[1x1](LightWitch) You and Me

Post by Miro-chan » Thu Nov 16, 2017 10:04 pm

The morning's sun had risen over the mountains far from a broken down city, it's light slowly cascaded down onto the crumbled buildings and the few skyscrapers that had managed to stay upright, or were slightly tilted, by the bombings that had occurred during the outbreak. Inside one of the few rooms, which had not been broken down, or blocked off, within an old apartment building, a pair of old, worn, brown leather boots walked across the dirty carpeted flooring. Some of the carpet had either been burned, molded, or torn off at one point and the oak wooded flooring showed from beneath it. The old floor creaked as the pair of boots walked over it, making their way over to the closest wall, where the remnants of a small kitchen had been placed inside the room. The kitchen was attached to the side of the bedroom, its white, dirty tiles broken from intruding vegetation, and the wooden pantries weren't even close to being half full.

A sniff resounded through the empty air and a man had moved to open each cabinet, and he had found only a few, canned food items as well as a few pics of cloth. He the moved to the old fridge, pulled its doors open, and he cpuld almost imagine the feeling of the cool, frigid air blowimg into his face as he did so. His bright blue eyes blinked as he bent down ever so slightly to look in the bottom half, having found nothing but old, molded boxes of food in the freezer half. Arthur had done scavenging the entire time he's been living in the new, merciless world that had been created by the Ophie outbreak a few years ago. A small sigh of frustration came from him as he straightened back upwards, shut the doors, and he gazed over at the young woman he had met only a month prior.

He still wondered why he had allowed her to stick with him, and for so long at that. At first, Arthur had just decided to escort her to a different colony, one that was nearby where he had first encountered Aurelia, and then he would have left and traveled back to the colony he had been staying in for two years. He had made a life as a smuggler and trader for that small bit of the city, traveled to different places, and protected his only friend, Sasha. She had been a year older than he when they were forced to depart, all because she had been bitten by one of the infected, and she had decided to die her own way; by a group of soldiers. The very ones that protected the city he had lived in. It had been only a few days before he had met Aurelia.

The old man shook his head some. Forget that shit. Even if you had saved Sasha, she still would've changed in less than an hour. You couldn't do anything to change it.

Arthur never talked about Sasha. He didn't want to, either. It was too hard for him.

He rubbed a hand down his face as he made his way back over to the old, broken counter and he unzipped his dark brown backpack. He's been able to keep the straps together by either sewing or ducttaping them together and he was still surprised that he hadnt thrown it away yet. Arthur guessed he would have to find a new one sometime and soon because it looked like the bottom was about to give out. Reaching for one of the canned foods, it was canned peaches, he began to place them inside his backpack and he left a few for the young woman to put in her own backpack. He knew she must've been hungry since they hadn't been able to eat in a few days.

Aurelia hadn't expected for any of this to happen, not in her wildest dreams, and yet she had some pretty wild dreams in the past. She could still hear the screaming at times when she went to pull the trigger on any zombies, and yet she only had to shoot to make it stop once it happened. She had on the same outfit from when she was still a normal girl, and while it had seen some wear and tear, she knew that it would be hard to change out of it since it was rare that they found any new clothes. Nothing was like it was, and yet the young woman couldn't help it when she felt herself harden to this new reality. The same reality that made Kacey, her baby sister that never stood a chance alone die, and caused her to be separated from her younger brothers. Aura was brought back to reality once she heard the fridge shut, and then she remembered that Arthur was still with her despite her quietness.

Arthur was someone she only meant to give food to, and then he had offered to get her to the settlement where she last heard her brothers Andrew and Aaron were, but she felt better having someone around to watch her back in case something went down. He still didn't know that she had lost her sister soon after they found some kind of shelter, but she only told him that she was looking for some people instead of elaborating that those she was looking for were her surviving siblings. It was safer to assume that her parents were dead, and that her father had put up a fight while her mother's desire to have her clothes remain clean likely got her killed and/or infected. She couldn't risk him knowing that she had failed to look out for her family, but she had to find out if her brothers were alive no matter what. They stopped to restock on food for the first time in days, but there was barely anything there to eat. Aura then stood up slowly from where she was sitting, eager to sit for a bit since the place was sound enough to hold them with few issues, and she went to put some food in her backpack while keeping her .22 in her hand.

