Crypt listened to Carlisle as he talked, a small smirk slipped across his lips. His only response was "I think I'm going to enjoy having you around, Carlisle." He was fascinating, intelligent, and complicated. Like a puzzle that needed to be worked out and solved. I always did enjoy a good puzzle, he mused, turning down another hallway. "The rooms down this hall have been turned into training rooms. This is where the Rebels learn to fight, work as a team, whatever else is needed," the Rebel Leader explained with a flourish of his hand. He paused by one room with a window peering into a padded and empty room. "As you may or may not know, I favor those who have gifts. Of course, some don't have control over such gifts, especially the freshly turned ones. This is where they practice their gifts..." It was a simple room, left empty for a reason. There were various scorch marks and tears that lined the walls. Unbeknownst to many outside of the Rebels, the Rebel army was made up primarily of vampires who had gifts that could be used to aid the Rebel cause. Crypt sought out these vampires or turned humans who he believed would obtain one of these gifts, it was a long process but clearly paid off in the end. Not to say that all the Rebels had gifts, for certainly there were many who were simply loyal and could follow orders. Crypt glanced sideways at Carlisle to see his reaction.

Nicholas sighed in quiet relief that she seemed to be willing to cooperate, he didn't want there to be any trouble. The Twins escorted Ellie out of the store, Nicholas turning back to peer at the stunned citizens who seemed to finally snap out of their daze. He bowed his head "We apologize for any inconvenience, do return to your daily doings. If you have any troubles feel free to contact us," he stated, it sounded as if this was not the first time he's said this exact statement. He recited it from memory. He turned swiftly and trailed after Ellie and Airic, closing the door behind him. Airic knelt down to gather the unconscious vampire into his arms, grunting quietly with effort. "Freaking monster vamp," he grumbled and started up the sidewalk. Nicholas paused beside Ellie and gestured for her to continue following his Twin. She was cautious and rightfully so, even Nicholas was wary of her. There was no telling what she might do, what she could be capable of.

That was the plan, to get Crypt like him as much as possible and whatnot. The more likeable he was to the man the more likely he would keep him close enough to learn a few things. Not just about Crypt himself but the entire inner workings of this place. Carlisle was interested in how the Rebels worked together as well as they did, reminding him of an ant colony. Now wasn't the time to go into the full extent of the analogy, but already his brain was brimming with all sorts of ideas. It was riveting. "I certainly hope so. I have my quirks, but I do work hard." As anyone should. He looked up just in time for Crypt to explain what the rooms were for, the smell of burnt fabric hitting his nose. New vampires were dangerous, he couldn't help but look to one gloved hand as he thought this, an old memory flickering through his mind. Of people he had hurt because he hadn't known he had a gift until much later. No one had been there to teach him, but he taught himself. "A youngling is lucky to have someone who can teach them, some out there are left to figure it out on their own." He said after a moment, lowering his hand. "To have so many gifted in one place is quite extrextraordinary." And dangerous, but he was sure Crypt knew that already.

Ellie paused when she reached Airic and the drunk, keeping her distance. He was treating the man very poorly, but what did she expect? Some vampires thought themselves above others, she blamed Alexander for this mentality. Long gone and he still had a hold on the way vampires lived today. The girl would be impressed if she didn't hate him for the things he did. Then again she was just assuming that many of the more harsh ones of their kind were from his line. She shook her head and looked at Nicholas, refraining from pursing her lips again as she followed his brother. This day would never end, it already felt as if she had been done for days. Despite her reluctance there was a part of her that wondered if this employer would know if her Uncle lived in this city, but the other didn't want them to know that she was in any way close to an Elder. If this person was interested in her, a normal vampire in comparison, she could only imagine the kind of interest an Elder would bring out. No, it was too risky. You're a nobody, these people know nothing about you.

