business. Back to the Gunleon it was! Very conveniently, Gabe found most of what was going to be necessary to take a proper shower: Two soaps, one of them with a few signs of use and worn yet good enough, and the other looked brand new; A small towel, presumably mostly used to clean someone's face; A half-full pack of facial cleansing gel; A half-full pack of hair conditioner; And lastly small bag containing some extra clothing, composed of a fairly baggy, crimson-colored sleeveless shirt (Which he would pick to switch clothes after bath), another dark-green colored long-sleeved shirt, white shorts (Another clothing change pick), dark blue pants, black sandals, a pair of worn out social shoes and a spare gray boxer underwear.

After picking out the sleeveless shirt, shorts, sandals, underwear and his bathing products, Gabriel hurried over to the hose in the hangar. Then, proceeded to carefully remove his dirty, smelly mechanic's jumpsuit and these worn-out sneakers he originally had on, separating them from his clean clothing. Gabriel would take quite a while to shower with his original underwear on, apply some of his extra products on his face and hair, wash his original underwear and jumpsuit, hang them somewhere so that the sun would dry these up, and put his choice of clothing on.

The end result? After Gabriel was done with his bath, it looked like an entirely different person. There was definitely a significant discrepancy between his beaten, dirty jumpsuit into his switched set of clothing. The face that once looked like it was overflowing with oiliness with a few spots of grease present here and there now looked like a baby's. The back-length, formerly messy and rugged long hair Gabriel had was now near-flawlessly smooth and with a pleasant smell emanating. Overall, he looked like a brand new man. Apparently, the current circumstances were no excuse for Gabe to forget about looking his best.

Leaving his jumpsuit and used underwear to dry up in the sun, Gabriel returned indoors to take care of that pod. He already felt a massive difference in his own body's temperature maintenance, as this new clothing was definitely more friendly to hot climates than that jumpsuit. First, he looked for the 'cleanest cargo container' around, as instructed not too long ago. Then, took note of the container's location before moving over to the pod, struggling a little to move it over to the cargo container. Wouldn't leave the pod just lying around like if it was whatever: The man would figure out how to fit it into a corner, and what to move to make decent room for it if necessary. With this done, and after taking one second glance at the container to make sure everything was organized, he locked the cargo container from the outside and left to figure out something to do until sundown.

Not long after leaving the container alone, Gabriel found AEK, whom seemed to be focused on the repairs of her own mecha. "Hey there. So, if you need a hand, I'm here. Bought a couple of spare parts on my trip into town, too." Gabe said, approaching her and her mecha.

The BETA seem endless but they are more focused on moving onward as a whole than tangling with you so your able to break free fairly quickly. You take a shot, but one of the fortress BETA scuttles in the way blocking your life of fire with its massive body. Your volley has minimal effect only killing two of the small monsters and if you can see the laser class BETA then they can see you. Within seconds your locked on by another beam.

'Oh no, oh no! Don't panic it's just a simulation, it's not real...'

G&K Base S09 - 19:56 - Commander's office balcony

Commander Sam Shepard leaned onto the the balcony railing, watching the sun set over the base as the dolls went about their day. He was quite happy, the base-wide airsoft training battle had gone swimmingly and really raised morale to boot. Even still though, he couldn't help but feel... Melancholic... For some odd reason that he couldn't quite place his finger on. He reflected on the past and he guessed the problem was just how FUBAR the world was...

Then came a soft rapping, a tapping at his chamber door. He turns yet finds no raven, and instead a tall woman in a red dress outfit, holding herself high and proud and with two bottles of whiskey in her hands.

"Ah, Lee. How might I help this evening?"

"Commander." Lee Enfield said, giving a curt nod; "You could start by sharing a drink and telling me what's got you looking so glum."

"Heh, by all means come on over then" He motions for the British doll to join him on the balcony; to which Enfield complies, passing him one of the bottles as she reaches the railing. "I... Honestly don't really know what's got me down. I guess it's just thinking about the past..."

"Heh, what about the past?" Lee enquires, to which the commander sighs.