"We should probably eat soon, though it's going to make us have to ration what we have since there's barely any food here. All I can really say is that we're safe for right now, though I'm not sure how long that's going to last." It was always like this when they found a place that they could stay at, and from her own experience, they likely had a few days to stay here before something likely went down and caused them to leave. This was the first time that someone outside of her family and classmates spent any extended amount of time with her, and while Aurelia had her doubts at first, Arthur was proving to be trustworthy. She was worried about her brothers being either alive or safe, but there were two she hadn't heard anything about since the separation: Alexander and Adan, her youngest brothers. A part of her wanted to believe that they had either turned or died, but she still had hope that she'd see those four again before she died. She didn't like that this was what the world came to, but if she had to be honest, this place could've been decent before the End, but then her stomach decided to be vocal about it being empty. Food, I have to eat...even if Arthur doesn't think it's a good idea to. Besides, I need to have energy to run when I have to, and I know Arthur does to. Aura looked over at her older companion with her mismatched eyes, and in the dim light, her eyes were polar opposites with how she felt about not only the situation, but Arthur as well.

Arthur had been looking out the window as he had out his backpack on. They would need to go soon of they wanted to actually find anything of use out in the city. When he heard Aurelia speak, he returned his attention to her. A thoughtful expression came to his face and he drowned a bit. Yes, they would definitely need to eat... With a deep sigh, he itched his head a bit as he nodded.

"Yeah... Go ahead and eat something. We just need to head out soon," he answered. That's how he talked most of the time-- short and to the point. Arthur usually didn't like talking to others, but he found that he did enjoy the company at times.

Arthur then knelt down, slung his backpack off his shoulders and set it down in front of him. He unzipped it yet again, searched through its many contents, (a few boxes of handgun ammo, scissors, a pack of nails, cloth, and one bottle half full of alcohol [besides the few food items he had found]) and he finally pulled out the protein bar. It was as long as his hand and it's wrapper was a fades green in colour. The large, faded yellow words were plastered on the front of it; "Energy Crunch!" He had decided to read the back when he had first found it, just for the hell of it, and found it was made of oats, nuts, honey, and dark chocolate. Blinking, he zipped his old pack up and placed it back on his shoulders. He then stood from his spot, made his way to the makeshift door, and tore the wrapper in two.

His mouth practically watered as he gazed down at the protein snack and he waited a few minutes to check for any mold before he finally bit into it. Loud crunches could be heard with each bite he took and it only took him a moment to finish the small portion of breakfast. He placed the wrapper in his pocket and turned to Aurelia to see if she had finsihed and was ready to go.

Aurelia took that moment to sit down on the floor before rummaging around in her bag for something that could be opened easily without having to use Andrew's switchblade, and all that she found was a few protein bars that she remembered eating before everything went down. They were clearly worn to the extent that the lettering had become blurred, and once she opened them, she checked for mold before managing the quietest bites for a woman so hungry. She ate fast, taking careful bites, and it was weird how she had found honey before and still managed to keep it around without the glass breaking. By the time she finished, Arthur had been ready to go as usual for their routine. I will find them, even if it means risking my life and sanity to do so. Her face took on a serious expression when that thought crossed her mind, but she wanted desperately to find the only blood family she had left. Aura got up quickly, but before she told him she was ready, she took a bit of the honey and ate some for good luck after every meal.

"I'm ready Arthur, let's go."

With a swift motion, Aurelia grabbed her .22 before loading the magazine to max and slipping it securely into the gun, but the gun was meant to be a last resort. She usually just used anything that could be considered a pole, and she had one that around four feet in length with a diameter of around two inches while being made from ebony, and it was something she had with her since she found it lying around for the taking. Luckily her pole was her weapon of choice for protecting herself without making a lot of unnecessary noise, and she was careful enough to fit her rifle into her backpack (it's a youth rifle, and trust me when I say they're small and lightweight) before grabbing the pole in her hands. "Aside from food, we need to find more ammo. I spotted the remains of a gun store last night, and if we're lucky, there's still something of value in there if we decide to head there first, but where do you want to go first?" She was eager to get going since he was already set to go, and she was used to it despite it being a month since they met, but she was closer to finding Andrew and Aaron as a result. Yet could she trust him to help her with finding them, or was that too much of a risk for her? Aura waited for her cue to break down the makeshift door, and once it came, she broke it down with a certain grace that came with being childlike in appearance before waiting for Arthur to lead the way.