Crypt motioned Carlisle closer, pausing beside a large window leading into one of the training rooms. He stood there with his hands clasped behind his back, studying the commotion going on inside. There was almost always some sort of training going on, it was how he kept the Rebels up to par, ready to face anything. "I keep the younglings off the streets, teach them how to use their gifts to their full potential, keep themselves and everyone around them safe," Crypt commented "I know what its like to have to learn your gift on your own, tragedy always follows." Only two people in the entire world knew what Crypt's real gift was. It was a unique one, a dangerous one. He could take on the gifts of any vampire he killed, that was his one and only gift. However, this meant he could only use all those stolen gifts to a minimum, never to the full extent that the host vampire could. Over time he quickly learned it was better to gather the gifted vampires to his side, and now here he stood with an army of them. Crypt mused over the many trial and errors of figuring out how his little gift worked, those were the days that the Officials flagged him as the enemy. He cleared his thoughts and glanced over at Carlisle again, nodding firmly. "It certainly is, though tricky." He nodded towards the window. Within the room there were two Rebels facing off; one had bright flames that kissed his fingertips and palms, the other grasped water droplets from the air. Both were panting and heaving, sweat dripped off their brows, various injuries lined their skin. From the corner of the room a figure strode out with a clipboard, seemingly documenting results, waving at them to cease training. Crypt watched the little process with a deep fascination.

The twins guided Ellie through the city in absolute silence, other than the various strings of curses as Airic struggled to maintain hold of the unconscious vampire. Nicholas trailed just a little ways behind her and Airic a little ways in front. It wasn't long before the Palace came into view, something of a relief to Nicholas. He wanted to leave her be as soon as possible and be on his way. Airic, just wanted to get the job done. Besides, they didn't have any solid proof on her so really all Crypt could do was speak with her. He had a way of knowing if vampires had gifts, not always though. Some were more stubborn than others. Nicholas wholeheartedly believed, Ellie was among the most stubborn.

Carlisle came to stand next to Crypt, peering into the room. There were three vampires within, one with fire another with water and the last with a clipboard. Both had injuries which wasn't surprising seeing as they were training against each other. It seemed barbaric to make them learn by hurting one another, but it was definitely more controlled this way. They weren't harming innocents because they had no idea what was going on. Unlike himself, but he refused to think about those years. "That's highly commendable. I cannot imagine just how many innocents you've kept alive by doing this." He spoke as if he were impressed. It was possible these people would've never turned if Crypt left them be, but at least they weren't running amuck in the streets killing innocent people. Even a plain 'newborn' wreaked plenty of havoc, a gifted one caused ten times the trouble. In times like this he wondered how their ancestors coped with their abilities and what they were like before greed set in; the stories passed down only taught them so much about those historical figures. "Tricky," he chuckled, glancing at Crypt briefly. "Do they fight? You do teach them well, but I have witnessed how pigheaded some of our kind can be." By pigheaded he meant arrogant but he would never say such a word to Crypt. In every family there was a black sheep however, and Carlisle had the misfortune of meeting a couple in his time. He...had more blood on his hands than he'd like to admit.

Ellie looked at the back of Airic's head with disapproval, the vulgarity left her feeling sick. When did vampires become so unpleasant? They used to have so much respect, aside from a certain Elder but she didn't think about him. She wanted to scold his bad behavior but she kept quiet, she didn't feel like getting into another argument with him. There were a lot of regrets, she's never felt so mentally exhausted from a single exchange like this before. That sounded mean but she was in a mindset to protect herself, if she had to be a little mean then she would do it to be able to return home to those who actually cared about her. Kai could be just as foul as Airic at times, but he at least didn't make her feel like an experiment like they did. An ant under a microscope if she was saying it right. He saw beyond what she could do and that's all she's ever really wanted out of others.

Crypt watched them a moment longer before he swiftly turned away and began walking again, they still had a little ways to go before they reached the meeting room. He continued speaking with Carlisle, glancing in on a couple of the other rooms just to check, empty. "I like to imagine the amount of innocents I've saved makes up for the lives I've taken," he replied so bluntly and honestly, it seemed as though he really didn't have any regrets, with this statement he took a careful glance at Carlisle. After all, he had to see where Carlisle stood on these matters. If he was to be a Rebel he had to understand who Crypt was and what he's done. All the Rebels were aware of his crimes, many of them worshiped him for it, even though Crypt took no pride in such crimes. It was simply what had to be done at the time. It was business, not personal. "They certainly fight, every family fights don't they? I have more...level headed Rebels that keep those in less control, in line." Crypt had set up a large system that worked well, different levels of Rebels to handle the level below them.

