Name: Ja'aal Doj

Race: Khajiit

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Personality: Ja'aal is a curios and quiet individual. He is a quick learner and generally learns a lot of things at once. However, no one really realizes that he learns these things as he is quiet and still when he learns. He isn't a bad person through and through, but he isn't a nice person either, calling him quite a prick wouldn't be too far off.

Equipment: A set of light leather armor, a steel dagger.

Skills: Good at sneaking; due to various reasons, deft hands.

Backstory: Ja'aal lived most of his life in Elswyer. He grew up like all other khajiit kids, but found himself some bad habits as he grew up. One of these habits was a talent of thievery, making him quite unpopular as no one could truly point fingers at him. One day however he was caught red handed. It was difficult, but eventually he lost the guards that chased after him. He had to leave his hometown if he didn't want to spend time in prison, which he certaintly didn't want.

After a while he got far enough away from his hometown that he felt safe, but his habits hadn't changed. And once again he got caught. This time he couldn't just run away from town as they put a bounty on him. Ja'aal decided to leave his homeland. A troubling and difficult journey for a lone teen, but he succeeded. And with time he had made his way to Cyrodiil, here he thought he could more easily make a living out of his talent. But he was mistaken. A heightened security was everywhere in the capital of the empire. And Ja'aal knew he had to move elsewhere.

Ja'aal made his way further to the north, and eventually fumbled into Skyrim. While the weather was considerably colder, the people here were more relaxed, meaning that Ja'aal had a better chance of making a living here. It didn't take long for him to hear of the thieves guild, but that wasn't somewhere he could go. Not because he didn't want to, but because Ja'aal wasn't much for taking the main roads. And he didn't know Skyrim well enough to be able to actually walk around the place and stumble into Riften.

But he did find Whiterun hold by following signs on the few roads he did cross. For about a year now Ja'aal has been standing in the shadows. Being a pickpocket when necessary, and brawled when necessary. It has come to the point where if he finds you at night, and really needs money, he doesn't care much for taking a life. He has lived almost half a life for himself, why start caring about random people now?

Appearance: Usually wears a common piece of clothing to blend in as much as possible, but he isn't afraid to wear a set of leather armor if he has to.

Race: Argonian

Age: Late 30s to early 40s.

Gender: Male

Personality: Death and betrayal is commonplace in my line of work, but I try to keep a relatively positive outlook.

Despite the dangers that Var-Hael has faced over the years, the man's outlook on life remains surprisingly optimistic. He does the best that he can and honors his contracts when given them, becoming excessively driven to complete his goals and get his pay.

He's charming, to say the least, and he uses this to his advantage when working with others or negotiating prices with merchants. His silver tongue has gotten him out of many a dire situations, and he prides himself in being a people-person.

When on the job as a mercenary or artifact hunter, the Argonian sticks to his tasks and completes them with brutal efficiency. He holds little respect for petty bandits and thieves, finding that organization leads to better success and efficiency.

Appearance:

Var-Hael is larger than the average Argonian, relatively toned in comparison to humans other species at 6 feet and 9 inches. His eyes are a muted blue and teal mix, and his horns are far more elongated than those of a common Argonian's; this is due to his superior age. They are sharpened in order to be used as weapons should the need arise.

Var-Hael dons a hand-crafted set of armor for combat situations and travel from place to place. Dwarven metal plates cover his shoulders and wrists, and leather pieces cover his torso and back.

Equipment:

Illusion books
Various compendiums on subjects and spells related to the Illusion school of magic are contained within the satchel he carries on his hip.

Dwarven war-axe
Using his above-average strength to his advantage, Var-Hael is able to weild a refurbished dwarven waraxe with deadly proficiency.

Dwarven mace
For when he needs to be a bit more agile.

Ebony claw
Taken from one of his various artifact-retrieval missions in Skyrim. Looks good on a mantle, but not good for much else, it seems. Not unless he was able to find the door it corresponds to.

Skills:

Var-Hael's bread and butter is the the retrieval of objects from ruins and dungeons. Seeing as Skyrim had plenty of these, the Argonian has stuck in the region for many years. There's always something missing that somebody's to scared to retrieve themselves. As a result of honing his craft, Var-Hael is knowledgable on various magical artifacts and equipment.

[] Illusion magic
Whether in use for speech-craft or sneaking into abandoned crypts, Illusion magic is a welcome boost for Var-Hael.

[] Charm
Var-Hael's silver tongue and quick wit has allowed him to extort many a different people for extra septims. A likable personality also aids in socializing and gaining favor with those he needs to.

Backstory:

Raised in Skyrim among an Argonian family at Windhelm, Var-Hael led a relatively boring life of a dockworker through his childhood until he was finally old enough to leave home and make a path for his own life. The books of adventuring heroes— particularly those on the Dragonborn and his magnificent exploits in the early fourth era— appealed to him greatly, so he took up work as a mercenary worker in order to see what the cold region of Tamriel had to offer.

