[NAME] Yokokawa, Ruki
[MAGICAL GIRL ALIAS] Met@l D!a

Some background on the name: originally Ruki had asked her manager Natsuo if she could have an alias with the word “Diamond” in it for personal reasons. Seeing as it sounded a bit “too long and not as catchy” to fit her idol image, he suggested why not “Metal Diva”, to compliment on her power and the image of a futuristic idol. After some talks, they compromised with something catchy enough “Metal Dia”. Seeing that Ruki likes to be additionally standing out, they changed a few letters to actual Ascii symbols.

[AGE]: 14
[CURRENT STANDING] Since Ruki has just joined, she's not on any public records yet. But in the VDO files, she is currently rank 201.
[ACHIEVEMENTS] None of note to the public yet. With her new contract in the VDO, Ruki will be aiming to perform contemporary classical, Metal pop and electronic songs to build her fanbase. In general, her manager doesn't want to have her defined by a specific music genre, but he finds these three would suit Ruki the most. In terms of the themes of the songs, the current thoughts were those suited for little kids, especially young girls, so they would be somewhat cheerful and optimistic, which suits Ruki's outer image.

[PERSONALITY]
Ruki is the energetic but also naive girl among her group of friends. Her general ways of thinking are rather simple, to the point that sometimes she might seem rather simplistic. Overall, she’s an easy person to talk to, being someone who has a wide range of interests and loves to hear about other people. She does seem rather mischievous at times, though her pranks usually only involve her parents or her brother Shun. She’s particularly competitive with Shun, in terms of who is more popular among their friends.

Ruki and Shun live by the motto “You can be anything you want, just not everything at once”. What this means is that they know how to make themselves look sorry to get out of trouble from parents or detention, or to seem innocent when they played a prank. This doesn’t mean they can change their character completely, rather it’s just based on their experiences they can tailor their words or actions to fit the situation. Thus they have a general natural instinct to act charismatic. In addition, Ruki is fairly experimentive, in the way that often there’s new things she likes to try just due to curiosity.

Ruki has several weird habits, that no one is sure where she picked up from. There are two types of smiles she has. One is the general happy and hyper one for the bubbly girl. The other is when she is honestly scared. There’s definitely differences, but at times it might give some people the impression that she’s enjoying whatever she’s supposed to be scared of. The other thing that is odd is perhaps how she is rather not easily disturbed by morbid things, nor she's a bit indifferent in disturbing or grievous moments, as though she's a bit too optimistic and cheerful. This doesn't mean that she likes the notion of someone crying or hurting, she's just less responsive towards it emotionally.

The other thing is that there are times she considers Shun like her other self. An example would be, in the case where someone else insults or threats her brother, Ruki would take it very personally. Her general angry side is like a normal girl throwing a tantrum.

[BIOGRAPHY]
Ruki and Shun were born in the city, in a safer district from crime and where there was less heavy activity of nightmares. It didn't mean that there would be none absolutely, but it was for the norm to kids at their local school to expect the police and Vivid to take care of everything. The two had been going to the same primary school, with their own circle of friends. Though they got along with most of their classmates from either genders, the both had arguments about which gender was more superior. The argument never got settled though.

Shun and Ruki both found their respective hobbies when they were around the age of 8. The younger brother decided to go for rhythmic gymnastics. He's not too popular since the sport isn't popular in general, but he quite likes it.

Meanwhile Ruki chose to do parkour. Not really for any other reason different from Shun, because it was "cool". There were four friends she had found that she stuck very close with in her parkour class, and her best friend was Akira. Later on, these three were known by their magical girl aliases: Punkie Heart, Miss Fortune Club and Ace of Spades.

Ruki first encountered her abilities when she was able to bend spoons. At first she was just bragging about how she could be a psychic till her brother pointed out the obvious. When it was tested and confirmed that she was a magical girl after all, she was all the more happier and smug about it. Of course, given how rare but important magical girls were she was scouted to one of the school in the city specifically where magical girls were grouped together. It was a normal school but there were specific students who were also magical girls.

After promising her mother not to keep pranking with bent tweezers and tongs in the house she had gotten the approval. Almost as if to answer the challenge, Shun was able to apply, and get an offer for his athletic talent in mens' rhythmic gymnastics.

[PRIMARY POWER]
Ruki can accelerate metal substances, and adjust their temperature. This includes alloys and content with high metallic molecules. (Water solutions with metallic ions don't count). She can cause the metal substances to move fluidly around her, and also allow them to change into different shapes. She needs to be able to visualize the shape clearly in her mind for the metal substance to stabilize. (This becomes easier over time with the same category item).

At the moment, Ruki can only visualize well two weapons: a pair of twin swords or a series of darts. The darts are sharp but very small, and speed is compromised for accuracy. She hasn’t learnt to use other weapons yet though she does try to practice manipulating metal into different shapes. Ruki primary focuses on using twin swords with a mid-range to close-range attacking style, and maximises her offense to defend herself. When she uses darts, they don’t usually last more than one minute.

There are times when Ruki is able to use it creatively, like quickly causing metal form into strips and bind over a Grimm’s limb. Some of these are thought up by Shun, and some by Ruki herself in the heated moment of battle.

[SECONDARY POWER]
Ruki can conjure up a boundary boxes by her imagination. These boundary boxes seal the inside from the outside completely, including the air. So if a person was inside the box for too long, they would die from lack of oxygen. At the moment, Ruki can only conjure up to four boxes. The largest size she’s able to conjure up is up to the size of a swimming pool. For people inside or outside the box, they can’t see the boundary, but they will feel as though they hit an imaginary, transparent wall.
Due to Ruki’s weak magic defense, they can shatter with a reasonable strengthened magical attack. However, Ruki can re-conjure one up immediately.