It wasn't long before the small group approached the Palace, a small band of Rebels approached them, blocking the way to the door. Airic gave them a single look and muttered something quietly. All eyes turned on Ellie. There was a brief discussion between the pair before the group parted ways to let them through. The doors opened up and a rush of cool air fell over them. The small band of Rebels stood on either side, gazing at Ellie with a wide mixture of expressions, anywhere from curious to disgusted. Nicholas gave Ellie a tiny nudge "Don't mind them..." he muttered quietly. He didn't particularly care for Ellie, mostly because he didn't know who she was, but he was far kinder and emotionally observant than his Twin.

Carlisle observed the vampires for a moment longer before following Crypt, holding his hands behind his back while he walked. There was a thoughtful expression on his otherwise smooth face, hiding whatever he may truly be feeling. Death was an inevitable factor of this life. Whether you meant it or not you would take another's life. He certainly didn't enjoy it, but he knew others out there did. To some it was a sport. "I think killing is inevitable for a vampire. Some don't mean to, others do. I'd like to think it keeps things balanced in a way." Or at least that's what he tried to convince himself. No one deserved to die but it happens every day, even some of the humans killed. Every being was born with darkness in their hearts, not everyone had control of it. "Ah, I wouldn't know." Carlisle couldn't remember his family, if he ever had one, nor could he remember a time where he and Orion fought. They've had disagreements, but those were different. "Hopefully I was the levelheaded one though, but who knows? I could've been the terrible one." He chuckled, shaking his head. For as calm as he was it would certainly surprise him if he had been an awful person before the amnesia, but it was possible.

Ellie tore her gaze from Airic's back and looked at Nicholas with a confused blink before glancing briefly at the guards. Had they done something? It seemed so by his words, not that she cared. Dirty looks were nothing compared to what she's been through in life, intimidation wouldn't work on her either. Maybe once upon a time, but she wasn't that scared little girl anymore. Fear remained but she it didn't control her like it used to. I have grown. Once she eased her mind she sighed to herself and returned her gaze to Airic's back, all she cared about was getting this done so she could go home. If she was lucky she could take a shower before Kai woke up and noticed the scent of this place on her. It was strong and didn't give off the best vibe. There was so much wrong with this place. How many have they hurt here...?

"Quite right," Crypt replied and paused before mentioning, almost to himself, "Not even the noble Orion has clean hands..." He fell quiet for a bit as they continued to wander the halls of the Palace. His fascination with Orion ran deeper than anyone quite understood, the Rebels especially couldn't make sense of it. Seeing as though Crypt had strictly ordered that no death was to befall the Official, he never bothered to explain why and they dared not ask. Crypt glanced at Carlisle briefly "Amnesia?" he questioned, continuing down the hall. He didn't stop to mention the purposes for every room as that was something Carlisle would learn with time, though the majority were used as bedrooms for the Rebels. He slowed down as they approached a set of doors. It was the same room the Officials had used as an office, it seemed suiting that the Rebels should use it for the same. Or perhaps Crypt simply had a strange sense of humor.

Airic motioned to Nicholas, the pair exchanged a quick glance before nodding. Airic parted off, dragging the vampire towards a set of stairs that led down below the palace. Nicholas made a small sweeping motion with his hand "Follow me, miss." He said evenly and started towards a separate set of doors. "You will remain in this room while I call upon the boss," he explained. There were scattered Rebels around the main hall, always in at least a pair of two. They cast quick glances in their direction but they said nothing. It was none of their business and being the Twins were of a slightly higher tier than most of them, they didn't question them.