"It was just so much simpler back then... I can't believe that I'm saying it but at least back then we only really had to deal with Sangvis Ferri... I mean sure there was also KCCO and the ELIDs and all that shit; but they were just sort of there while SF were the big enemy we were focused on. Yet now we have all these BETA and ADVENT and those Dinosaurs and Allegiance and fuck knows what else we don't yet know about..."

"To be honest, commander; you can really just liken the BETA to the ELIDs and ADVENT to perhaps 90Wish. We don't exactly fight them and they're just there in the same way their counterparts from the past were. And besides, think about the good parts of this place."

"Such as?"

"Every doll has almost quadrupled their effectiveness due to improvements to our tech; the whole of Anti-rain has been able to finally get a neural network properly set up so we won't lose them for good any more; we've become massively more powerful on account of us dolls filling a niche in military operations that most groups seem to have forgotten to have units for. G&K is doing better than ever even in the face of all this opposition."

"That's true, that's true... Mainly I'm just glad that everyone has found happiness despite the shit we were going through with SF... I regret every decision I made that put you lot in danger, even now... And I especially regret the decisions I made with Anti-rain back then... I can't help but feel like the events that transpired were my fault..."

"Not really, the cause of it all was that parapluie virus; and now that... Whatever happened... happened, we're free from SF and free from parapluie and while sure it's not all sunshine and rainbows still... You let us through hell itself and brought us all back alive and in one piece... mostly at least~" The commander chuckles at this, and as does Enfield.

"Yeah, you're right. I mean, I'd honestly put more credit on you dolls than on myself; I just sat in the command centre most of the time, it was you guys out on the field; but I will agree with your point."

"Yeah. I mean look at Anti Rain! They're all back together, they're all happy, and it would have never happened if not for you commander."

"I suppose not... Thanks, Lee; I needed this it seems."

"Any time, commander. Shall we make a toast to our future?"

"I don't see why not... In fact..." He walks over to his desk and presses the button for the base-wide intercom system. "Attention all Dolls and staff, this is the commander speaking. Everyone that can, please grab a drink - alcoholic or not- for I want to make a toast. A toast to our successes in the past; to the heroes and the veterans and the martyrs. To Anti rain, and 404, and FF, and matchstick, and everyone else. But I also want to make a toast to our future; the recruits, the rookies, the up and comers that will follow the footsteps of those that came before and likely achieve even greater heights for the future of griffin. The future is looking bright, ladies and gentlemen. So, a toast; to the past and the bright future ahead. a toast, to victory!" The commander raises his glass.

"To victory." Enfield repeats, raising her own glass. However her voice is drowned out by a hundred others. T-dolls from the heavy weight drinkers like BAR to the lightweights like 416; the veterans like Springfield to the rookies like MP5; the people with alcohol like AK-47 to the ones drinking safer drinks like Sten and her glass of milk to ones who didn't have drinks on them like KSVK; every doll and every human within the base raising their glass or simply their fist and shouting one singular chant...

"To victory!"

AEK was currently sitting on the shoulder of the mech, spanner in hand and using it on something inside the box of the T-doll partical cannon that can't be seen from the position Gabe is in. She turns to face the pilot while still tinkering. "I appreciate the offer. If I need anything I'll come asking. Oh, you might want to get behind something; once I dislodge this damn rock in the hydraulics it's going to go flying and I don't think your human face will be able to take a rock-sized bullet all too well~"

"Just something that needed the use of one of our least used abilities: Long-Distance remote control. Ah don't crimp your fenders over it, nothing happened that you should be worrying about."

And then Sideways and his posse are off again. A few minutes later, they finally make eye contact with their runaway dog.

"Ah nuts..."

And said dog was currently in a standoff with numerous bulky humanoid mechs, considerably less technologically advanced, aerodynamic and well-built compared to TSFs or even Valiancers, seeming to be bargain-bin rejects of whatever company(s) produces mechs for the denizens of this planet and at front and center of the group, directly facing down Sixshot as he stood his ground was a much better-off mech with a camo paintscheme, armed with a pair of rifles and with a far less uniform build compared to the jalopy-bots it was leading. Aiming its rifles at Sixshot's head, it's young pilot called out the rouge merc.

