Cairo smiled and nodded a little bit, pulling his plate a little closer to him. "Ah, well I do hope it tastes as good as it looks." he replied with a light tone. He wouldn't be offended if she didn't like it, but he obviously hoped she would. In a lot of ways he would feel bad if she didn't, left to silently scold himself on poor restaurant choice. However, everything happens for a reason and he firmly believed this was a way to get to know her more. He could already tell she wasn't an open book, closed off to most people. Of course, most Hunters seemed to be that way. He shoved aside these thoughts, not wanting to view her as a Hunter but as any other person. Thoughts on either of their work would only complicate things, at least he thought it might. He looked down at his plate before he picked up his fork to begin eating quietly.

Jasper snapped out of his daze the second he saw movement in the corner of his eyes, his gaze flickered towards the approaching waiter. He smiled faintly and dipped his head in both gratitude and acknowledgement. He turned his attention towards his salad, oddly relieved to have something to do. Salad was so rare for him, he couldn't even begin to recall the last time he had it. Tonight seemed like a decent opportunity to eat some again. You're trying too hard to distract yourself... he chided himself, his gaze shifted towards Marie quietly. "Looks delicious..." he commented light-heartedly, allowing a faint smirk to trail across his lips though it was forced.

(Yes. XD )

(Hmm no, not quite as much as Nikolai. Though close. XD )

Josephine waved her hand casually in Elias's direction "Hush now, I'm working on it." she replied smoothly. Her gaze lingered on the woman until finally her sobs were stifled, though tears continued to trail down her cheeks. "Much better deary..." Josephine cheered, offering her a bright smile. She pulled on the chains around the woman's wrists and led her towards the room. "Here we are..." she said, clearly relieved the woman decided to take the 'easy' route. How unfortunate it would've been had she had to go all the way into town again to fetch another meal. Josephine pulled the woman up beside the man, casting a small glance at Elias and offering a small nod. Finally the Bloodbournes could feed and continue to regain their strength, though they were no doubt looking much better than when they were first woken.

"I'm sure it will..."Loli muttered quietly, studying her meal for a moment longer before she picked up the fork laying on her napkin. It smelled quite wonderful as well, making her feel a little more hungry than she had. Funny wasn't it how food had a tendency to do that, make one hungry as they smelled it and/or tasted it. She supposed that was a purpose of food, one of many. After all, one could not go on long without it, they would quickly grow weak and die off eventually. Such morbid thoughts to think of in a time when she was meant to be enjoying herself, not that that was easy to do but again she had to try. Lightly shaking her head she used the fork to pick up a few pieces of the pasta and ragu, studying it a moment before she stuck it in her mouth. It was so warm, moist and...quite delicious. The chef had done a wonderful job mixing the spices and blending everything together. She felt even more hungry now though she wouldn't admit that aloud, taking a brief moment to simply enjoy the small bite of food before she swallowed it and glanced at Cairo. He would be waiting for her judgement, she didn't wish to torture him for too long. "It's quite good."

Marie smiled faintly, glad he found it to look appetizing though it wasn't even their main course. Most men she knew disliked salad now that she thought about it, it was a 'girly food,' so it was refreshing to see one who willingly ate them. Then again most Hunters probably ate salads for it was a great source of nutrients so surely he wasn't the only one. Of course she wasn't to be courted by most Hunters and...she wasn't sure where she was going with this thought process anymore. She shook her head and looked over the different dressings, picking a vinaigrette out of all of them. Vinaigrettes were nice and light on the stomach, not to mention delicious. Well in her opinion. It wasn't for everyone. "Well we shouldn't let these go to waste, please dig in." She said happily, her eyes shining brightly as she poured a bit of the dressing on her salad before picking up her fork.

[No proof! XD]

[Oh dear, I better pull back on Elias then. XD]

Elias rolled his eyes, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed in front of him as he waited for her to deal with the woman. Most would say threatening a victim would only make the situation worse, but he didn't think so. It was important to instill fear in them, to make sure they knew that they weren't their friends. Being nice would only give her false hope, and though it was fun to crush one's hope, he hated having to put on such a light and positive act. Honestly it was disgusting, he preferred this cold approach to things, it made life a whole lot easier. When the woman quieted down and Josephine spoke he glanced over at them, not at all pleased that she was still crying but at least she wasn't making so many annoying noises now. It really wore down on his ears. He sighed and stood up, motioning her to follow with his head before he opened the door and went inside. "Dinner has arrived." His voice was smooth, low, a smirk on his face as he searched Isabelle out and dragged the man over to her, presenting the 'meal' to her with a dip of his head.

