Name: Jaymes Everett

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Age: 30

Occupation/Role: Bodyguard

Abilities/Skills: Jaymes has spent a lifetime taking hits so others didn’t have to. As a result, he is quite strong and can easily defeat opponents in hand-to-hand combat. Jaymes has experience accumulated over a multitude of occupations that required fighting and surviving, such as guarding travelling caravans, defending settlements, and hunting mutants, in that time Jaymes has learned many combat skills and general wasteland survival. He is an adept at first-aid, but is no surgeon.

Jaymes is proficient with firearms, and prefers to use a sawn-off shotgun from before the war. Pre-War firearms are in limited supply in today’s society, and most that are assembled are prone to jamming and easily fall into disrepair. Though his gun is a relic, it still fires true.

Personality: Jaymes is tough on the outside, but soft on the inside. Though at first he will come off as rough and stubborn, Jaymes is just a big guy with a bigger heart who hates to see his friends or family in danger.

Appearance: Jaymes’ skin may hold scars and signs of a hard life lived, but his eyes hold a softness to them that is uncommon in the American Badlands. His hair is streaked with silver dye, something popular for the younger folks in Cleveland. His jacket is padded and patched, after more than a few run ins with ruffians, various patches advertise Pre-War products or hold military insignias of which the meaning has long since faded. The dog tags that hang around his neck once belonged to his great-grandfather, who fought in the Resource War.

Backstory: Jaymes was born in the city of New Akron, a once great vehicle manufacturing plant had been built there. After the war, it was repossessed by the people, and with some simple human ingenuity, it was restored to working order. Cars and trucks were forged, and utilized by the inhabitants, creating a prosperous city that depended on mounted guards, and a wall of rubber. James’ parents ran a gang of mechanics - or “Greasers” in the old days - who watched out for the poor in New Akron.

Soon conflict arose between the working class, and a group of influential individuals who claimed to be descendant from the founder of the factories. The two groups bickered, and soon fighting started. Jaymes was quickly sent to live with his aunt in Cleveland, and never heard word from his parents again. In Cleveland, he attended school and began learning the trade routes, while his Aunt Rose hoped he would take up a position working with the Ohio Express, a prosperous trade and courier service of which Rose handled financial business. For a while, James went along as a caravan hand, assisting in the movement of cargo from city to city, but when bandit attacks became more frequent, Jaymes was promoted to a guard position and took lessons in self-defence from a family friend.

Since then, Jaymes spent many years moving around the surrounding Ohio Badlands area, from Cincinnati, to Toledo, and quite a few settlements in-between. Never more than a little while, but long enough to make friends.
