Athairne of the Wilds

A dark-red haired Fae of mixed heritage, his father having been a Satyr, and his mother, a noble Sidhe woman. He stands at a proper 6'5" tall, with a lean yet fair build that gives him a Princely air. His skin is pale and glistening with what seems to be the hints of a light frost, with amber eyes that glow with the magic of his mothers side, though upon his head are two horns that grow out to about 5 inches in length, a dark brown with light boney ridges.

His hair reaches down to his back and has a considerable rate of waves to every strand, and Athairne thus keeps half of it up in a bun behind him to save himself some of the volume. His facial features are angular, yet none to intrusive upon the eyes ; Like all of his kind he maintains a fair disposition, welcoming if not handsome as his season of Autumn demands. His ears are pierced with many light dangling gems and earthy metals, and he wears a dark green, golden embroided tunic with a white long-sleeved blouse underneath, paired with dark brown trousers and flexible leather boots.

He wears many interesting necklaces from the many years of his travels, along with a variety of bracelets and belts that nearly verge upon that of a tacky level of layers, though his most well-known feature that picks him out of a crowd is his long brown coat rimmed with many beautiful fall leaves, ranging from brilliant oranges and yellows to dark and crispy reds and browns. The length of his cloak itself is made of the hide of a wild boar, taken during one of his hunts when too many a beast tempted the predators of the forests with too much abundance.

Skills, Attributes and Traits :

Athairne is known for being both a talented bard as well as an ample hunter, and over his young yet capable age of 345 years, he has developed a variety of talents and spells to aid him in his duty of assisting with the harvests and restoring hunts of falltime. He carries with him a beautifully crafted enchanted lute, which he uses to perform songs of healing and magic-boosting tunes for he and his friends in time of need.

For combat, he is often scene wielding a short-sword blessed with the magic of his mother, capable of delivering a painful weeping sting that tears into the heart of his enemy, overwhelming them with a great sorrow. He is not the worlds best swordsman however, preferring the art of archery and the vast amount of elemental spells he has placed upon his arrows, ranging from fire to ice, lightning to root-summoning earth. His bow is moderate in size, neither small enough to be considered a short-bow, nor large enough to be considered a long-bow, and thus gives him the versatility he requires when at a distance.

Weaknesses :

Though and excellent archer and a useful bard, Athairne is no mass warlock, nor is he a war-born warrior. His value comes in his ability to adapt enough to any situation that he can make it through with the vast arsenal of skills he has acquired over time. He cannot send forth furies of magical might and energy like some of the other nobles of his court can, nor would he do well with just his blade in his hand against a champion Knight. He is a jack of all trades and a master of none, though he would like you to believe he is most certainly the most seasoned of his kind! Like all Fae, he holds the limits and weaknesses that his kin hold close to their souls.

Personality :

Well, you will just have to find out!

Aibreann (Av-rawn) Lochchild

Image

She is the tan of a faun's fresh coat, with cheeks marked by a mirthful, verdant hue. Pale yellow hair, the color of sunshine on a clouded day, falls in thin sweeps over back and face to just below her hips. Green tints this as well, the works of mossing in between the strands. A lilypad perches on her head. The edges of the leaf droop over the crown of her head like a hat, but beyond that, one would be hard-pressed to tell if it were hat at all. Her hair blends seamlessly with the plant, and a sizable flower in the pad's center seems to mimic Aibreann's affections. Anger makes it flare and shudder, passion and joy bloom, fright shrivel up to a blackened bud.

All in all, she stands just below five feet, and is slender enough to be called skeletal. In fact, her fingers might go so far to be called froglike, if for the lack of webbing and her long, pearly nails. Her face is cherubic, with heartshaped cheeks and large, sea-deep eyes. Some might call it cute. That is, until she opens her mouth, revealing tight rows of needled teeth. "The better to sup with," she'd say with a smile.

For clothes, she garbs herself simply, in a sleeveless dress of lace and silk. Once, it may have been white, but it now has the same mossy growth as her hair. Two thin straps hold it to her shoulders, criss-crossing down her back in an intricate lattice. Beyond this, she wears nothing else, relishing the freedom of openness. Most of all, she despises footwear, refusing to even touch socks and shoes without a recoiling hiss.

