Profile

[Picture (Optional)]

Name: Manni Squalla

Age: 16

Sex: male

Race: Human

Height: 5'9

Weight: 152

Appearance: Manni has an athletic lean build with greyish tan skin. His oval shaped head adorned with 2 narrow, piercing, yellow eyes just beneath his thin black eye brows. Manni has a stubby flat nose above patchy facial hair and thin brownish red lips. The hair on top of his head is thick and feathery, not to mention hard to manage, so Manni usually just slicks it back.

On his back is a tattoo of a flower with what looks like millions of paddles similar to fireworks. Then from the bottom of the flower it's thick windy stem crawls down his spin with 5 different orbs hanging from it.

For clothes Manni wears a dark grey colored garment worn by the inhabitants of Behbin, similar to a pancho that flattens when against strong winds allowing it to be used like a glider suit, called a tonfa. Manni has slowly been covering it in bird feathers simply to blend better though most the feathers on it are thick long pinkish white harpy feathers. Under his tonfa Manni wears a white tank top and baggy black shorts that tighten just bellow the knee along with shoes similar to sandals with padding on the bottom for fast landings.

Personality: Like most the inhabitants of Behbin Manni is quick witted and a smart ass. He's not very likely to ever admit when he's wrong and even if he is he'll think of a reason why he's still right. He's also stubborn, determined and a little bit of a sadist, he treats everyone who's stronger then him like his idol who he must surpass. He brings his competitive nature everywhere he goes going as far as to tell allies they can't fight a person just so he can settle a score but he would never act out of rage if he could control it.

Abilities

Powers:

-Chakra- Chakra is a big part of life in Behbin, though it isn't exactly necessary. Chakra is mainly used to enhance ones body making them more durable, faster, stronger, ect, but those who seek high education usually find a master and can learn how to change the nature of chakra, merge it with living and nonliving things, as well as detach and attach it to chakra. Manni is able to use his harden his chakra, usually around his feet, into a claw shape from scratching and climbing with ease. He can also speed up his chakra till it is similar to lightning around his hands.

Skills:
-Acrobatics- Having been born in such an awkwardly positioned place Manni has always been great at maneuvering and thinking fast on his feet. He is good at jumping from branch to branch(or tree to tree) as well as create space between him and his opponents using his surroundings.

-Behbin boomerang sword techniques- The Boomerang sword is only 1 of the common weapons of Behbin. It is really a sharp boomerangs with a handle on 1 end. The wielder swings with the inside of the blade facing his opponent for more of a cleaving slash. The hardest part about using this sword is seeing the handle as it comes back to you and the hardest part about fighting it is realizing the boomerang sword can only be thrown during a horizontal swing.

Equipment:
A boomerang sword(sharp boomerang with a handle), tonfa(pancho glider suit), stark knife and a bandolier under his tonfa with multiple pockets of varying size.

Biography
_

Far to the north of Azuria yet still part of the valley is rest in is a large mountain that is flat on 1 side and that side is covered in a tall, thick sideways forest called Behbin's vertical garden. The humans who live their built houses along the trunks of these giant trees, sidewalks into the bark and made bridges between each tree using vines and wood, but Behbin is no different from any other culture. The inhabitants of Behbin have fought a seemingly endless war with the harpies who live deeper into the valley and their way of life reflects their struggles. While Manni's Mother became a stay at home mom, both his mother and father were accomplished mercenaries who mainly did jobs for the Behbin chief, known as a Sage. Manni wished to be just like them and so his mother trained him to use her preferred weapon, the boomerang sword.

When Manni became 12 him and his mother began going on lower ranked missions together. One of his most memorable mission was a escort mission from Azuria to a small village who wanted to build a bridge to make trade easier. The man Manni and his mother were escorting was the bridge builder who seemed stone cold almost the enter trip. Manni was on guard the entire time because it was only his second mission and he knew there would be bandits, but to his mother the average bandit was like crushing an ant so she was calm. Very few bandits appeared but the trip was expected to be 3 days long. It was on the second night that the wagon full of bridge supplies was stopped by a man wielding a large cleaver. As Manni and his mother jump off the wagon and prepare to battle the man's blade is slowly engulfed in a thick blue aura that looked almost indistinguishable from water wiping and swirling around the cleaver. Manni stood still in aw, but still ready to counter, until his mother grabbed the young boy by his collar yanking him behind cover as the man slams his sword down releasing a quick yet far reaching burst of energy that quickly disappeared. The young boy had never seen anything so awesome causing him to be stunned but his mother didn't hesitate to leave him behind a tree while she snuck around to counter attack. The bandit and Manni's mother fought for only a couple exchanges before the bandit used a fake to get around her and charge the bridge builder. Snapping out of his shock Manni tossed his blade catching the man's knees and cutting clean through both legs.

Once the mission was over the boy became fascinated with the bandits power and his mother told him it was Chakra to the boys disbelief. Chakra is an everyday aspect of life for the people of Behbin but it was mainly used to jump higher, life heavy objects or enhance your own durability, very few people practice using it enough to know its true capabilities. And so Manni left home at age 13 to learn more about Chakra. At first he didn't go far and simply climbed to the top of Behbin to speak to the Sage(the chief). Climbing to the top was a difficult task and multiple breaks would be needed because of the giant insects and harpies that live in the parts of the side ways forest that people hadn't taken over. By fighting, having to remain vigilant and climbing Manni became stronger and eventually made it to the top of the mountain with ripped defined muscles.

Upon reaching the top of Behbin Manni arrived at the Sage's tower, a 5 story white clay brick tower with a circular dome roof. He enter the building and begged for the Sage to train him in the use of chakra. The Sage replied by asking the boy if he could use chakra to which the boy said yes and so the sage asked him to jump as high as he could. Manni stood confidently before bending his legs and jumping 6 feet into the air straight up not even touching the ceiling. The Sage closed his eyes before telling the boy he could not master chakra if that was the best results he could produce. At first he felt defeated, Manni had done all that work just to be declined, but he couldn't convince himself to give up and so he began jumping. He would spend hours focusing on his chakra in his feet and the spring up until eventually he was able to reach 5 meters. Manni got the Sage to look at the heights he had reached and with a smile the Sage replied "we may begin your training".

His first lesson was learning to walk on trees upside down either by nature changing his chakra into sharp claws or by learning to merge and disconnect his chakra to that of the tree. He mastered the former of the 2 techniques in just 3 days, showing his ability to learn fast but also that he had an easier time hardening his chakra than opening it up to another. For his next task the Sage told him to travel to the bottom of the mountain and walk all the way back up only using his chakra and he was only to rest on the trees to sleep or when he ran out. The trip back up took longer then last time unexpectedly to the boy but even holding his change in chakra nature for more then 10 minutes proved difficult. When he wasn't climbing Manni was meditating and honing his chakra.

After 3 weeks of climbing Manni finally made it to the top where he was welcomed by a large feast. 2 years went by in what seemed like a flash, but Manni had been training with the sage the entire time. He had learned how to harden his chakra into a sharp and durable claw as well as increase its speed until his chakra was like whipping lightning. The boy had became 15 but he felt like a man now that he had power, the only thing left was to test it. Manni left Behbin to find stronger opponents and learn more magics and skills.

It would probably be best to begin in the Winter Festival event, or in one of the shops (Frogissimo's has been active lately).
