Soo,I am liking what I'm reading so far of your rpg, Thought it might be fun for your Sith to be hunted by more than just Jedi...Let me know if you guys like this crazy fucker or not!
and something from his "youth"or at least before the food and booze
Name: Darth Rynar (Call him this and he’ll kill you though) Im’pec “Hound of the emperor”
Age: unknown, believed to have served at the right hand of Marka Ragnos himself, probably rumor but he doesn’t deny it. Serves as the personal hunter of the Emperor.
Race: Bastard born of an ancient Sith lord who counted among his blood the human Dark Jedi which enslaved his ancestors and anything else they could take as a war prize and rape. He believes he’s mostly of human and Sith stock, but he doesn’t really care about his genealogy. He’s the Emperors Mutt, his mastiff as he proudly calls himself.
Occupation: Dark Lord of the Sith, The Emperors personal hunter. Titled “Hound of the Vitiate”
Alignment: chaotic evil.
Height: nine feet, four inches
Weight: 600 kilos thereabouts (he needs to lose weight)
Appearance: It is said of Darth Rynar that he has more in common with a hunting hound than a man. But those who behold him often compare him to a greater Krayt Dragon. Massive shoulders frame a chest that looks like it could double as a mighty wall, his body a bastion of muscle mass, battles cars and fat sets upon two mighty trees that might be confused for legs. A thick mane of dark black hair which is threaded with trinkets, bones, relics and trophies from battles past frames a face that might have once been handsome (and might still be called it by some). Piercing, orange gemstone like eyes shimmer from the peak of this sentient leviathan and a beard as wild and thick as his hair falls about alchemically enhanced leather armor (Fashioned from the flesh of an Arkanian Dragon he killed and enchanted with Sith sorcery to be resistant to lightsabers and blaster bolts to an extent) and mail made of a plasteel-Mandalorian alloy that holds in what many confuse for an immense beer belly laden with years of indolence and drink. (In truth; does have a layer of fat, but it’s mostly muscle. Man doesn’t have a six pack but a keg). His belt is a thick mass of hardened leather and silk, affixed with the Aurodium gilded skull of some long extinct species of serpent’s native to Ziost. Except for his right hand (which is a Sith Sorcery enhanced robotic arm that shimmers silvery), he’s covered from head to toe in leather and armor. The cloak he dons, is not a typical Sith cloak but a great cape that falls about his body, woven with alchemy it shields from heat and cold offers some protection in battle (can repair itself) and about his mighty shoulders rests the fur of a Wookie Jedi he slew in combat a century prior. Wild, bestial and brutal he conjures an image of a bygone era, of the time when the Sith ruled in a golden age, when they were not utterly consumed by blind ambition. A living relic, his presence is rare yet when it’s seen it is feared by Jedi and Sith alike.
Personality: in a word? Relentless. Im’pec the hound has served the Emperor (and perhaps even prior to that, his processor) his entire life. A creature spawned of rape, alchemy, blood sacrifices and nearly forgotten Sith art, one might be forgiven for thinking he is a living weapon of some bygone age. The extent of the truth of that, is something he’s more than happy to let others speculate upon. Given the title “Darth Rynar” at the Vitiates insistence (as he felt the new forms needed to be obeyed even by his relics), he has a disdain for the culture the Sith have raised up, viewing it as blind, dumb and self-destructive. However, he is no patriot and thus doesn’t give a kriff if the Empire crumbles or endures until the stars burn out. No, his only loyalty is to the Emperor and to glorious combat. Im’pec loves battle, his only reason to exist is the thrill of a great hunt and an even greater battle. Known to sleep sometimes for decades simply due to a lack of stimulation, some mistake his simple hobbies and simple indulgences as a mark for lacking intelligence. Nothing could be further from the truth, in the Golden age he was a great lord, engaged in the intrigue and battles of wits, the court politics and maneuvers. He simply, withdrew into his role as the Emperors Hound as Sith Court grew smaller, and pettier and weaker. Possessing of an odd code of honor he’s been known to spare prey that proves themselves worth sparing (why the Emperor permits this is a mystery) other times, he’s ruthless and animalistic in his brutality. He hunts, hunts and hunts. In an odd contradiction, he loves a good woman, enjoys the company of Mandalorians and soldiers from both sides of the conflict and is prone to drinking (in fact, he’s a functional alcoholic not that anyone dares mock him to his face about it.) His love of boozing is so legendary, he’s gotten psychosomatically drunk off an enemy’s blood. His knowledge of Sith history and its relics, secrets and magics is as vast as a library even if he has nothing but contempt and disdain for it. After centuries of serving as the Emperors Huntsman he’s faced some of the darkest things in the known universe, things even the rest of the Sith couldn’t even dream of ( in deep space, he faced a colony of Yuzhan Vong and exterminated them all during the golden age and with his emperor put to rest she who is chained to name a few). This has made him rather lax, instead of a fearful or broken man, the jolly, if completely mad laughter of the Hound is oft heard in battlefields. He no longer fears death, no longer fears much of anything, for a Sith, this can be a problem.
