Personality:
Kiyomi is a fairly easy-going girl, quick with a friendly smile or a willingness to help another out if asked. She had a streak of hopeless optimism to her actions, better to live her life as if nothing is impossible than to exist knowing there are certain things she could never change. She isn't easily deterred if a particular idea catches in her mind or something peculiar stick out to her eye. She also has a mischievous streak in how she acts, she will happily play a harmless prank or two if it seems like the outcome would be amusing. She is hard to anger, but tends to hold grudges against those who tick her off.

Biography:

The hard sidewalk crunched and crackled under nail as the beast lumbered forward, concrete parted as if it were only sand. The air had a certain metallic tang to it, a harsh and heavy smell which caused the fog which clouded her mind to squirm. The beast’s eyes were the rich golden-yellow and shined like dying lightbulbs. It's mouth hung open, a long slender tongue stained red hung out from between two crooked teeth.

Kiyomi found herself frozen in place, her hands pressed firmly against the hole in the other girl’s arm which still leaked blood. The magical girl’s eyes twitched under her eyelids, in quick skittish movements. Kiyomi wanted to shake the girl, plead with her to awaken and to slay the beast, but instead her vocal cords remained still, her body unmoving.

She heard her name, drifting above the chaotic clamor from the panicked crowd as if fled, and somewhere in the back of her clouded mind, Kiyomi felt something snap. Dull senses buzzed to life as a litany of senses washed into her mind. Slick blood on smooth skin, the way the sun glinted dully off the the boney patches which covered the Grimm’s body, the feeling of her own heart beating against her ribcage.

It was like a reflex more than anything. The Grimm ambled close and Kiyomi’s hand snapped up in the same way the magical girl’s had. Magic crackled on the tips of her fingers, warmth slithered down her arm and a bolt of light twisted out and away from her hand, jittering in odd broken movements before finally connecting with the center of the Grimm’s head. The beast squawked, and staggered to its left in wide lumbering steps. A different bolt escaped Kiyomi’s fingers, and the world vanished in a buzz of color and sound.

Primary Power:
Negative Echo:
With a touch Kiyomi can replicate the inverse of the magics of whoever it is that she last touched, be they a witch or Grimm. Fire becomes ice, light to darkness, sound to silence. The replication is a perfect inverse of the original magics, and acts as the other magic does only with the base properties changed to the opposite.

Reverberation:
From sight or memory, Kiyomi can replicate any magics which have been used around her. This replication is imperfect, the magics often weaker or slanted in some way which keeps them from being a perfect Echo of the original magic.

Secondary Power:
Lingering Echo:
Kiyomi can feel lingering traces of magic which have been recently used in a space. She can read these lingering traces and often review or get a general idea of what had transpired.

Tertiary Skill:
Kiyomi is very good at impressions, and can almost perfectly replicate any voice as well as many different sound effects and noises.

Hyper Power:
Chorus of Echoes:
Kiyomi draws herself all magic being used in the immediate area, no matter the source or original target. She then amplifies the magics before sending them out as a wave, a process she can repeat multiple times to strengthen the power of her attack. The more time she “bounces” this attack or folds more magics into it, the higher her chances of being harmed by the attack, and how painful the aftereffects could be potentially be.

Clutch Power:
Photonegative
From the ground beneath her feet and sliding outwards away for about fifteen yards a reflective substance flows, forming a circle. Photonegative versions of every living being reflected in the polished surface will crawl from the still surface of the mirror to fight for Kiyomi. The powers of every witch or Grimm caught in the reflection, will be the opposite in the photonegative clones. When slain, the clones will crumple into shards of glass before eventually dissipating once the spell has ended.

Appearance:
Kiyomi stands at five foot seven inches, and is an average weight for her size. She has fairly thin shoulders which are sharply angled with equally thin arm and fingers. Her hips are rounded, her waist slim, legs long and smooth, and her bust on the heavier side of average.

The features of her face are generally soft, a heart shaped face, her jaw line smooth, her chin pointed and her nose small and sharp. Her eyes are an easy gray, but the hue shifts to take on a color similar to the eye color of the last person she touched if that person had a power. Her lips a full, and a rich red in color. Her hair is straight and black usually kept loose.