Over the years, his knowledge of combat and the history of Skyrim allowed him to break off and work on his own time and conditions. He turned to artifact hunting and retrieval rather than mercenary work which resulted in a much higher hazard pay, which in turn net him more people that came to him with jobs to finish. Adventurers of his caliber were in short supply, it seemed, and Var-Hael welcomed the business.

"This Argonian can get you anything if the pay's good enough. Hell, the Draugr are scared of him."

"250 septims, and that's final."

The man before Var-Hael was a Nord, and a scrawny one at that. Compared to the usual cast of characters, the man before him was quite different; it was surprising [and impressive] that he was even able to make it down to the Ragged Flagon.

The Thieves' Guild was generous enough to grant him asylum in their headquarters, and the Mead was cheap enough to satisfy him. Because Maven Black-Briar still had Riften within her clutches, Var-Hael saw siding with them as a no-brainer. Besides, he was a welcome asset.

"250 septims, then. I'll see to it that the ring is returned to your possession."

The Argonian stood up from his chair and strode away from the table, heading towards the exit into the rat tunnels beside the Ragged Flagon.

"Oh— one last thing," The Nord called out. Var-Hael turned back to his paying customer, raising a ridged eyebrow.

"Keep your distance."

The ring was returned without much effort. Taking it, however, was a different story; the bastards who had it in their possession put up quite the fight, and while he did heed the Nord's words and use range to his advantage, he couldn't help but get up-close and personal in a cramped cave. He received his payment and promptly spent it, deciding to head to Whiterun in order to get some actually drinkable alcohol at the Bannered Mare.

The trip had taken nearly a day; the sickness he felt within his gut was dismissed, and the strain from the sunlight was thought to be from the journey from Riften.

Personality: ‘There is no good nor bad. The one thing that is certain in this world is that we do what we want to make ourselves feel accomplished’ This is what Tobias has lived by since he was a kid.

Tobias, like other nords, was a very proud man, he also took great joy in knowing his heritage and was willing to fight to the death to prove his honor. However; Tobias was very different nord. Tobias would rather stay in the shadow than to fight head on, and would rather wield two sturdy daggers instead of double handed brute sword.
He has a very blunt vocabulary. He chooses not to think on his words but would rather say what is on his mind. Tobias loves to use words to get drunken men to pull a blade against him. Yes, it could be said that Tobias would go to extreme lengths to spill the blood of another. Only two things could ever rival Tobias’ thirst for blood: Sex and Money. Tobias is one of those rare few who would do almost anything for a cold septim, but he will also go the great lengths in order to make sure that he is a well kept man.

Appearance: Standing at 5'11, Tobias isn’t very tall for a nord male. However; Tobias could be considered to have a slightly more cut muscle appearance. His eyes are the shade of an icy ocean, and his hair has the appearance of dirty blonde when in reality, it is a light blonde. Tobias also has a rigid car that cuts through his face and over his nose.
Tobias wears a simple worn leather light armor that has a dark green hood attached to it’s back. Tobias wears nothing but a worn peasant’s outfit underneath his armor. Attached to both sides of his mind abdomen are his trusty ebony daggers.

Equipment:
Daggers: Tobias carries two ebony daggers that he stole from the room of a nobleman's daughter after her seventeenth birthday.
Amulet of Talos: Tobias does not have any faith in the nine, but he does carry the amulet of Talos that has been secretly passed down through his family for generations.
Tales of lusty argonian maid: Tobias carries this for obvious reasons.
Lockpicks: Tobias carries three lockpicks with him at all times because of loves to loom through the personal belongings of others.

Skills: Lock picking: Tobias has became one of the greatest pickers of locks in all of skyrim. He learned this craft simply through experience. How else would he have gotten into so many bedrooms?
Sneaking: Tobias has also became very agile on his feet. He uses this skill to acquire his fill of drink.
Blade handling: Used to impress the locals or even to sabotage his enemies. Tobias is natural swiftness when it comes to small blade. He can accurately stab someone with suck a quick movement that the person he stabbed will never know that they got stabbed. He is also skilled at accurately throwing his daggers within a short range.

Backstory: Tobias was born and raised in the great city of Riften. Tobias belonged to the man and women who worked the local tavern, and he enjoyed talking to all the people who would come in for a drink. Tobias was raised up like any nord boys. Taught how to fight, to be a soldier, to be a drinker. Tobias was taught about Talos and how to bee a good servant to him so that he would one day be taken to sovengarde. Yes, Tobias was a normal nord boy but that was just when he was a boy. Tobias quickly grew up with his sister and 7 brothers. He eventually became a dark man on the inside; However; none of his family saw it until it was too late. Tobias was 15 when he went to the river outside of ridden and that is where everything changed. His twin sister was there and she was with a man. Tobias found them and threw him off of his sister. Tobias threw the man into the river and started to drown him…but his sister had to get in the way. She had to save the worthless boy…so Tobias grabbed her a drowned her as well. Tobias thought that he would feel something other than pure ecstasy. Tobias fled his home town where he joined a mercenary group. This group wondered northwest toward whiterun, where Tobias left the group to work at the local blacksmith and settled down with a new woman every night. Tobias was fearful that his family would find him, but they never came.

