Why May is Important

Post by Brandon » Fri May 04, 2018 9:51 am

It seems like every month of the year is some kind of awareness for some kind of cancer or illness, and May is no different, however, this month hits close to home, seeing as I am afflicted.
May is National Mental Health Awareness month. In this month, me, and millions of others with similar illnesses bring awareness to our conditions.
I have a simple request.
Throughout the month, if you support the illness, change your avatar to a green ribbon.
I will be doing the same, and hope to see a lot of green ribbons this month.

Also, if you are afflicted, feel free to name your conditions, as I will do now.

Psychosis, Major Depressive Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder II, Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

I have never actually been diagnosed with a mental health issue, even though I think it is highly likely I do have one, but a lot of people in my family have autism (which can lead to mental illnesses) and my uncle also has ADD and aspergers (I think) and I know a lot of people who suffer things like depression and anxiety
Apologies to those I RP with. My phone has stopped working, so until I get a new one it will be quite difficult to post as frequently as I usually do. I'm extremely sorry but I hope to get a new one as soon as possible so I can get back to role play with you all properly.

What effects me most is depression.

Thank you for bringing awareness to the forum