Personality:
Kaiko is a fairly hard person to get a read on. She often doesn't react much, and often what she does react to is met with a measure of sarcasm and vague annoyance. She tends to be cynical, and to expect for the worst to happen and approaches most people with a measure of doubt towards their intentions. It is possible to get her to open up to you however, and to close friends, what few that she deems to be such, she tends to be quite talkative and quick with a seemingly out of place joke or two. She isn’t great with the whole, people thing, and tends to leave public relations to her partner.

Kaiko loves metal music, and it is one of the few times you can catch her smiling when she has her earbuds plugged in.

Biography:
Kaiko was born in Tokyo, during the height of the Grimm’s emergence, as the beasts first swept through the city. The hospital she drew her first breath in still bears the claw marks of the Grimm who had done all the could to break down the doors, and the bullet holes of the police officers who had given their lives the drive the monsters away. For as long as she could remember, the great wall of metal and stone had always surrounded Tokyo, and the American Quarantine Zone, for a time the only thing which kept Tokyo succumbing, which surrounded the great city never seemed odd to her. One of her first memories was of a witch saving a group of Japanese Defense Forces who had bitten off more than they could chew. Kaiko could still feel the way that the crowd had cheered when the witch had done something with only a flick of her arm, that those men couldn’t do with a pile of spent brass,

Kill the monster.

She remembers the first time the DDC had broadcasted, every TV had been tuned to the station as they broadcasted a Magical Girl’s battle against the Grimm live. The brilliant colors of the spells are still burned into her mind as she drove the Grimm back away from the wall and back into the forests surrounding Tokyo.

Her powers manifested at the age of eight, as spots on her arm where stone started to grow. Her parents, understandably, were quite surprised when they found rocks growing on their daughter and rushed her off to the hospital. A few tests later, and the doctors released her, and recommended that her parents send her to one of the newly formed magical academies. Kaiko spent many years of her life in the Tokyo witch academy, but after she turned fourteen she started to get an idea of what she wished to do with her life. She wanted to become a Magical Girl. It took her some time to convince her parents, but eventually they relented and she transferred to the New Kyoto academy to be closer to the Doki-Doki Channel! corporate hub.

Primary Power:
Stone Skin
When Kaiko transforms, her body becomes encased in an armor of rock which protects her from harm, and increases many of her physical attributes. If attacks are concentrated enough the rock can be broken, but new rock will begin to regrow over any hole in the armor as soon as it forms, but this regrowth is fairly slow, and major breaches could take up to a minute. Despite her surge of strength however, while she is in this state her speed is greatly reduced.

Secondary Power:
Fracture
Kaiko can break off portions of her rock armor, and forcefully eject it into an enemy who is standing at a distance. Much like when portions are broken off during combat, holes formed by this attack slowly start to regrow.

Tertiary Skill:
She knows a lot about rocks and the different hardnesses that each type of rock has.

Hyper Power:
Resolute Golem
Kaiko’s stone armor separates itself from her body and moves on its own. The Golem is much faster and stronger when it is separated, and acts as an extension of Kaiko’s will, though it can act on its own should its master be incapacitated. If Kaiko is knocked out then the Golem will turn defensive and attempt to protect its mistress until help can arrive or until it is too damaged to continue.

While outside of her armor, Kaiko can move much quicker and she can summon forth blasts of sand. On certain points along her body shards of stone grow which she can fire at the enemy as a projectile, which regrow over time.

Clutch Power:
Sandstorm
In a move of desperation Kaiko can whip up a violent storm of sand and fragments of stone. She can use this to cover an escape by blinding her opponent with a torrent of sand and grit, or claw into their flesh with a relentless barrage of high velocity stone.

Personality:
Curious might be a good way to describe her, always wanting to learn something new or take a path less beaten. Sure that often leads her down some really dark alleyways, in some sketchy parts of the city, but curiosity killed the cat, and Akane knew that she was no cat. She isn't the type to skitter away from trouble, to hide away for fear of what could, better to face the reality of a situation then edge away. So, more than curious, bold. The type to cut a new trail through a twisted old forest, if only to see a copse of ancient snags.

If you already know what lies along the trail to grandmother’s house, then why bother to follow the same path twice?

Biography:
Age seven

“Come back!”