Once his ears heard that she was ready to go, Arthur adjusted the straps of his dark green backpack and nodded as he turned to exit the door. His blue orbs watched as Aurelia swiftly and efficiently moved the old wooden door that they had created as the only exit and entrance for their little hideaway. After the young woman had moved out of the way, Arthur briskly walked past her with fastened steps.

"Yeah. We do. I know a few gun shops, but..." He had started, but trailed off as he stopped a moment in thought. Should he really risk going further in the city? The last time he had been there, there had been three groups of poeple patrolling the area, as well as infected. If things turned bad, he could just lead them both down into the sewers. That would at least get them away from the hunters (he had named the survivors who killed people for the hell of it when he was a bit younger "hunters"), but it could possibly lead them down into a swarm of hungry infected. He pursed his together s moment and glanced at Aurelia a few times and finally let out a sigh as he closed his eyes a minute. Reopening them, he slightly turned to her, "We just have to be careful and not get our heads shot off."

Outside the makeshift door was the old, grey and blue hallway of the apartment building and as Arthur quickly moved down the hallway, he past by many closed doors to other rooms. When they had first arrived at the apartment building, Arthur had tried to burst or break the doors open, however he found that most of them had been blocked by a shitload of furniture or other large things, such as suitcases. There were all kinds of debris, old torn clothing, and open suitcases screen about the hallway. At the end of it, Arthur turned right and quickly rushed down the wooden steps. Two flights of stairs and the two would have ended up in the small lobby. There were still a few, plush red chairs around the room, thought three tables had been turned over and Arthur didn't really care to put them back up straight. Two out of the three were broken anyway.

Pulling out his handgun from beneath his belt, he stepped outside the door and held a hand up for his younger companion to wait to come out until the coat was clear. When nobody, and no infected jumped out at him, Arthyr turned to her.

"It's safe for now. Let's get a move on."

With that, he turned back around and began to jog down the street, easily dodging cars, old waste bens, and blue mail boxes. The sun had moved a bit more to the right in the sky and when Arthur was sure they had gotten close to the gun shop, he slowed his pace down to a walk. He kept himself on high alert and made sure to look around, everywhere, outside, down the streets, and even up in the windows of the surrounding buildings. He finally decided to walk inside the first gun shop and kept his gun close to his chest as he slowly inched inside. It was a bit dark inside, but not bad enough that he would have to use a flash light. That didn't mean that nothing could pop up out of the blue, though. When he finally checked around the main room, behind the counter with a broken cash register, and the back room, he allowed his defenses to go down. Only a little.

"Alright," he began as he turned to her. "I think we are good to look around here for now. After we get whatever we need, I'm gonna check and see if the other gun shop down the next block is safe to enter."

Arthur then put his gun away as he had turned around and walked to a random shelf. He ended up finding six rounds for his handgun in the only box that was there. Quickly taking out one of the boxes of handgun ammo from his backpack, he tilted his hand so the copper rounds slid inside with ease. He stuffed the box back inside his pack and moved to look at another shelf. He bent down with a grunt and turned on his flashlight to look underneath the two empty shelves. Be ended up finding one shotgun round. He might need it later on, if he managed to find a shotgun. Standing back up, he walked to the back room and didmt find much if anything besides old folders and papers. His expression showed a bit if disspointment as he exited the back room. Maybe Aurelia had found more than he did.

Aurelia had to jog to keep up with Arthur while they made their way to one of the gun shops, and that wasn't something that made her uneasy. She couldn't make sure if a place was truly safe, yet she was met with a nearly barren store that was clearly crumbling in a few places. With a small smile, she began to search around the place as quietly as she could, and the result was less than hopeful. The only things she found were empty .45 and .308 cases, bullet holes, illegible writing in blood (at least she assumed it was writing), and she was about to give up when she found extra ammo boxes that somehow contained enough to fill Arthur's magazine. She was about to call for him when she heard him walk in her direction, and she was inspecting the scene she noticed earlier when he found her. "We just barely missed a group, and from the way it looks now, we have to move now in case zombies are on their way here." Aura was very worried about the body being any of her brothers, but it wasn't, and that didn't help considering the situation that they had unknowingly walked into.

