Word counter

Post by Snake Eyes » Sat Nov 04, 2017 9:25 am

This is a feature I've seen on most other sites I write on. Though I know very little when it comes to coding. I imagine it is not difficult to implement.

Since posts are harder to rack up, a fact that goes double for people who write long ones, having a word count would make it easier to work up to milestones - and we know how important the sense of progress is to encourage not only writing, but pretty much any action that one can improve.

Don't know, I just think it would be a nice little addition.

That's a great idea. While I don't see it being implemented for this site, I'll definitely suggest it for the new forum.
Alone she drifts from ancient mists
Nary a candle, nary a wish
But in the wont of wandering paths
Through wooded knolls, and windworn crags
She seeks a face she thought as friend
But now -- she thinks as judgement's end

B's been working on a new forum system since August. It was first announced in the Wipe to End All Wipes thread.