Her short legs carried her down a short rolling hill, like the undulation of the deep sea which she could watch from her bedroom window, molded out of dirt. The little light wiggled, as if beckoning her to follow, and Akane was more than happy to oblige. It was an adventure! Try to catch the little light before it flittered away again, or maybe follow it to some hidden treasure! That would be neat.

Her journey stalled once she reached the forest’s edge. She wasn't scared of the forest beyond, other kids were, adults were, but she wasn't. Everyone says that the monsters that the magical girls on TV always fought owned the woods. So, Akane’s mother had made her promise to never enter the woods. So, in the shade of a tall, spindly oak she stood, her eyes focused on the wisp of silver as it bobbed in the air, humming a wordless tune. Waiting.

Well, if she didn't go too far in, mommy would never know. Right?

Tentative, Akane crept to the edge of the forest, and as if scared it might bite, she poked a clump of leaf litter with her toe. She flinched, almost expecting to hear her mother’s voice yelling at her, ordering her to step away. No such voice came, and instead the orb zipped away, humming. With a sheepish grin, Akane followed.




“How long are we talking?” A male voice drifted between the trees, causing Akane to reflexively slowed to a trot. Curiosity perked her ears, pulled her attention away from the wisp.

“Four months would be my best guess.” This voice was female, sharp. “Clearing would be the hardest part, Grimm won't be happy losing territory.”

“Can't avoid that. You and yours will have to stick close to the work crews.” The male voice trickled through the trees. The humming orb floated past her.

“No! Stop!” Akane hissed instinctually, as the reached for the orb of light. She only managed to disturb the air just behind the orb as it continued to float on. Akane stepped past her tree, and tried again to catch the wisp before it gave her position away.

“What was that?” With a little gasp, Akane froze in place.

“I'll check it, stay here.” The woman’s voice came, low, like when her mom was angry. Akane found herself frozen in place as the wisp continued to float towards the two voices. Humming. Her eyes wide. A woman in a dress which flickered like midnight stepped around a tree. Akane tried to slink back behind a tree, but her legs wouldn't work. Her eyes met with the woman's.

“A little girl?” The woman said, as the wisp drifted past her head.

Golden-Honey Wolf
“My, what sharp claws you have…”

A passive power, which begins when she transforms and remains until she ceases to use her magics. While transformed, her senses of hearing, smell, and touch are all heightened. She could smell the sweet fragrance of grandma’s home cooking from a block away, hear faint scratch of Grimm claws against concrete tiles or feel the barest whisper of fingers trailing across her skin. This stage also sharpens her reflexes and agility, as well as increases her strength. She can go toe to toe, claw to claw with most Grimm when most witches need to fight from afar.

Speaking of claws, while transformed each of her fingers and thumbs gain an inch long nail, tough as iron and sharp like a well maintained knife. These nails can be extended and retracted as needed. Her teeth too undergo a change, her canine teeth lengthening and sharpening. But, you know, who wants to bite a Grimm?

She also gains a pair of wolf ears on the top of her head, and a tail. Both of which are soft and fluffy, though this serves no combat practicality, it is a fun fact.

Secondary Power:
Moonlit Wisps
Why, what bright eyes you have…

A trio of Will o’ Wisps which shimmer like polished silver, or the gaze of the moon itself. These wisps dance and sing when summoned, a wordless nostalgic song which always seems to make one think of their childhood as their mother or father rocked them to a peaceful slumber. These little wisps exist to guide their mistress to a desired destination or objective, so long as the parameters of what she seeks can be clearly defined.

Tertiary Skill:
Even without her wisps, Akane had a very good sense of direction, and can quickly read maps once she gets herself properly oriented. Though she does like to explore, more than once has she been forced to use her wisps to lead her back home after losing her way.

She is also very good with dogs, but lousy with cats. Not that she doesn't like them, insofar as they don't seem to like her.

Hyper Power:
Wolf of the Wilds
Why, what long hands you have…

The final stage of her transformation, Akane’s body becomes that of a large wolf. Well, perhaps large is an understatement. Her shoulders are easily as high as a tall man, and she could allow a person to ride upon her back with room for another. Should she so wish to do something so… Embarrassing.

