[Spanchez] Bloody Roses

Post by spacesgoats » Thu Nov 22, 2018 3:09 am

Emmaline stirred softly, her mind foggy as the final wisps of sleep rolled away from her thoughts and body. She moaned, her first attempt of dragging herself from the slumbers of the night failing as she collapsed again. Mid-afternoon light streamed into her window, causing her large blue eyes blinking until adjusting to the sudden brightness. She had remained at The Rose until the early morning helping Tabitha and her uncle John with cleaning the tavern after an unusually rambunctious night of drinking and merriment. A fight had broken out, leaving beer and food spattered about the large dining room. Of course, it had been Emma required to clean the entire room. Heaven forbid Tabitha needed to lift a finger.

Eventually Emmaline found the strength to rise from bed to dress and bath before departing on her way for the remainder of the day. She lived alone in a tenant housing meant only for single women. Each female had their own study and bedroom while sharing a common living space and kitchen on the lower level. The rent was low, the conditions poor, but it was enough for the simple girl to get by with. Her room was spars, a desk and couch in the study and a bed with a single nightstand in the sleeping quarters. Her earnings from The Rose were barely enough to support herself, but she has no idea of where else she could go. Her dreams were to travel the world as a famous musical, primarily on the piano. Tabitha was quick to point out that it was exactly that, a dream.

She found herself wandering the streets, the busy chatter comfort to her awakening mind. As dusk approached, the went to open the tavern for another night of business. Tabitha and John were already there. “You’re late, girl,” Tabby hissed from behind the counter.

“I’m sorry, Auntie. I had some errands to run before work. No one is here yet, so I assumed-”

“Oh, just get to work, girlie,” Tabby snarled. It was obvious that Tabitha resented Emmaline for the burden that raising the girl after her mother’s death. Emma, on the other hand, felt only love and gratefulness toward her aunt and uncle.

“Yes, Auntie,” she said softly, smiling as she grabbed a rag and began to dust the room clean. She lingered over one piece of furniture in the room, her hands light on the delicate wood. In the tavern’s corner sat the only piano that Emma had touched since her mother’s death. She would practice on it daily, a request that Tabitha had no choice but to obey. The sweet music and Emma’s voice drew many costumers to the tavern when she took a break from serving and collecting orders. She was both the entertainment and only waitress of the tavern, able to spread herself thin to preform both tasks. For her love of music, it was well worth it. Although, it was no surprise she was exhausted after a night’s work. But then an interesting male came into the tavern, someone she never seen, or maybe she has? There was so many nights in the tavern where men would come and go so there would be a variety of mixed men, and women of course, but it was mostly men. But weirdly, he caught her eye. So when he sat and went to order his drink she walked over to him and went to make his glass of liquor. She sat it down the short glass in front of him, containing the brown liquor as she looked down at him and smiled softly. "Mister, ARE you okay?" She asked, as her glistening blue eyes stared

The sunlight had started to shine through his mostly darken room. Jackson had stopped sleeping since he was bit, which he didnt notice because he does not get tired anymore. He decided to get up and shower, he got into the warm water and noticed there was blood rushing down him and into the drain “ugh” he groaned “another midnight kill” he said to himself as the victim washed from himself. He only slightly felt bad but some part of him didn’t because he had no choice anymore. Death was just another normal thing to him.

He got out and cleaned his teeth, which was pearly white despite how many necks they have sunken into. Yes, Jackson kept very good care of himself. He gets dressed in some jeans and and sweater trying to seems semi-human. He was going to hunt, at his favorite area to hunt. The tavern just a few blocks away was always a hit at all times of the day which would never bother Jackson.

Now you may ask why the people who sit on their ass mainly all drunk or passed out make the best victims. Well there are three reasons why they fall the best at the tavern. One, once he bites into their necks he feels a little human, he can taste just the very bit of alcohol which he never gets anymore but thanks to the humans getting drunk he gets to feel that lively bliss. Two, drunk people simply have no idea what is going on around them because most of them can’t even get their asses up to walk. And three, most people who go to taverns are because they are lonely. They have no family or friends, so no one will miss them when they are gone. Or they are just simply depressed, in which killing them may be considered a blessing.

Jackson strolled down the street and entered Th Rose, he glanced around and took a small booth in the conner by himself, he was observant of everyone and everything around him.

The young Emmaline looked at the male who came in and had sat at a booth in the corner. He was knew to her and he seemed to be new here from the fact that the male had sat by himself and weirdly, he seemed to he eyeing and observing the bar. Maybe he was looking for someone because he actually came in before? She wasnt sure, there was so many people that came in that were mostly men. For awhile and on most days, they were just blurred faces to her and they were just people. She was curious about this fellow though, something, an aura or something seemed to steam off of him and it screamed that he was mysterious... Very mysterious. So of course, Emmaline was curious and decided to walk over to him to seem like she was going to serve him so she wouldnt get caught by her Auntie. Her Aunt was always watching, always scolding her so she would always be working, flirting with men for tips or more money for herself, or playing the piano which was the best part, and only part of being at the tavern. She had a deep feeling for music, passion for music, but she immediately stopped when her mother died, not feeling music anymore, more like she wasn't really into it anymore since she lost the passion for it. Seeing as that... No one would really hear the emotions that music, her music had to offer. But she played, for her Aunt tavern, for a job, to keep in money in her household. She had grabbed a bottle of whiskey and a glass for him so she would seem like she was doing something for the man, when really she was curious.