Cairo waited until she took a bite before he took a small one for himself. He smiled pleasantly, as always he was impressed and thrilled by the meal. There was a reason it was his favorite restaurant. He looked up when Loli spoke and his eyes lit up, he beamed and nodded. "I'm glad you like it!" he replied, clearing his throat to soften his excitement. He laughed a little and looked away, continuing to take small bites of his meal. He felt a wave of relief wash over him although he didn't show it. He was happy she liked the meal though, it took a little weight off his shoulders. He looked up at her again and smiled softly. He wanted to say something more but no words would find their way to his lips and he decided to settle for silence for the time being.

Jasper gazed at the salad quietly for a moment, trying hard to stay focused but his thoughts kept wandering. He wasn't even sure what he was thinking about anymore. He chose a dressing at random though the name sounded familiar, drizzling a fair amount across the salad. He glanced at Marie and smiled a bit, unable to deny her happiness was a nice change in pace. There seemed to be little happiness in the lives of a Hunter, though he supposed they didn't think about it enough to notice. "Happily...." he responded politely and took a small bite of the salad. The moment the food reached his tongue he found himself hungrier than he originally thought. The salad tasted fresh and crisp, it was certainly among the best salad he had.

(Lol XD )

(No, no, I think he's quite alright. I don't think he could ever truly surpass Nikolai. XD )

Josephine trailed after Elias, almost dragging the woman behind her. The lady, although finally silent, was still reluctant to accept her fate which complicated things but only in the slightest. After all the lady was practically as light as a feather and wasn't much of a fighter, clearly. She entered the room just after Elias and strode towards Stefan, a slight eagerness to her step. She could only imagine the hunger the Bloodbournes must be feeling, especially with their meals within arms reach. "Sorry about that, complications." She apologized with a small wave of her hand, bringing the young lady forward.

Isabella's dark gaze shifted towards the door upon seeing subtle movement, a small smile slipped across her rosy lips. She slowly lowered her hands and turned to face Elias and the meal presented before her. Her eyes lingered on Elias first, happy to see him, before shifting towards the man. She glided forward and took a deep breath, flashing her fangs. "My my, you always out-do yourself, Elias. You are far too kind to me..." she said, her slender fingers curling under the man's chin though her gaze shifted towards Elias. She wished to speak with him further but that would have to wait until she's had her fill. The hunger was more irritating than anything and she thought it best to get it out of the way.

Loli didn't say anything, for though he hid it well she could tell he seemed happy that she liked the food he suggested. It was odd to her, she's never known anyone to be happy that she liked food let alone anything. She did suppose she was indifferent though, perhaps she's never really spoken aloud of how she liked something before. Being grateful was one thing, she always showed her gratitude, but liking something was entirely different and well she just didn't spend much time talking about anything to begin. Quiet in nature she just found no need to say more that what was necessary at any given time, so why would she praise something now? It couldn't be to please Cairo for she had no plans to further this relationship along, perhaps it was simply a part of the ploy to convince her mother that she was taking to her...suitor. Things were rather complicated, but truly nothing was wrong with giving praise to begin with and maybe she should do it a little more. Show the people of town that she was indeed like them, even if only by a little bit. After all she did willing praise the Hunters when they did well, she was far more comfortable with them than she was the average person however. They understood her more. "Well, let's not let this go to waste." She said quietly, taking another, thoughtful, bite of the pasta.

Marie ate her salad quietly, preferring to let one enjoy their meal in peace. There was no need for words now anyway, he seemed relaxed and the air was calm. From what she could tell anyway which wasn't much compared to a Hunter. Their senses far surpassed hers and she wondered if it was truly training that helped them get like that, or if thy were also born with something that made their senses stronger. Some were very clearly made for the life of a Hunter after all, even children. Maybe that was just one of her own silly thoughts, but she's always seen the people who become Hunters as special, strong. She however waved these thoughts away, reminding herself to relax as she ate more of her salad. Their stew would be here soon enough, she was quite looking forward to it.

[I think your bias is showing again. XD]

Stefan glanced at Josephine and the woman she had with her, a look of pain ever so briefly crossing his features. Feeding from humans was a part of who they were but that didn't mean he enjoyed it. He didn't actually like causing others pain though he did well to hide it while in the midst of such situations. Much like an actor he breezed through existence very easily, no on being any the wiser, and only a few have ever seen his most vulnerable side. His dark gaze returned to Josephine as he smiled faintly, appreciatively. She did so much for him, back then and even now, he felt he did not deserve it. "No need to apologize dear Josephine..."

Elias dipped his head and released the man, stepping back to give Isabella her space. Though he knew her well enough to know she wasn't shy when it came to feeding, it was more out of respect that he gave her space. That and occasionally she could be messy and he very much liked the jacket he was wearing. He of course used to tease her about her feeding habits, and since she hasn't had any time to live and grow he was sure she was the same as he remembered. Unlike him; he was quite different from when they were last together, not too much to see him as a completely different person, but enough to see that he wasn't entirely the same. "It is my duty to serve you, and only the best will do." He replied, sitting down in one of the chairs in the far corner, picking up a book an skimming through it. Elias wasn't really reading it, but it was something to keep him occupied for a moment.