Carlisle said nothing about this specific comment, he was a 'stranger who knew nothing of the one called Orion' after all. Crypt's fascination was odd to him though bordering almost on obsession. Orion was an interesting figure so he couldn't blame him, but seeing as he's known him for a long time he wasn't able to understand it. He did know Orion has killed, a vampire couldn't avoid it as much as they tried, but he didn't know if Crypt was admiring him for it or disgusted by it. The man wasn't the easiest to read, which was good as a leader. "Amnesia, yes. I did mention it before when you asked about my past." He replied, thinking of his time here. In a previous meeting Crypt had inquired about his past and who he had been, all he could give were 'recent' things. If ever he would learn who he was he didn't know, but he was determined to try and remember who he had been before he woke to that home on fire. If he had had a family or if he had been alone. "I can do so much, but when it comes to my memory I can't do anything. I don't mind though, I'm proud of who I am."

Ellie watched as Airic left with the drunk, her grip tightening on her shopping bags. The poor straps were being strangled at this point, but it was the most minor thing she could do to release her nerves without being obvious. She hadn't agreed to any of this, to being left alone or made to wait, but what could she do? Arguing would just cost her even more time and she was sure any of these people would attack her if she dared try. This group, or whatever it was, seemed like the kill first ask questions later type with the looks some of them were giving her. Alice taught her to defend herself, but there were so many of them and she would grow exhausted before it ended. Her life mattered more than her discomfort. "Fine." She replied, pursimg her lips. It felt like she was doing that a lot today, but she didn't know how else to show her displeasure about all of this at the moment.

Crypt nodded and waved his hand nonchalantly "Yes, yes, I know..." he responded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Amnesia..." he muttered again, something about that stuck with him. He looked perplexed but the expression was gone as soon as it had arrived. He waved his hand and the doors creaked open. He motioned for Carlisle to enter the room "As you should be, we all ought to be proud of who we are." He stepped into the room and looked around, no one else had arrived yet. It was a large room with a vast window on one end. A long, mahogany table rested in the center surrounded by chairs. Bookcases lined one wall and filing cabinets along the other. It was nearly exactly as how the Officials had it, a few minor changes. "This is the room where we meet, the others will arrive soon I imagine."

Nicholas opened the door and waved her inside, looking at her evenly. "And I suggest you don't try leaving..." he warned, not giving her what might happen if she does. This place was crawling with Rebels and to be fair at least two would stand guard at the door anyways. "Make yourself comfortable," he muttered and turned away. He quickly strode across the room towards the stairs, two guards taking his place in watching Ellie. They looked at her evenly, not revealing much. The girl tilted her head, studying Ellie quietly.

Carlisle chuckled to himself, sensing the odd air. A vampire with amnesia would sound strange to those whom believed vampires were perfect, but surely they weren't. He knew that it was possible, and much more likely, his memory had been wiped for some reason but it was just easier to say amnesia when asked about his past. Not everybody needed to know about it, or lack there of. "Unfortunately not all of us are, but I have hopes everyone will one day find their purpose in this world." He stated, looking over as a room to a door opened. Just like everywhere else in the palace they hadn't changed much about this meeting room, but no matter how small the differences it was unknown territory to him in a way. "This is quite the room. The architecture continues to amaze me." It was beautifully built, he couldn't imagine trying to draw up floor plans and putting it all together. This was art. "I don't mind waiting of course, I am the guest here." There wasn't a lack of things to look at either, he didn't think it possible to grow bored in her. Perhaps just more nervous as the time ticked along.

Ellie met his even tone with an even one of her own, making do to let him know that his intimidation didn't get to her. He quite frankly wasn't as scary as his twin, or the guards that seemed to appear out of nowhere as he left. They stared at her but she acted unbothered, reaching out for the door and swiftly closing it. She was fine with them standing out there, but she wasn't fine with them gawking at her as if she were an animal. Whoever they worked for could do with teaching them some manners, but she was beginning to realize there was more to this employer than met the eye. Normal people didn't willingly live in palaces or have guards. There's always one isn't there... She sighed tiredly, standing in the corner of the room with her back to the corner. There were places to sit, but she refused to make herself comfortable here.