"I found these, and they're your gun's caliber. You're going to need them." It wasn't supposed to come out sarcastic, yet somehow that managed to slip out of Aurelia's mouth that way, and she hit the wall in frustration as a result of that. It wasn't like her to get frustrated with her tone before now, and she took a deep breath before locking her mismatched eyes with his. "Let's go Arthur. Now." Before he could react, she dropped the bullets into his hand and took off outside, climbing onto the nearest pile of rubble that could serve as a possible hideout, and peeked over the top before catching sight of one human acting as a sort of watchman. She ducked before they could see her, and she gave him the signal for humans by crossing her fingers. "I saw one acting as a watchman, which means there's at least two others with them." She made sure to glance up to keep an eye on any changes with the humans at another store, and she had a bad feeling about the humans being nearby. Yet Aura needed information, and she wanted to know if they knew where her brothers were.

"James, I think there's something nearby." A fiery haired woman shouted as she watched the place that somewhat resembled a general store, and she knew that it wasn't a zombie because she wasn't being charged. "So what Nessa? Are we in more danger than we already are?" Someone, presumably James, commented sarcastically while grabbing a can of what could possibly be chili from before moving closer to the entrance to talk to her better. "It's possible that we are, but didn't those guys we saved a week ago say that they were looking for a girl?" The fact that she brought up two guys who they sent towards their compound a week ago was unusual, especially considering that they barely even learned their names beforehand. "Don't tell me..." "There's a girl spying on us, and from what I can see of her face, she matches the description the older one gave for her." James swore loudly under his breath, and he knocked on the shelves before calling for the other guys. "Looks like we have to make a fucking rescue and escort mission in case Ronnie and Drew's person of interest is spying on us. Come on guys, let's go!" James, Nessa, and four other people then ran out of the store, and straight for the area that the mystery girl was spotted at.

"Arthur, we're outnumbered. They may be Knights, or Patriots, or loners, but let's get out of here in case they're hostile!"

The old man had turned to her when he had heard muffled voices coming from further down the street. He gripped the bullets in his hand and nodded at her in thanks. His body was soon in a couch as he waited to follow after her and he watched as his young companion quickly dashed across the street and climbed some pile of rubble and debris. He mentally thanked God for letting him be stuck with a woman who at least knew what she was doing. He peeked behind the side of the wall from his spot, still inside the gun shop. His face serious with furrowed brows, he braced himself for a moment bwfore he ran just as quickly across the street and ducked behind the near the fallen debris. Glancing up at Aurelia, catching her hand signal for humans, before glancing over the side of the wall to spot at least two of the hunters walking down the street. The man slowly crept his way up the debris and crouched down beside Aurelias. After glancing down at the scenery below, he then turned his attention to her and listened to her speak.

His words came out in small breaths from the running he had done and he nodded. A watchman and two others... His brain wracked for an escaped plan. She could be right; there could be more with them. Just as he had opened his mouth to speak, the people down below began to speak. He stayed silent as he listened to the hunters' conversation and his brows furrowed a little more together. His eyes had hardened as he peeked over the side and spotted them near the gun shop. There were people lookimg for Aurelia? Why did they want her? He blinked as he thought more on this new information. Did she have some bad past that he didn't know of? His blue orbs looked down at her. Well, he certainly had a past that nobody could be proud of, but he hadn't told her anything yet.

His body tensed up ever so slightly when he heard their suspicions of where the girl could be hiding. That meamt that they knew where he and Aurelia were. He made sure to barely peeked over a large piece of concrete and he counted six. There's only six of 'em. I could take half and she could if we attack at a good pace and sneak around-- Aurelia's panicked tone of voice cut his thought short. Well, he couldn't always kill every one of those bastards... He looked at her and right as he heard a rushed wave approaching footsteps, Arthur gripped her upper arm and pulled her behind him as he ran down to the other side of the broken building and ducked the two of them behind two cars mashed together.