Cairo nodded in agreement but said nothing, she seemed like the kind of person to take a liking to silence. She didn't talk much, at least that's what he assumed. He's only seen her a few times around town, at meetings, and all those times she was professional. Even now she behaved rather professionally, though this was something he picked up with most Hunters. They were formal and polite, and always working. Cairo ate quietly, content with how the date was going thus far. He hoped she was enjoying herself, she was a hard person to read. Of course there was plenty of time and he hoped she would warm up to him more. He was quite fond of her and had his hopes he could make her happy.

Jasper ate in silence, looking around the restaurant with a curious casualness. Marie was no doubt a sweet lady with a warm and open heart; someone like her didn't deserve to be dragged into the life of a Hunter. Especially since he was always working and quite frankly he never saw himself really ever settling down. Few Hunters did and those who did often settled with another Hunter, someone who could relate to the hard but accomplished life they lived. His heart belonged to another, although he would never admit to such a thing out loud. Jasper finished the salad without even realizing he had eaten it. He sat back a little and smiled "Refreshing salad," he commented lightly.

(Nonsense! XD )

Josephine smiled and dipped her head, she pushed the lady forward before backing up to give Stefan some space. She leaned against the wall beside the door, clasping her hands behind her back. She knew the Bloodbournes well enough to know Isabella was definitely the more comfortable feeder of the pair, though both fed simply because they had to to survive. She admired them for that, seeing as though many vampires fed because they enjoyed it.

Isabella gazed at him and laughed warmly "Always a charmer," she said teasingly. She turned her attention on the man in front of her, her eyes darkening in hunger. She bared her fangs and plunged them into the man's neck, the warm blood spilling over her tongue. She gripped the man by his shirt, holding him still. The other hand tilted his head to the side to make things easier on her part. She was trying to be somewhat nice about it, keep things clean. She didn't wish to make her dress messy after all, or the floor for that matter. Though it took some concentration seeing as though her throat burned in hunger.

Loli ate her pasta in silence, scanning over the room and the people within it. Even if she was supposed to be on a 'fun' date she couldn't let herself completely relax, danger waited for no one after all. It was always lingering, ready to strike at any moment and she refused to be caught off guard. She had a duty to protect the people of this town, Cairo included, but that made her think. How could he be happy, actually be happy, with someone who was always at work even when they were technically 'off the clock.' If he thought that would be easy he was wrong, she wasn't like other people and she definitely couldn't see how he'd be content with her constant silence. Loli knew she didn't talk so much, she preferred the silence and even with her Hunters she was pretty much mute. The most she spoke at work was when she was calling out orders, or praising them after a job was done. Jasper was the only one she's really ever opened up to about anything that bothered her but even then...maybe she was just sfraid to get close to anyone. She shook her head after a moment, glancing at Cairo before she looked around the room again. None of those thoughts mattered.

Marie ate her salad, finishing a few moments after him. It had indeed been a delightfully refreshing salad, she kind of wished she had more but they still had stew and it was at that point that their waiter returned with two steaming bowls. With a slight smile he carefully set them down on the table and picked up the salad plates, inquiring if they needed anything else and told them to call on him if they thought of anything. Once he was gone Marie looked into her bowl, seeing the small bits of vegetables and meat in the beautifully dark broth. It smelled absolutely delicious, causing her stomach to grumble in hunger again. A little embarrassing, she hoped he didn't hear that or notice the reddening of her face. Her skin was burning so she knew she had a little more coloring than what was normal for her. "Looks quite delicious doesn't it?" She asked, sniffing at the stew nonchalantly.

[Not nonsense. I see it clear as day. XD]

Stefan studied the woman, seeing the drying streaks of tears that ran down her face. Clearly she had been crying which made him feel worse about this, but he needed to do what he had to do. Even at the expense of others. He sighed and lifted the woman's chin up to look at her more closely, nearly wincing as the smell of blood permeated the air from Isabella's direction. Why was he like this and not like the others? It was a question he knew not how to answer, but in the end did it matter? He liked to think he was the voice of reason within their little group, he kept them from going too far and killing too many. There had to be a limit after all for even though they were seen as all powerful they couldn't just do whatever they wanted. The past was proof of that. A smirk crossed his lips as he pushed his feelings away, swiftly moving the woman's chin up and sinking his fangs into her flesh.

Elias rolled his eyes, Isabella did enjoy teasing him. It had been such a long time since she had, it brought a small sense of nostalgia to him. He chuckled under his breath and leaned back in his seat, skipping through a few more pages of the book in his hand. One of the corners of the pages was bent a third of the way in, he was sure it was Stefan's doing. The man loved to read, and he still proved to be quick at seeing as they hadn't been awake that long and he was almost done with this one. Isabella never seemed to have the patience for it, he couldn't remember ever seeing her read. Well not like Stefan did anyway.
