"Akemi? Are you okay? You look uncomfortable," Suzuki said softly. Of course the bubbly girl thought it was stomach trouble.

No, Akemi thought. I am. I am, she wanted to reply.

Her fingers were starting to go numb, but she dared not leave them free on her desk. After mulling it over, Akemi decided that feigning nausea wouldn't be such a bad idea. By ignoring the other students while they were distracted by the teacher, she'd been able to focus her Will back to a manageable level. Escaping under the guise of visiting the nurse would be a safe way to-

"The nurse might have some-"

Suzuki's palm was almost on top of Akemi's shoulder. Before it could land, Akemi's instinct for dodging took over. She twisted suddenly, yanking a puffy red hand from under her thigh and coiling it away. Suzuki's expression broke, then turned away.

"Suzuki.."

Before Akemi could apologize - as if she'd even know how - a small dark form passed by her desk, leaving behind a small wrapped candy. It left one for Suzuki, too. Akemi unwrapped it slowly.. the blood flowing through her hands again like angry needles. It was bright yellow and had a perfect round shape, save for one chipped edge. She popped it in her mouth. Lemon. She enjoyed lemon.

Maybe it was the solemn feeling that overcame her, or the buzz of confusion and conversation from her classmates, but Akemi didn't need to find a reason for fleeing anymore. At least for a moment. Then, another classmate made a pass by her desk. She was quiet and annoyed until she dropped off her piece of candy at Rocko's desk. Akemi waited for whatever might happen next, the tart lemon taste of her candy starting to dry out her tongue.

Shun slowly awoke to the sound of yelling playing back in his recorder, he lifted his head and started to slowly look around the room. Before he could finish a complete pass he saw some candies sitting on his desk. He had no idea why he got two, but between the yelling guy and the teacher having played back already he knew who gave it to him. As he put them both into his mouth he glanced at the teacher and mumbled, "thanks." before laying back down. The cause for him being awoke was no longer a concern, he got something to help supplement the lost energy for waking in the first place.

Before his mind could totally fall asleep he remembered the question the teacher asked after handing out the candies. Shun didn't even bother thinking about it again after that, the reason did not matter what did is he got some.

Rocko was seeing red. He could hear his pulse in his ears. His heart in his throat. He could even hear his muscles gnarling up in his chest. Then, from the side, someone stormed towards him. He heard a CLACK as this girl slammed down a candy. He barely heard the short "There" that shot from her mouth. Rocko stared at her. The girl who almost threw a pen at Ghost Lady?

"There?" What's that supposed to mean? Was this tribute? Was she surrendering her reward to him?

No. That wasn't it at all. Her face said otherwise. She was...mocking him.

Rocko swiped the candy into his thick, fleshy hand. The flesh pulsing and growing.

"You...You think this is funny? You think I need your charity? Do I look like a charity?"

Once again, he was out of questions, but his throat kept forcing out words. The flesh on his hand grew until his fingers were indistinguishable from each other. There was a crunch, followed by another. He opened his tangled hand and let the broken candy crumbs fall to the floor. He squeezed his fist and rose it up. He bared his teeth. A volcano ready to blow.

"You want me to give you some fuckin' candy? Early lunch, Pen Girl!"

"You want me to give you some fuckin' candy? Early lunch, Pen Girl!"

Pen Girl?

The hangry boy's hand had become amalgamated into a veiny fleshy lump... If she had to be honest, his quirk alone is horrifying to look at in the most grotesque sense where you just couldn't look away, and that was when it clicked that he meant to do her harm. A faint flash of red shone behind Yuri's sunglasses as she activated her quirk on the equally red-faced boy's hand. Yuri stood her ground and made no move to dodge or block as his fist passed through her.

"Satisfied?"

Bou

"Nakurama."

Her voice, little more than a whisper and across the classroom, would have fallen on deaf ears. Instead of speaking again, she merely rose a poised hand. She didn't react when he cocked his arm back, nor when he activated his quirk, nor when the flung fist seemed to pass through Amano's body as if she weren't even there.

Amano has quick reflexes, and Nakurama is brash, quick to misinterpret the consequences of his actions.

She had to do something, though. She couldn't sit back and watch her students fight each other. Sighing, she snapped her fingers twice in rapid succession. The air behind Amano and Nakurama imploded with a deafening crack, tugging the two students backwards in the wake.

"Nakurama, I will not have you attacking other students outside of sanctioned activities," she chastised, tone still that level calm from before. Her hand reached into the paper bag on her desk and pulled out another piece of candy. Fingers splayed, she held it out in front of her, a tempting treat for anyone fast enough to snatch. "However, if you truly think you deserve another piece, feel free to take this one."