Powers: Due either to the nature of the rituals performed on him as a child or a quirk of his breeding, Darth Rynar is essentially a sink for force energy. His body devours and sustains itself through the force, making him extremely quick to heal and resistant to esoteric force powers. His resistance to force lightning is rather legendary in that regard, he seems to enjoy the “taste of it”. The downside to this is that he can sometimes be overloaded, forced to withdraw, his body tends to fall into a deep slumber then which can last lifetimes. He lacks much in the way of skill with any kind of telekinetic powers and cannot generate force lightning due to the nature of his being. The energies he calls upon, reinforce muscle and bone, turning him into a relentless force of raw strength. This has its up and downs as he can’t really do anything typically “sith like”, while it makes him a living nightmare for most force users, it also limits his abilities. He’s a tank, a juggernaut and a brawler. Not a sorcerer or mystic. The one esoteric ability he does possess, is more a side effect of his physiology. He can dispel illusions and other kinds of wards as his body “feeds” on the force power behind them. Which makes him a nightmare to mentally invade, control or deceive.
Basically, he’s a blunt instrument.
Skills: Master tracker, Lightsaber combatant and hand to hand fighter. Skilled in the use of blades, both plasma and plasteel, able to wield almost anything put in his hands. Possesses a great deal of knowledge on the arcane arts by virtue of being sent to hunt down and kill so many force using alchemists and “mystics” but can’t apply this knowledge. Is a surprisingly talented painter.
Equipment: Two daggers forged of Mandalorian iron with matching Krayt Dragon fang handles. A sith enhanced sword known as Starbreaker. Made of Song steel and alchemically molded and enhanced, adorned in runes that seemed to shift and change their structure and syntax and sheathed in a black scabbard, it is said to glow with a deep indigo when it challenges a Lightsaber, shuddering and almost growling in anticipation. (Atop the pommel is an indigo lightsaber crystal taken from the Battle Master of the Jedi order two centuries prior). Starbreaker was said to have been forged at the request of Marka Ragnos himself and contains the spirits of two Jedi ritualistically sacrificed to give the sword its power. Or so it is said.
Biography: An alchemical monstrosity? A demon from chaos itself conjured by Marka Ragnos or the Vitiate? An immortal monster? Or just one lunatic of many to bear the title the Hound of the Vitiate none truly know. Both the Dark Council and The Jedi themselves have speculated endlessly about the true nature of the mysterious being sometimes referred too as Darth Rynar and other times known as Im’pec the Hound. The truth likely remains in the middle of all the nonsense. The bastard born son of a powerful noble of the old Sith Empire Im’pec was nameless, discarded and given over to the masters of alchemy who in their fashion often use unwanted babies for their own ends (they make great catalysts for complex spells). However, one of them noticed something odd about the little flailing infant. It appeared as if the force itself “fell inward” around his being, as though his presence was some sort of great syphon. Their dark curiosities piqued, the twisted masters wrought ever more twisted spells upon him, molding flesh and bone, intellect and sight. Warping this neglected mutt and its twisted ability until boyhood and the evolution of his abilities made that all but impossible. Enhanced beyond its natural confines, they soon realized the silent, brooding child was too risky to keep as a simple guinea pig any more and decided to put an end to it. At first, they attempted to use conventional methods, blasters, poison gas. A body that seemed to sustain itself on the force, survived and endured and orange eyes grew ever more hate filled. Eventually chimeras were sent in, they too failed and in a last act of contemptuous frustration an older alchemist entered the cage and was promptly beaten to death. Any attempts to keep the cage shut were met with failure and the raging boy spoke for the first time, to insult their mothers and then threaten to feast on their hearts.
Which he promptly did before running naked and blood covered through the streets of Ziost only to be captured by stronger, more capable Sith and brought before the new King. Historical accounts might differ and anyone who has asked the hound what transpired has been savagely beaten. Perhaps it was a meeting of two predators, perhaps Ragnos being the monster that he was bent the boy to his will but soon, the boy was inducted into the new leader’s retinue. Over the next several years he would rise through the ranks and become the newest Hound, a job he would keep long after Ragnos’ death and the collapse of the Sith Empire. Outliving Exar Kun and Naga Sadow, vanishing
From history, to serve the Vitiate in that same capacity for ages to come. From Jedi to Sith, to creatures mysterious and terrifying to different and stranger force using orders the Hound has claimed trophies from them all. Hunting down and facing terrible enemies all in the name of his master though in truth, born out of his dark lust for combat, his love of the hunt and his drive to find a warrior great enough to slay him, an opposite in the light.
Though technically outside of the authority of the Dark council, answering to the Emperor himself he cannot simple overrule or override orders from those within the Dark Council unless those orders conflict with his mission, they have no authority over him, yet he has none over them unless he deems them to be a threat to the Emperors agenda (It also hasn’t stopped him from killing high ranking Sith Lords out of contempt or boredom in the past, though rare as that is) there is a great deal of dislike among the Sith hierarchy for him. He’s seen as an insane drunk with no respect for their traditions and norms, a violent lunatic and a needless relic. For his part, he dismisses them as pathetic fools and stays out of their way unless need compels him to act.
Once Battled a pregnant Satele Shan on Kamino in the middle of one of the worst hurricanes in the planet’s history. The duel which lasted nearly two hours was called the war of the storm and though both were grievously wounded (Theron Shan was born due to the stress of the fight and the injuries she received), he did manage to kill his intended target. Grand Master Shan’s detractors in the Jedi order would later spread a rumor that she sacrificed Theron’s force abilities to gain the strength she needed to defeat him (and secure her position on the high council).
Current reasons for being active, unknown. Given his proximity to the Vitiate though, its possible he knows more about the eternal empire than any.