She slipped a coaster infront of him before she sat down the glass and filled the bottom of it with whiskey. She smiled softly and friendly as she wanted to start of friendly and seem nice. "You seem to want to drown in your thoughts with your liqour. I'm here at your service with some whiskey. would you like anything else? Peanuts? Something to entertain you like darts?" She smiled brightly

Jackson had no words for the bar tender who served him. He had never been served at the tavern before, but that intrested him, intrigued him. She was beautiful, not like most around here. So when she smiled at him he politely smiled back, thinking that was the right thing to do. But when she spoke her words sort of hit him like a bag of bricks. Then his slow response came “No, I’m fine. But I appreciate the hospitality.” He said to her in a soft tone that was nearly a whisper. He then added out of curiousity “Um say, have I seen you here before? I’m sure I would remember such beautiful and youthful face.” He has said to her. She seemed normal, but she had not fooled him.

Being a vampire and adapting to everyone around him, Jackson just naturally knew that people were usually never who they stated they were. Which was fine, it left a little room for space to talk about those things and figure out really who they were. Jackson was a charmer, the ladies always did just seem to trust him with everything. Of course Jackson would say it has its ups and downs, but he was manipulative, when he wanted to be. But to break the ice you have to start somewhere, so Jackson thought he would start by giving of a vibe of trustedness, charm, and even some flirtations.

Emmaline was a bit surprised when he had engaged with her though, considering that all the men that came through here was drunk and hurled at her, insulting rude comments. He was decent, he gave her a... Compliment. She blushed a red hue across her cheeks as she stared at him for awhile before snapping back into reality with a nervous smile, holding her hands together in front of her tavern attire. It wasn't nothing too revealing, even though she did have thick white spaghetti straps over her shoulders and a short sleeve having for her shoulder blades. The under part of the dress was all white and ruffled, at the ends of the sleeves and at the ends of the dress that reached all the way at the bottom of her. And then she wore a red apron ontop of it. She slipped the notepad in the pocket of her apron as she went to respond. "I work here a lot, that's weird to ask because... This is my first time actually seeing you come in." She laughed softly. It was weird being complimented by him since she usually barely got compliments so when she was, she felt all giggly but... she couldn't help but not subside the weird feeling she got off the male, it was eerie but mysterious

Jackson settled back in the seat as her response was being said, he listned to her with his undivided attention. Then he nodded once and look at her “Well I hope it won’t be your last time seeing me. Shall we continue our talk up at the bar?” He asked her with a very questioning tone.

The reason is because of the man sitting there, previously he saw the waitress talking to him. But he looked like a great meal to enjoy. So maybe if he got into conversation with the man then he could get him out in the alley with minimal effort. He just needed an excuse to move closer to the man, the waitress was perfectly gullible.

Jackson glared in her eyes with his almost pit black eyes. His smile was irresistable to everyone. So to no surprise the girl with now blushed red cheeks was intrigued in him now. Maybe he could use this to his benefit, but he never wanted to get close. Thats the most dangerous power to give a human is the knowledge of his true self.

Emmaline blinked a couple of times noticing that he had wanted to continue talking... At the bar. What really threw her off was the fact that he wanted to talk to her more. She didn't mind though that he wanted to talk with her more, she would love a talk considering that running a bar basically "by herself" was pretty lonely. She felt herself getting a bit clingy to him and she would keep her distance if she did feel more of that because he was a man, in a bar, all of that wrote bad news on this male. But she couldn't help feel like he had something deeper inside of him that he was hiding to the world and to herself. But before she could go deeper into it, she couldn't from the look in his eyes that had dragged her in. But maybe she was was over reacting because the way he looked and that look in his eyes he knew how to have girls all over him so nervous like this or had conversations like this.

She shook her head lightly from thinking, trying to push away the thoughts as she saw him waiting for her to answer her invitation to the bar. She smiled softly as she went to grab the bottle of liquor that sat on the table and his glass so she could relocate him. "Of course, let's move to the bar." She smiled softly at him as the red across her cheeks had disappeared before she went to walk to the bar part of the tavern and sat his things a step down from a drunken male at the bar. She then slipped behind the bar part but she couldn't help but think as she glance at the mysterious male. 'You're different...' She thought to herself

You know how humans feel warmth with joy? Jackson felt the opposite, his body temerature seemed to decrease when he was moved some close to the nice fleshy man. Thats what he was here for, all he was here for. Food, blood, not lust. Although he seemed to have the bartender around his finger.

He kept a small gaze at her but still focused mainly at the drunken man. He had even leaned over and asked him if he was alright. The man nearly throwing up while answering a small groaned “Yep”. This made Jackson cringe but shook the disgust from his face quickly and half smiled “Filthy animal” he mumbled to himself.

Jackson was very aware of his surrounding. He kept his eyes out at everyone around him. His eyes falling on the waitress, to which he would give her a gentle smile. He was hoping to gain her trust, not that he would ever betray her. It was just nice to have her believe in everything he told her. And eventually she would never question the things he says.

Emmaline looked at Jackson with a soft smile from the fact that he had asked the male if he was okay. It was glad to see that he was caring, but she couldn't help but feel as if he mumbled something under his breath but she didnt want to go deep into things or over think things she probably didnt hear. She instead decided to walk over to the drunken male with a soft smile and slip out a few pills for him gave him glass with ginger ale. She usually didn't do this with all vustomere but most that seemed like they would throw up in the bar. Because if they threw up, it would be her mess to clean up and it would be for her to clean up all alone. She put two pills on a napkin and slid him the glass of ginger ale. "You should take these and drink the drink and go to the bathroom afterwards so you dont throw up at the bar. Okay?" She smiled softly as she rubbed his side before she looked over at the mysterious male once again with a faint blush from his smile. "You dont mind escorting him to the bathroom?" She asked