"Alright. I'll find us a way outta here..." He muttered more to himself than the young woman as he began to frantically look around. The tunnel down into the subway, which led to the sewers, was still a ways off in one direction and the apartment was in the other direction. They were stuck in the middle of their two possible destinations.

Figure out which road we are on... Then where i need to turn...

After a few seconds, Arthur finally spotted a knocked over street sign, which had faded white letters, "Rolland Street." Well. Seemed like they were much closer to the subway than he thought. The man glanced around before suddenly ducking down back behind the turned over car he was behind. There was a man who had just walked from their previous hiding spot, revolver in hand. He had a chocolate skin colour, brown eyes with dark bags underneath them, and a pair of plump dark red lips that were shut together in a straight line. He had on a faded black tabogan, a dark grey scarf thrown around his neck, a dark green long sleeved shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees, and a pair of dirty white tennis shoes.

Arthur had started to slowly back up towards another dark blue, rusted car behind them and as he had turned to his side, he inwardly panicked a moment when another man walked on their other side. He quickly made his back towards the car he had been hiding behind beforehand. They were corned then. Each car still had enough room between them and the concrete wall for the two to crouch and sneak behind... If they didn't get caught by the other goon on the opposite side.
Quickly turning to face her, Arthur stuffed his gun in between his jeans and belt before picked up a large rock.

His expression had changed to express his thoughts; The intent to kill. It was an angry, or a frustrated look. Just one that showed he was willing to do whatever it took to keep them safe. He pointed one of his fingers at her and then to the goon to their right before he turned and slowly began to sneak behind the back of the car. He stayed put where he hid as he watched the first man slowly creep to the left side of the car he hid behind and glanced between the man and Aurelia's progress. Arthur wasn't entirely sure if she would even risk an attack. If she didn't, then he would have to work quickly to put the two down. Maybe he could use onw of the men as a hostage.

Aurelia hadn't expected to have the people come at her, and while she did make it away from the pile, it was obvious that she had no idea that the group was after her, much less because some guys had been looking for her as well. She could tell that they were cornered, and from the way they were moving, the group had every intention of finding her, but why? She got herself close to Arthur, and then it went silent. Not a single thing could be heard, and then the guy grabbed her and started yanking her backwards. Upon instinct, she swung back at the guy with the intent to injure, but the guy anticipated it and evaded her attacks. "Drew was right about you being a fighter, and you're coming with us." She slammed the rod down onto his foot, but he didn't flinch, which meant steel toe boots, and then she made the realization that the guy said Drew. Drew... Andrew! Aura then flung her head back, and once the guy dropped her, the rest of the group then surrounded the duo as she pointed the pole in a defensive stance.

"How do you know Andrew?" Her voice was harsh, and from the look on her face, Andrew was someone that she had a connection with from the past. "Drew was traveling with another guy, Ronnie, and they were looking for this girl who matches your description." Aaron... Aurelia was baffled, and while she guessed that they had been traveling together for some time, this was the confirmation she needed. "They were adamant about searching for you, and you three look too similar to be friends." Why were they focused on her, and did they guess that they were her brothers now that they saw her? After giving Arthur a look of defeat, she knew that it was time to tell who she was looking for the moment they met, and that meant this group was going to learn about her search for her family. "They're my younger brothers, and I have two more still out there. If you want me to come with you, then who are you guys, and who are you affiliated with?" The redhead, who Arthur knew to be Nessa, sighed before holstering her gun and signaled for her companions to do the same. Aura wouldn't let her guard down, and she encouraged him to do the same as she gazed at everyone who was surrounding the two of them.

"I'm Vanessa, and the people you see with me are James, Israel, Tory, Faith, and Xenia. I didn't realize that those guys were looking for family, and I wish they were here to see you..." Vanessa wanted to learn their names, and her emerald eyes showed compassion that proved that they weren't from the Knights. The guy that was spotted by their former hiding spot, Israel, and he was shifting too much for Aurelia to consider trusting him. "Stop shifting Israel, you're not fucking helping with this at all." That was when she decided to speak up once more. "You never told us who you were affiliated with." James sighed, pinching his skin between his eyes before looking at her despite his bloody nose. "We're with the Patriots, and you should know that the only one of us who had no firsthand experience with active duty in this supply run is Xenia, but she was talking to a recruiter before shit went down." It was obvious that they went with the Patriots for protection, and it was bad enough that they had been last seen by these guys for an unknown amount of time. "I know they made it to the compound, and we can take you there, but not him." They were going to just abandon Arthur to survive on his own once more? They obviously had no idea what they were up for since they barely knew Aura, or her experience with him.