The teacher's hand was lithe and pale like porcelain, the wrapped candy perched atop it like a teacup on a saucer. It looked red. Akemi guessed it was cherry, or maybe pomegranate. The bulbous growths on Rocko's arms had the same shade, too. Akemi gulped. The last of her candy had dissolved, and the tarty sting of the last swallow left her throat feeling bitter.

She could see the seething anger in Rocko. She could feel his defiance. It was starting to remind her of the practical exam.. maybe that's why she spoke up.

"K-Keito," she interjected. "Maybe you should sit, y'know?"

Rocko nearly fell over. He didn't expect Pen Girl to turn...ghost? How many goddamn ghosts were there? Was this school haunted? His fist went through her and the momentum almost threw him forward. He grunted and rose his fist again.

He heard a faint voice in the front of the class, but he ignored it. He rose his fist again, his mind trying to figure this out. How can he serve up a knuckle sandwich if she could just...let it go through her. He wasn't in the mood for riddles. His pride had been speared.

"Nakurama," the voice said again, this time louder.

Rocko realized it was Ghost Lady. He let his fist fall slightly. Finally, it clicked in his rabid, high protein diet fueled brain. Ghost Lady was the teacher.

She continued, "If you truly think you deserve another piece, feel free to take this one."

Rocko glanced to the faces staring at him. A teacher was challenging him to a fight? What kind of weird, haunted school was this? Of course he had been kicked out of schools before for fighting teachers, that goes without saying. But his street wisdom and experience fighting members of street gangs was sounding alarms. Was this a trap? Were the other kids in on it? Were they going to jump him as soon as he attacked? What was her quirk again?

Once again, out of questions, Rocko grinned. Strategy was for nerds. If you're strong enough, you don't need it.

"K-Keito," someone near him said "Maybe you should sit, y'know?"

It was Chemistry. He wasn't in the mood to chat with her.. His eyes blasted back to Ghost Lady.

"You want it? You got it, sister!"

Rocko took one step on the desk. He ordered his leg muscles to multiply. He turned his fist into a sledgehammer of twisted flesh. He launched himself forward, jacking his arm back. A chance to clock a teacher? He couldn't be happier.

Bou

It happened in an instant. One moment, Keito was leaping from his desk, arm cocked back to deliver what was certain to be an impressive punch. Bou watched him with that same impassive stare. No motion. No tells.

Snap. Pop!

Motion augmented by a small vacuum formed at her side, Bou turned sideways, the strike just missing her by inches. Simultaneously, she rose one curled hand next to the boy's face. Her other hand remained behind, palm embracing the small candy, ready to snap again.

Snap. CRACK!

A larger void, this time formed directly in front of her curved hand and collapsed within the same microsecond. Bou's arm jolted under the backlash, her hand directing most of the force - and the noise - into Keito's head. Loud as an anti-materiel rifle, strong as a punch of a strongman, with an afterbreeze that sent papers, pens, and even small books flying from desks. A watchful eye would notice one of the classroom's windows were now cracked, the sound of it breaking masked by the blast.

Bou put the candy back in the bag.

Rocko didn't know what happened in the half second between him jumping at Ghost Lady and laying on his back on the floor. Through blurred and shifting vision, he could see student's lips moving, but only heard a low pitch buzz. Every thought was met with a jab of pain that shot through his head. With shaking and normal sized arms he managed to sit up to his elbows. He was seeing three of Ghost Lady, and he saw her put three candies back in the bags.

"Ay..." His voice trembling more than he thought it would. "I'm not done with you, yet..."

A pang of nausea hit his stomach like an anvil in a cartoon. No...keep it down...don't dare waste good eggs and bacon.

"I got you...right where I want you, lady...I've fought...bigger..."

But not someone who could make the inside of his head explode. He thought for a moment, trying to remember if any of his other concussions were this bad. Nope. He smiled.

"You think you can beat me with a little concussion? Lemme tell you something..."

The world turned dark and Rocko's head fell to the floor with a thump.

Akiyama Miki | Classroom | Is this still class?

Hearing the sharp and quick crackles in the air, Miki's face blinked with surprise. Nakurama's yells were loud, but the sounds was not something Miki expected in the lesson led by the quiet Bou-sensei. Leaning a bit over downwards on the left side of her desk, she looked over on the floor at where Nakurama-kun had stopped mumbling something.

Arching an eyebrow mildly, she turned towards the black-haired girl that was sitting in front of her. She was the same one that had given her piece of candy to Nakurama. "Hm...Is he ok?" Miki asked with a slight frown on her face. Instead of walking over though, she had first picked up her notebook and pens that were dropped on the floor. Even though she was startled earlier, Miki wasn't shaken and perhaps she might have looked a little too calm about the situation.
