Name: Tywin Brightstaff
Age: Much like Dorian, his extreme age has caused him to forget how old he is.
Gender: Male
Race: Lich

Lich
A lich is an undead creature of magic, that has fused itself with magic to extend its natural life. In that way, a lich can be of any race as long as they are of a significant magical potential. The ritual itself takes several years, and over time, the flesh will rot from their bones, making them almost the same as a zombie, except they retain their mind and feelings. Liches are not difficult to destroy however. As they are bound to magic, using too much will inevitably cause them to expire. They are also immensely vulnerable to fire and banishment.

Position: None

Bio: Tywin was once of the humans whose lands had been conquered by the Phoenix Kingdom, born under their rule. Like many young adults who were born under the Phoenix Kingdom, he was drafted into military service and served them as a guard locally. Through this, he recieved basic military training and he served for 4 years before returning home. It was during this time that others his age were uniting against their overlords, unhappy to have a foreign monarch reigning over them. Joining with them, Tywin became one of the ringleaders of the rebellion but unable to kill any of the Phoenixes, he ordered his group to surrender rather than be slaughtered by the knights. Tywin was taken prisoner and sentenced to death, but before he was executed, the darkness arrived.

In the chaos, Tywin was saved by a Phoenix named Yorith, a powerful mage who saved the prisoners from the expanding darkness. During their travels to the mainland, the two bonded and Yorith began to teach the young man magic, sensing deep magical potential within him. Yorith and Tywin would continue their bond for several months, unlocking his magic and forming him into a great mage. However the Phoenix Kingdom had been pushed back by the darkness, and their time in this world was coming to an end. Yorith revealed they would be safe from the darkness 'at worlds end', and the Phoenix King makes the decision to take his people across the sea to 'rebuild' their kingdom. Dorian objected, arguing they couldn't leave humanity to its fate and chose to stay, along with a handful of others, to make a final stand for the sake of the world. Yorith left with his King, swore to stay by his side, but he left Tywin his staff. The Staff of the Sun. Thus Tywin took Brightstaff as his surname, and aided Dorian in his fight against the darkness. The two became good friends, and in the final climatic battle, it was Tywin who created the rift to help cast the darkness back to its realm. But he knew it would one day return.

Trapping the remaining power of the darkness in artefacts, he travelled the world and hid them incase it would ever return, placing powerful enchantments on then to try and hide their power. Further, in his travels he gather up as many magical tomes as he could, using their power to transform himself into a lich. His sacrifice in order to live forever, and keep the darkness at bay. Further study revealed to him the weaknesses of the darkness, but in his research, Dorian returned, corrupted by that same dark force. Tywin has been hunting after him ever since, trying to prevent him gathering the artefacts and to work out a way to free his friend from the darkness consuming him.

Tywin is a mage with very few peers, however he refuses to use his magic for war or to harm others. His healing magic is so powerful it can bring back those on the brink of death, and he can cast city wide shields to deflect ranged projectiles and magic. He continues to use light magic in case if the need to defend himself against the darkness. His knowledge or necromancy is also legendary, able to raise the dead to defend the weak.

Appearance: Unfortunately, the process of turning into a lich and eons of eternal life has turned his flesh to dust, leaving him no more that a walking, talking undead with its mind still intact. He wears bright gold robes, his head covered by his hood and a golden mask. His mask is fairly standard, with eyes, nose and a mouth but with no holes, with Tywin using magic to see through the metal. In life he was tall, now he uses the Staff of the Sun to walk, leaning heavily on it and standing hunchback. Through magic however he can give himself the power to stand upright and move quickly, which he exercises in great danger only.

Father forgive me for my sins, but I am going to sin two more times. Two more characters shall be birthed into this world from my mind.
He who sits upon the throne of winter shall find no enemy able to burn fiercly enough to oppose him

Name: Abaddon

Age: It's.... complicated.

Gender: Male

Race: Demon

Position: Former Tyrant of a conquered land

Bio: Abaddon comes from a land far, far to the east. The land was devastated by the Dragon Civil War, as when the dragons vanished, they were left with no rulers. Multiple dynasties have ruled since then, but none have endured the test of time. Abaddon took power with the intent to change that. He took over the land suddenly, like a tidal wave. He ruled with terror, slaughtering, pillaging, raping and mutilating any who fought against him, and his fellow demon allies. People joined Abaddon in droves, either out of fear, wishing to escape the cruel way he treated those who fought him, or out of some sort of admiration, for his indomitable will, his charisma, and the fact that he never seemed to fail at anything once he decided it would be done.