"Alright fido, you might not be one of those Ravages; but you stink of their robotic shit all the same. So you'd better get or we'll put you in with the rest of them in the boneyard."

Sixshot's growls menacingly in response before he retorts.

"Not in a good mood today meatbag. I wanted to destroy something big, dumb and durable, but you stinking humans and those piles of junk you ride on... Will have to do."

And then Sixshot lunges for the camouflaged mech in a burst of ion thursters as it and its allies open fire on the mad dog.

"Fucking motherfucker!"

Wasting no time, Sideways guns the throttle and screams towards the melee.

Maybe it was time to change that.
The machines that avoided Metal Gear's attack soon retaliated, having utilized their smaller size, despite their shambling movement to avoid getting swept aside by its legs or battered about; lunging and latching onto its blind spots while it busied itself with the other undead machines, the flanking revenants then tore into the Rex's armor plating, attempting to get at something important and vulnerable with claw and tooth.

Meanwhile the seemingly dispelled creatures suddenly stood back up, the otherworldly purple energies that had animated them earlier lighting back up like bulbs that had been switched back on and none the worse for wear... Save for the ones he brutalized, which remained inert, as their corporeal bodies were too badly damaged to return to unlife. But now he has to worry about getting swamped by these unnatural monstrosities! And much to Edgar's misfortune, the chaos animating the shamblers had a disruptive effect on his mystic abilities, preventing him from properly focusing all but the simplest of spells while in close proximity!
"That was unexpected." I leap backwards, and my titan follows suit. I twirl my index finger around, and the metal gear in the distance is flung through the air. As if some invisible force had pushed it. That would keep Adamska safe for the moment. As he recollects himself. Just as a precaution I conjure a wall of fire around him. That would keep the zombie horde at bay. "So, it won't be that easy?" I shake my head, and then crack my knuckles. "Alright, it will have to be something a bit more... blunt." My fingers spark with electricity, and as my titan in enveloped in it? It clinches its fists. It was with a quick jab that it shoved its fist into the nearest undead automaton, and that's when the steam engine activated. The fist shoots forward, and it is propelled through the air. Which sends a horde of the beasts flying alongside the hapless victim before him.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" A rocket punch? Adamska shakes his head from behind the wall of fire. His metal gear gets back up, and that's when the rail-gun begins to fire. A hunk of lead is propelled at velocities beyond imagining, and punctures the rusted armor of the robotic horde. The rotary cannons unload, and reduce the remaining soldiers to salsa. As blood splatters against the ground, and their screams are heard? The zombie horde try to approach the wall of fire only to either melt or evaporate.

The Titan Model-VII continues to crackle with electricity, and that's when the Tesla Pulverizers activate. It takes what remaining arm it has, and as the hand begins to open? The mystical and mechanical energies swirl together, and curve into an orb of destruction. The hand closes around it, and clenches tightly. That's when it thrust its fist forward, and the electromagnetic energies are unleashed. They become a roaring tornado of destruction. Anything that touches the electricity disintegrates, and is reduced to what component atoms they consisted of. The zombie horde disappears, and so do many of the soldiers beneath the titan's feet.

"Hey, watch it!" Adamska just barely manages to avoid a lightning bolt. "I didn't come here to die because of friendly fire!" He had a feeling that if he wasn't behind the wall of fire? He would died by now.

I couldn't fault him for having such thoughts. He was absolutely right.

"Don't move!" I grit my teeth, and guide the colliding energies around us. I would have to be careful. They tear through the surroundings, and as the army is obliterated? It drills through the air, and crashes into a mountain in the distance. Just at the edge of the desert. There is a deafening noise, and the mountain crumbles to pieces before collapsing into the sand.

"I think I took care of it." I nod my head, and survey my surroundings.

"You think you took care of it?" Adamska was aghast by it. "Alright, no more magic." He couldn't believe the devastation his partner wrought. "I don't even know where to begin..."

"Oh, don't worry so much. At least we're alive!"