"I'm not going with you unless Arthur comes with me, and I'm not changing my mind about that." Her loyalty was admirable, but why was she choosing now to refuse to leave him?

Arthur had quickly stood upwards from his crouched position to grab the man who had been to his left and slammed the rock into his face. The man had stumbled backwards as he yelped a pained noise and covered his nose and upper lip. Arthur had grabbed the man again, lifted the rock back upwards to beat the life from him, all the while a snarl and a type of cold hatred burned from his blue eyes. However he stopped when he heard Aurelia being grabbed and pulled away from him. The old survivor then pushed the man on the ground and ended up dropping the rock from his hand as he moved to grab the young woman from the enemy's grasp. However, soon after something had hit him hard on the side of his head and he fell to his knees with his own loud noise of pain. He didn't even lift a hand to feel the side of his face, blood having soon poured from it and the sharp, pulling pain. Instead, that had only made Arthur more angry and he spun around to catch the large, wooden two by four pole that his attacker had started to bring down onto his head for a second attack. It had been the same man he had beaten with a rock and when Arthur's body began to push upwards and bent the man backwards, the young lad's eyes widened and he frantically glanced to Arthur's right.

The more Arthur relentlessly pushed, the more his throat began to growl and his determination increased ten fold when his ears heard Aurelia fighting off one of the other men behind him. The old man had his sights set on the man he was glaring at. He would kill him first and then the one who was possibly harming his Aurelia. He had just yanked the two by four from the other's hand, kicked him down to the ground, and was about to bash his brains in before another set of fast approaching footsteps came up from behind him. His head and face were soon hit with the butt of a large gun and Arthur was roughly shoved to the concrete ground, landing on his side with a grunt. He had glanced at Aurelia and then quickly flipped onto his back as he pulled his own handgun out. It was for naught because Arthur's bloody face was met with the barrel of the shotgun another man had aimed at him. Heavily breathing, Arthur's eyes moved around the crowd of people, his mouth closed so he could breathe through his bloody nose, and he slowly lowered the hand with his gun down onto the concrete ground below.

He finally tuned into the other's speaking around him, his thoughts of killing every single one of them slowed down and decreased in number. It wasn't long before his hairy, grey brows furrowed a bit and Arthur had slowly sat up to look at Aurelia in question.

Still a bit out if breath, the old man asked, "The hell are they talkin' about?" His eyes narrowed a bit as he gazed at her and he did a gesture with his hand as he asked another question, "Is there somethin' I need to know--That you're not tellin' me?"

As he listened to the young woman speak, Arthur looked away and turned his attention to the crowd that surrounded them. His eyes soon caught sight of somebody he actually recognized; Ness. She was somebody he hadnt seen for a long damn time. She still had red hair up in a ponytail and her voice was still as light as ever.

Well, I'll be damned... Ness is actually alive and well. Even workin' with the Patriots... Well, better to be with the Patriots than the Knights. He thought to himself as she ordered her men to lower their weapons. The one who had aimed the shotgun at him hesitated a moment as he locked eyes with Arthur's, obviously unconvinced that the older male wouldn't attack him. Arthur's gaze locked with the other's and he finally lowered his large gun, allowing Arthur to sit up a bit and then stand up.

Aurelia was looking for her brothers and Arthur had no idea about it. He guessed it was only fair that she kept secrets because Arthur knew he definitely did. He honsetly had way too many. When the man with the bloody nose spoke up, telling then that he would only escort Aurelia to their compound, and not Arthur, Arthur's head snapped over to him. His own brows shot up as he asked right before Aurelia spoke, "Excuse me?" His body had turned towards the man a bit and Arthur lifted his hand up, aimed a finger at the man and then at his young companion. "I am not going to just sit here and let you take her to some compound. Even if you forced me to stay, Is still follow you."

