They made it to the first floor, Airic catching a glimpse of some guards. They left them be as he suspect, probably happy he had come to drag Lucy away from work for a bit. He headed towards the doors, looking over at her. "I don't blame you, but with your job it's important you have someone there to watch your back..." Airic pointed out with a gentle smile. Even Crypt, who seemed untouchable, had guards that stayed close but always just out of sight. Few were even aware they existed. Airic laughed "Ah well I don't think they've taken over yet," he grinned and shrugged a little "I know I should probably sell some off but it's hard to let go." He went to a few art events around the city and he'd sell his art every now and then, sometimes though he just got too caught up in his work he forgot to leave the house entirely.

Crypt lingered just behind Pyra, peering over at their daughter. A soft smile lined his lips, chuckling softly at Pyra's remark. "You need your rest," he agreed. He hated leaving, he hated that they were forced to leave, he hated that this was his fault entirely. He tried to ignore it but his ugly past crept up on them every step of their journey. He often wondered what would happen if the people found him alive. It's been so long, would they still care? Foolish question really, almost every vampire knew who he was and was impacted by what he did in some way or another. Whether good or bad. He'd imagine there were even Rebels still wandering about the city, having moved on. What would happen though? Would he be thrown into a cell never to see the light again, chased out, or killed.

Her guards were indeed happy that she was going home as it meant they could relax too. They never spoke their minds about it, none of them had the power to make her go home like her husband did. Lucy could say no, but that only led to disappointment and that was an expression she never liked to see on his face. Even before they were together, but back then it had been less obvious. He had gotten close to her in a way no one had before and though she had doubts about it then, she was grateful now. "I can take care of myself..."she pouted. Even as a human she had been able to take down a vampire but she had to admit that if Crypt hadn't done what he had to her she wouldn't have been able to. "You've put so much work into them...however we may have to a place for you to properly store them." Maybe a gallery... It was an idea, there were a few empty buildings around the city that weren't being used for anything. Maybe she could fix one up as a surprise...

Pyra kissed Dakota on the side of the head and stood back so Crypt to say goodbye too. This wouldn't be the last time, they knew where she was and they wouldn't let go. Never again. There may be many here who still felt sour about the things Crypt did but that wouldn't stop them, and she would let no harm come to her family. Looking at them now made her that much more determined. Above all else she wanted them to be happy again. Safe. Kota huffed but didn't argue, she was sleepy and the warmth of the couch wasn't helping any. She could ask them to stay here, they had extra rooms, but she knew her parents and Mathias weren't comfortable with each other. They probably had their things back at the hotel they were staying at, things they needed. At least they were here, they had things to work through, but they were here.

"I know you can darling, but with so much going on you can't possibly watch your own back every moment of every day," Airic pointed out with a small smile. He knew fully well she could take down just about anyone, she was strong even when she was human. However, she was so distracted over work he couldn't help but worry someone would use that to get to her. He opened the doors and stepped outside, gazing up at the night sky. Although the edges were just starting to creep into a light blue. Dawn was almost upon them. He paused there on the steps, watching the sky before looking back at Lucy. He chuckled "Yeah I suppose we'll have to find some place to keep them..." he agreed though he didn't have the faintest idea where. Perhaps he was a bit of an art addict, always tucked away in his art studio. He couldn't help it though, it drove away the shadows that lurked over him.

Crypt stepped forward and pressed a gentle kiss on the side of Dakota's head "We love you, Dakota..." he said softly and kissed the top of her head before withdrawing. He came to stand beside Pyra and gently took her hand in his, giving it a small squeeze. He didn't wish to leave her, almost afraid they'd somehow lose her again. It won't happen, never again. Not now that you've finally got her back...we'll visit again soon. he thought determinedly.

Lucy tilted her head, looking at him with a raised brow. "Well I can't at all. No eyes on the back of my head." Sarcasm was like a second language to her, but she only used it when she was around those who knew her best. Strangers weren't the most open to it, they felt a need to take things very seriously these days. I shouldn't talk. I take my job too seriously...she reminded herself as she stepped out into the cool air beside him, releasing a sigh. Everything was about work and taking care of others, even Airic shoved himself into his art though she took blame for that. If she was home more then maybe he wouldn't feel the need to ignore the world. Although the world was a dark place she had to admit, so maybe he was better off in his creative mind. "We'll think of something, I'm sure of it." Or she would anyway, she had to do something with these abandoned buildings and with a gallery he could share his art with others. "I'll add it to my list of thing to do."

Kota curled up, yawning but refusing to fall asleep while her parents left. She wanted to make sure Mathias was okay as well, she was half asleep but his discomfort filled the room. Like incense if she had to describe it. Her tired gaze moved from one to the other, nodding to show that she understood. This was only goodbye for now. Pyra squeezed Crypt's hand in return, glancing at the door Mathias disappeared through before looking at her husband. The sun was already starting to rise, she could feel it. "Let's go." She whispered, giving his hand a gentle tug. A nap did sound nice right about now.

Airic laughed, a genuine, bright laugh. He missed her sarcasm as he spoke it well. He offered his arm to her with a small smile "May I have the honor of escorting you home?" he said in a mock gentleman tone. It was strange for him to see how much he's changed. Once a bitter, strict Rebel turned light-hearted and quiet. He supposed he took on much of his brother's qualities after they were separated. His twin had been the polite, quiet one. He shook these thoughts from his mind, he didn't like to think about his Twin. It brought an ache to his chest. He beamed at her "Nonsense, you've already got so much on your list of things to do," he pointed out lightly. He shrugged a little bit "I just need to learn to let go of some of my art, too close with them," he smiled in amusement. He couldn't help it though, they were his sense of comfort. They were a part of him. Though he has given some art away but those had been gifts to friends or art pieces for companies.

Crypt gazed back at Dakota for a moment longer and sigh, he leaned over and kissed Pyra's head in response. He said nothing more and headed for the door. He felt relieved to see her, happy...but haunted. All those years of being separated...all those years of being close to her without ever knowing it. He frowned a bit, an expression crossed his face which was often tied too deep thought and guilt.

Lucy looked down to his arm, shaking her head. "Oh Iguess." She smirked, taking his arm with a big sigh. It had taken her time to grow used to any form of affection she would admit, even a hug had been difficult, but she was comfortable with their relationship now. They were sarcastic and she loved it. Some used to say they could never work out being that they were both hard headed and a tad cold, but they proved them wrong. "But only because I haven't heard you laugh like that in awhile." His genuine laughter was rare these days, but she understood why that was. Nicholas had been a part of him and the day he vanished part of her husband went with him. She wouldn't tell him, but she did send a small group out to search for him when they could spare the numbers, nothing has come of it. Yet. "Those are boring and stressful things, this would be a fun thing." Work took up most of her to do list and she was drowning in it so she looked forward to something different. "Too close? Well...I admit I do fear you may leave me to marry your art one day..." She laughed light-heartedly.

Pyra smiled faintly and followed Crypt, sensing his relief but also his pain. She knew he felt guilt and that it would always linger, she felt it too, but she wished she could take his from him. He had so much on his shoulders that he didn't need to make it worse on himself, but he was stubborn so she knew there was no talking him out of it. She sighed to herself and looked back at their daughter again, it was hard to leave but at the same time she was so happy to have her back in their lives. The sadness would leave them in time, they just had to be strong until then and she was strong enough to hold her husband up too.
Kota noticed her mother looking at her and sat up to watch them go, smiling a little. It didn't quite reach her eyes, but it was enough to allow her parents some peace and that was what she wanted.