Abaddon took over the land, killing the previous ruler, a man people loved and respected, and wished to see stay on the throne. Abaddon took the former Queen, and the princesses captive for his own sick desires, and he had the princes torn to shreds in the arena by their own hungry war dogs. Abaddon ruled over the land for years, but he knew he was mortal. He knew he would die of old age eventually, that father time would take him, as he took everything else. This knowledge displeased Abaddon, and so he turned to the sickest, cruelest, darkest magics he could find. He studies necromancy, and he studies magic of the soul, and after years of searching, just when he thought that his search would be in vain... he found what he was searching for. A truly ancient spell, that would allow him to tear his soul from his body, and take the body of someone else. Abaddon used this sick magic time, and time again, to avoid the grasp of death, and of father time, and he ruled, and he ruled, and he ruled, as generation after generation passed, until the bones of his original body were nothing more than dust, as were the bones of the next ten bodies. After centuries of cruel rule however, people will be pushed to their breaking point, and that happened in the land Abaddon ruled, forcing him to flee from the revolution, across the fierce, cold sea, but he was not the only who crossed the sea. He was pursued by the one who started the rebellion.

Appearance: Abaddon's first appearance has been lost to time. Not even he truly remembers what he originally looked like, but it doesn't matter. His appearance changes each time he takes the body of a new host, and the current body he is in is that of a fanatic of his, who was raised to serve as Abaddon's next body. The young man he takes the form of now has black hair, red eyes, and is quite muscular. The body has been altered by Abaddon's cruel, twisted magic, to be more than it had ever been for it's true owner.

Abaddon is a mighty necromancer, and he knows cruel, twisted magics that no one should know. He is not immortal however. If you can kill the mortal shell he uses, you can force his dark, warped soul to reveal itself, and his soul is extremely vulnerable to light magics. Light magic, even if Abaddon dwells within a human form, is extremely painful to Abaddon, as it sears at his soul, bypassing the mortal flesh he uses as a host. Abaddon can also be sealed away, and is this is the case, he will be unable to take a new host, and he will be trapped, as a twisted, shadow of a spirit.

Name: Anauel

Age: 29

Gender: Female

Race: Angel

Position: Revolutionary

Bio: Anauel was born under Abaddon's rule. Her parents were angels, hiding from Abaddon, while seeking to find a way to topple the cruel tyrant from the throne. Her sixteenth birthday, what should have been a joyous day for Anauel, became the worst day of her entire life. Her parents had both returned home, to be with her on her birthday, and as they had a small celebration, an evil unlike anything Anauel had ever felt washed over the small home in which they lived. Abaddon himself had found them, and he was going to eliminate them. Anauel's parents hid her in the basement of their home, as there was no way she would be able to get away if she tried to flee. As Anauel hid in the basement, she could barely see what was happening. Her parents tried to fight the creature that called itself Abaddon, but it was to no avail. Anauel's father was tortured by Abaddon, and his cruel magics. His wings were torn from his back, slowly, and as he screamed, Abaddon laughed, a sound that would haunt Anauel for the rest of her life. Anauel's father was forced to watch as the cruel demon tore his wife's wings from her back, before he forced himself upon her, as both Anauel and her father watched, helpless. Eventually, the two died, but even that was not the end, for Abaddon used his twisted magic to bind their soul's to their bodies, and force them to become his slaves.

Anauel was found two days later, by her parents most trusted friends, with whom they planned the revolution. Anauel would be raised by them, and she would become the leader of the revolution a few years later, as there was a fire in her soul that no one else in the revolution could match. Anauel would eventually successfully topple Abaddon from his Black Throne, but they failed to kill him, as Abaddon managed to escape across the ocean. Most of the revolutionaries were fine with that, as he was no longer their problem, as their land was free from his grasp. Anauel would not be so easily satisfied though, and she would pursue him, also going across the ocean, determined to hunt him down and kill him.

Dark, I didn't even look at your character and we made a similar creature, but basically polar opposites. Your guy is good, and he keeps his own soul within his own body, my dude is evil and refuses to accept his death or his aging, so he steals other people's bodies. #Toospooky

That's because most of the time, good guys don't raise zombies and eat the soul of the living... Sorry if that is super stereotypical, but that's the usual lich for what I know.
You feel like you know me? Don't be so sure, I decided what you know.