[TERTIARY SKILL]
Ruki is good at parkour. She's been taking lessons together with one of her friends, and the competitive spirit between these two keeps her continue to try and improve. She sometimes practice by also finding shortcuts from places.

At this moment she can scale up and from buildings and jump at a high altitude without much trouble. Fighting on a high, steep slope is a different issue at the moment.

[HYPER POWER]
Using her body as a lightning rod and conductor, Ruki is able to conjure up a series of lighting strikes. At the moment the record is set to 7 meters radius. Other than the majority of her energy been expended, Ruki should not take damage from the electricity from the lightning strikes. (These would have a high current aimed to numb or burn the enemies and substances around her).

[CLUTCH POWER]
This power can feed off:
1. Ruki’s basic fear of her or her brother dying
2. The basic desire to want to destroy something, often the target
It’s only when either of these two feelings are dominant (or her positive-thoughts are diminished) she can activate this ability. Her shadow becomes materialised material, and Ruki can use it in a similar manner to how she manipulates metal. However, the speed is much faster and the movement is more fluid. She is able to make the materialised shadows de-materialise. On default, the shape of the shadows takes shape of her brother’s figure.

Currently, Yume is ranked at 57.

Achievements:
Yume first debuted on February 22, 2032, and within her two years of service she has successfully defeated five Akumu, two of which without support, and has assisted in the closing of six dreamscapes while in a supporting role. She also currently has one album out, a collection of softer melodies and lullabies. Her rank has held steady within the mid-fifties for a while now. Several attempts have been made to have her join a group or work with a partner, but all have failed for one reason or another.


Personality:
They don't call Yume the Ice Princess for nothing. If you only ever knew her in passing, you would think Yume to be cold as ice. She gives off the feeling of someone who is always cool and composed. Well, that is only if you don't know her well. It isn't really that Yume doesn't feel any emotions, it is simply that Yume is terrible at being able to express her emotions. If you are one of the lucky few who get to know her, you would soon learn that Yume is a girl who loves cute things, and like any her age suffers bouts of self doubt about the path she wishes to lead in this life.

Her small apartment is packed full of stuffed animals, and other adorable odds and ends, from characters of a beloved show, to a cute animal that struck her fancy.

Bio:

Yume was born the eldest child of the Furostomi family and was thus the heir to the Furostomi Electronics company, the world’s largest and most well respected producer of top-of-the line electronics, gadgets, and machines. Due to this, Yume grew up with her father’s expectations for greatness planted firmly on her shoulders. She attended the finest schools, received the best tutors, and when she took up archery to help with stress, then too she received the best craftsmanship money could find. For a time, life had a rhythm to it, it wasn't easy by any means but she found purpose in it.

Until the day things shifted.

When she was twelve, one day Yume woke up to a room full of snow. Fresh, beautiful, unmelted. Her maid was surprised, her parents concerned, her siblings ecstatic, and Yume simply felt an odd contentment.


As required, Yume transferred into a New Kyoto academy which catered to teaching magical girls how to control her powers.

Yume’s powers manifested at an early age, so she she spent most of her early life at the Magical Academy in New Kyoto City, learning and honing her abilities. In the life she could have lead, Yume was the oldest daughter of three, and the heir of Furostomi Electronics, Japan’s leading tech company. But that wasn't what fate held in store for her, and Yume knew it the day her powers lurched to the forefront.

As soon as she was old enough, against the wishes of her parents, Yume marched off to her local Doki-Doki Channel! office, and signed up as a magical girl. Few were born with magic, and it would not be correct for her to squander her gift. Her younger brother or sister could take over the company.

Her mother understood, her father did not.

It still makes for uncomfortable New Year's Eves dinners when the family all gets together.

Her rank has stagnated after her initial debut, for the same reason why many ice witches tend to freeze up in the ranks. While her offensive skills are many, Yume had poor defensive skills, and her body can't take as much of a beating as other witches with different alignments.]

Primary Power:
Her primary powers are centered around the ability to create and manipulate snow and ice. While she is able to create structures out of ice using only magic, her powers are far more potent when she is near bodies of water or during rainstorms when she can simply use surrounding water as a way to attack. Her ice is hard, her snow terribly cold, and her movesets versatile.

Secondary Power:
She can create an afterimage of herself using ice to absorb a blow and confuse the enemy as she tries to put distance between herself and the Grimm trying to have her for lunch. This afterimage cannot move or fight, and shatters easily when struck. It is only really useful for a sudden diversion.

Tertiary Skill:
Yume is well practiced in archery, and she often uses a bow and arrows created by her ice magics in combat.

Hyper Power:
Endless Blizzard:

Despite what the name might suggest, the Endless Blizzard is not really endless, it just might seemed that way if you are caught within it. Her hyper move is essentially a localized blizzard which pelts the area around her with shards of razor sharp ice, frozen winds, and snow, while thin lances of ice break through the ground below her opponent.

She cannot maintain this power for long, before she burns out, but she can maintain it for long enough. Not much survives the first few seconds.

Clutch Power:
Twilight Bow:
This skill runs off feelings of fear and panic. When she uses her Clutch Power, Yume draws in all surrounding negative emotions, and transforms that energy into a bow and a quiver of arrows. The more energy she draws in, the larger her quiver. The arrows have been known to tear through even the hardest Grimm hides and armors.