Oh, I'm not like The Flash at all. Some would say I'm the Reverse

Personality:"To hunt successfully, you must know your ground, your pack, and your quarry"

Alara is a generally solitary woman, she enjoys the peace and tranquility of living in her woods without the filth that accompanies any city. Of course that does not mean she wishes to be alone, she simply enjoys times where all she can hear is nature around her. She tends to be more closed off to new people, but those with the right charm and willingness to ease her out of her comfort zone can draw out the sparkling spirit within.

In her true heart, she loves adventure, part of the reason she loves to live without a true home, but simply stay in the woods, moving from place to place. Hunting, tracking, swimming in the river, that is when she feels most free.

Appearance:

Alara is just short of six feet tall with the very gently sun-kissed skin that most Bosmer posses, along with the pointed ears. Her eyes are a soft hazel in color that seem to often radiate warmth and excitement. Unless she wears her hood up, she tends to stand out in a crowd as she dyes the lower six inches of her hair a deep red with berries she picks.
She is most often seen wearing a simple homespun cloak around her body, which conceals her bow, quiver, and especially her armor. Beneath the cloak however, when she is alone in the woods, she wears a type of leather armor that she hand fashioned and plated with magic enhanced bark from the forest's trees that allows for some light blade protection without inhibiting her movements.

Equipment:
-Elven Bow and Arrows-
The only remains from her parents she still carries, Alara has her mother's bow and a quiver of 30 arrows that she is never without. She knows how to fashion her own arrows, but the bow is irreplaceable to her.

-Steel Dagger-
Not carried for people, her dagger is most often used to finish a hunt, and take the spoils. She keeps it very sharp, and despite it's intended use, she would not hesitate to use it against an attacker.

-Restoration tomes-
Not normally carried on her person, but always kept in her pack when she moves camps, these books help her to keep her magic sharp.

Skills:
-Practiced Archer-
As a wood elf, and a girl who has held a bow in hand, nearly since birth, Alara has yet to find a match for her in the realm of archery, but she constantly seeks improvement.

-Hunter and tracker-
Practiced in most forms of woodcraft, she can keep herself and a small number of people alive in the woods, almost indefinitely.

-Restoration Magic-
Having seen her first tomes in a hold's market, she used the fruits of her hunts to buy them, and learn some simple restoration magics to heal herself and others.

Backstory: Alara doesn't have a single memory of her true homelands, as far as she can remember, she has lived in Skyrim and considers it her true home. Her parents raised her there, teaching her what they knew about survival, and living with her in the woods. They were quite old when they brought her to the country and died when she was 16. She buried them, then moved a ways into the woods near Whiterun, but enters the city proper only to trade and sell. She spends most of her time hunting or with her companion Sindari, and elk that her elvish gift allowed her to befriend.

Personality: When she can be seen, Colana is fairly charming, frequently using flattery and her unassuming appearance to avoid trouble. She isn't above breaking the law, although she has a certain code of honour when she does it. Colana refuses to involve other people outside of her mark and has a soft spot for the homeless, being sure to give them septims wherever possible.

Colana is 5' 1", with a mildly athletic build from her time performing and doing deliveries. She prefers to wear a grey shirt, with laced leather pants and leather boots. They allow for easily and free mobility, helping her in her shows and during her jobs in the Imperial City (whilst she had them).

Equipment:

- Lockpicks

- Amulet of Kyraneth

- A steel dagger

Skills: Athletics, Acrobatics, Persuasion

Backstory: Colana grew up in the Imperial City Waterfront, the daughter of an acrobat and a passing rogue. Much like her mother Colana found a natural skill in acrobatics, with her nimble feet earning her money as a performer on the street. She also developed a skill in speech, saying exactly what she needed to her audience in order to push as many septims as possible out of them. Colana also got into the habit of giving some of her money to the homeless of the Imperial City, believing that it added to the sense of community she felt amongst the people of the waterfront. This eventually caught the attention of the Thieves' Guild in the Imperial City, who would offer her work scouting out potential targets, using her agility to find points of infiltration that are far beyond the reach of the Imperial Guard. Colana's mother eventually passed away from a wither infection, leading to Colana leaving the city and heading for Skyrim to find a new life. Eventually she found her way into Whiterun, continuing her acrobatics performances there.