Skills, Attributes, and Traits:

Aibreann is a peerless swimmer, and in many ways seems more at home in the water than on land. While her motions outside may seem awkward and gawky, in the water she has all the grace of a water spirit (to the point where some may wonder if nereid or selkie blood runs in her veins). She is also incredibly accomplished illusionist, able to wrap glamours through speech and sight so well one might expect to be able to touch it. Perhaps one of the oddest traits of this little fae is her complete and total tolerance to any sort of intoxicants. She is able to get drunk if she chooses, but can sober at will, and is unaffected by poisons or illness, even those strong or arcane enough to harm a typical fae.

Weaknesses:

Despite her strength, her frame is fragile, bones light and easy to break. She despises the cold, and will slow in speed the lower the temperature drops. Her eyesight, wired for daytime, is sensitive to fast changes, and may have a very difficult time adapting to low-light conditions. Outside of water, her movements are somewhat ungainly, though she is able to maintain a good degree of speed in either element. I mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: Do not place shoes near her if you value your life.

Personality:

Biting is kinky for everyone, most just haven't realized it yet.

The Lineage of Lí Ban:

Also called Daughters of Lí Ban, River Daughters (iníonacha na habhann), and Water Guardians.

Believed to be distantly related to merrow and naiads, the river daughters are guardian spirits for bodies of water. Unlike their counterparts, they are not tied to distinct locations, but instead freely roam, flowing with the currents they protect. In particular, their domain is connected to the movement of Atlantic salmon and other migratory fish upstream in the early year. They are said to watch over the spawn, help them hatch, and keep them safe from predators in their voyage back out to the ocean.

They tend to be incredibly carefree in personality, and delight in mischief, similar to brounies in Scottish belief. Brounies delight in aiding humans, and it is here the river daughters differ; they avoid human contact altogether, and in the rare cases they do interact, they will be ornerily suspicious of the human's intent for their precious lakes and rivers. It's not uncommon for a fisherman to pull a tattered heap back where a net once was, or to encounter illusory mists and ghastly wails when sailing on a guarded loch.

Nessa, the Lady of the Blossoming Wilds

Tall, regal, proud. A true powerhouse of the Seelie courts, Nessa is outranked only by the Queen's inner circle themselves. She is tall, even by aos sí standards, rising to an imposing height of 6'9. Her hair, thick and green as jungle vines, ride in a tangle down her back. Different kinds of flowers speckle it in droves. She has a strong physique, with broad shoulders and sinewy limbs, and a thick jaw one might call royal. In fact, if an unfortunate stranger did not know Titania, they could easily assume Nessa the ruler of the Suntide court. Her composure would not deny this, in its haughty, graceful airs that take their own motions more grave than their mother's death.

Her eyes, almond-shaped and slanted, are a rich mahogany in hue, and are cut with various shades of green in cracks around the pupils. They convey far more emotion than her oft calm tone, and are said to be able to set men ablaze with a narrow. Her aquiline nose overhangs full, thick lips, and gaunt cheekbones sharp enough to kill rest to either side. Though her voice is quiet, it carries well, and could silence a room with a single word.

Nessa changes garb to suit her whims, but more often than not will choose vibrant hues that clash brilliantly with her bronze skin. Reds, yellows, oranges, pinks, blues, all the colors of flowers in bloom, the thing she holds most dear.

Skills, Attributes, and Traits:

Drayish - Nessa is the ipso facto leader of the Summer nymphs and fauns, and as such, commands a great deal of respect among them. Fae of the forest act fast to do her bidding, and will defend both her name and honor with great vehemence.

Wild Growth - All around her, plants thrive and bloom, given vigorous life through her aura. This can be directed and amplified at will, but will work as a passive effect as well. Her footprints leave wildflowers in their wake, her breath gives dying flora color. This power is influenced largely by her emotional state, and can go out of control if her temper is stoked.

Weaknesses:

Personality:

Mooove, bish, get outta my way.