His blue orbs locked with Ness's and she had a look of understanding and defeat. She would surely know that he would follow them and get her back without fail. Since once he set his mind to it, he would follow through woth it.

(I can finally see better, and yet it takes more to focus since light sensitivity is a side effect of a scratched eye. It's healing better than expected, even if I was told by the eye doctor to apply the medicine just before bed so I wouldn't deal with struggling to see during the day.)

So Arthur and the girl were traveling together? That was...unexpected since Drew and Ronnie said that she was last seen alone, but it had been years since they last saw her, so it was understandable that things could change in the time that they spent apart. Vanessa sighed, and despite James mistrusting the older man, she knew him from before her time as a Patriot. He was a great person to have around, and while he did have a violent streak, he had to be provoked first before the fight turned violent. "What's your name?" She asked, and while she could tell the young woman was hesitant to reveal anything about herself, it was clear that she had no choice in the matter. "Aurelia, though those I'm close to call me either Aura or Lia. Besides, I'm not going with you unless Arthur comes with." Ness pinched the skin between her eyes with her thumb and index finger, and her decision was going to shock her companions despite knowing that the older man before them was someone they could trust.

"Arthur, you can come with, but one wrong move could mean serious trouble since we were expecting to find only Aura."

James was furious at the decision.

"Nessa! You can't be fucking serious right now! There's no way we're taking some old guy-" Next thing everyone knew, the small woman had not only swung her pole, but her aim was perfect. His face had been struck right at his nose, and it shattered just as blood started flowing from the wound that she left. "Respect her fucking decision, and by the way, you really should've been more careful about shooting off your shotgun. Now let's get moving." Israel smirked at the young woman's remark, and with a wave of his hand, the group began moving with the addition of the two people they now picked up. They swapped stories to pass the time while they scavenged for supplies, and it was becoming clear from how the two of them were reacting towards each other that they were closer than most people who were traveling together. By the time they were on their way back to the compound, it was appearing to be around sunset, and it was tense despite the new arrivals in their group playing nice for the most part. It was difficult to make sure that they were still considered non-threatening to them, and then they heard shouting as they finally reached the compound around nightfall.

Two men were anxiously waiting by the entrance of the Patriots, and while both had dark hair, one had a darker shade of blond hair whereas the other had raven hair, and they were known as the Silva brothers. It was a shock when they were born due to being twins, but there was no sign of multiple births in either side of the family until they were born. The elder twin, Andrew, was pacing while moving his switchblade between his hands, and the younger, Aaron, was running his fingers through his dirty blond locks as he awaited the group they asked to find Aurelia (though they hadn't mentioned her name at the time) to come back with any news. When they finally heard the commotion as the group came back, they knew right as they saw the woman with ice and earth colored eyes that they had found their surviving sister, but she wasn't the only person they found. There was an older guy, and they rushed to hug their sister at the same time despite now towering over her despite being younger than her. Aura hugged her brothers tightly, and it was clear now that the three of them were together that they were siblings, and they were close despite the time that they had spent apart.

"Drewbie, Ronnie, you're alive!" Aurelia's voice cracked due to the shock of finally seeing her oldest brothers alive, and yet she couldn't ask about Alexander and Adan yet. "We knew you could take care of yourself for as long as we could remember, but you picked someone up along the way. Who is he?" Andrew, or Drewbie as she had called him, was known to be blunt at times, and he didn't hesitate to let that show when it came to someone his sister had met. Granted, he had yet to reveal to her that he had an interest in men rather than women, but that was going to take a while since they had much to catch up on. Yet there was a hesitation once she started to speak, and that was to explain Arthur to them. How was she supposed to do that? "That's Arthur, we've been traveling together for about a month now, and we're...close." There was no other way to describe it, yet Aaron knew she was struggling to find the right word for the two of them. "They're about to serve dinner, but you two will have to talk to the leader about staying...if you want to." Aura looked to Arthur for an answer on that, but that was after she introduced him to her brothers, and they liked him for the most part despite Drew being upset that Tory had been injured in the fight with Arthur when they had first encountered them.