Her teeth are like daggers, the claws on her large paws and scrape through concrete as if it were only sand. Her fur is thick and soft, like a pillow but warmer, and the same golden-brown in coloration as her hair.

Clutch Power:
Bad Wolf
Why, what large teeth you have.”

First, Akane’s wisps twist around a chosen target, with movements quick and violent in nature. Like a pack of rabid hounds who caught the scent of blood in the air. As the target is held still by the wisps, Akane’s shadow creeps forward, and surrounds the hapless target. Following that? Well, have you ever seen a pack of wolves take down an elk? Remove the wolves from the scene but keep their bloody work, and add a swarm of wisps twisting and churning the air in a blinding show of light.

And eventually, the target will crumble to the earth, it's body flayed and bones cracked. As the wisps receded, all that remains of the wicked scene is only pool of blood, evaporating into a black mist.

Personality: Fiesty, fierce, and dedicated to protecting all those she meets, Hotaru tends to jump headlong into battle before anyone else. She seems to care less about ratings in the sense of popularity and more for the boost of energy they provide her with while fighting. She can be seen as stubborn, because she never backs down. Many people have told her that she has too much of a temper, and well as that she's too smart for her own good.

On a more personal level, Hotaru is compassionate and devoted. She loves life, the world, and people. The type of person who marvels at everything and appreciates this chance she has to fight back and save it all from destruction. She is almost eternally upbeat and always encourages others to do their best to be strong.

Biography:

~5 Years Prior~

The rain fell steadily faster on the windowpane as the wellwishers packed up, until soon only Hotaru and her father remained. The silence between them was tense, unspoken words ready to burst. Her father turned slightly, back straightening as he prepared himself to launch into a long tirade, but the girl beat him to it. In a soft, quiet voice barely audible over the rain, she whispered to him, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do it."

A hand raced through the air before Hotaru could react, striking her cheek and sending her sprawling into the hospital floor. The sting hadn't faded when her father, in a tense and controlled voice, began. "It doesn't matter what you meant to do, Taru. What happened, happened. There is no undoing this. Do you understand that? That you can't go back and stop it from having happened? All of this... it is on you now."

"Father, please! You know I would never hurt her intentionally, it was an accident, I was just sca-"

"Control yourself, Taru."

"-red and I didn't know what to do and I- I- I-"

A hand covered her mouth, stopping the small vibrations that had been trembling through the air. The girl looked up with wide forest coloured eyes as she struggled to hold back tears. The man looking down at her had no sympathy in his eyes, nor love; only a stern, simmering anger that he was desperately trying to repress.

"Control. Maybe if we had taught you that from the start, none of this would have happened. You need to be educated on how to control this. How can you expect to live any kind of life if everytime you are afraid, you hurt someone with your voice?"

Slowly, he lifted his hand off her mouth. Images were running through her head. The open front door, the man in the black hoodie who's face was always missing, her mother running in front of her and trying to push her back. Scared and confused, Hotaru run to the end of the hall and cowered in the corner, watching her mother try to take the man down. But she wasn't winning, and the noise in her head was too much to take anymore... so she let it out in one long screech. Photos hanging on the wall shattered, and both her mother and the man were sent flying through the air. The man crashed through the door, while her mother hit the railing on the staircase. When Hotaru tried to stop screaming, she found she couldn't and that her power had taken over her. The twelve year old screamed until she fell unconcious.

"How can I have any life? I'm a freak." The two stared at each other in a silent standoff. With a sigh, her father caved and looked down. He reached a hand into his jacket and pulled out an official looking letter, holding it out for Hotaru to read. The girl looked at it intensely, the first words visable before she had even reached out to take it. 'We believe that it would be in both your and your daughter's best interest for her to be transferred immediately.' "That's it then? You're going to hand me off to some strangers and forget I exist?"

"WHAT OTHER CHOICE DO I HAVE? I CAN'T RAISE YOU. I CAN'T HELP YOU, HOTARU." The rage that had been simmering broke free as he threw the papers at her feet, his breathing becoming heavy as he tried to gain control again. "You... are too dangerous to be around Satoshi. What if you hurt him? He's only five. I can't... I can't take care of both of you, Taru."

The girl nodded and stared at the ground as it set in. She had known from a young age that her father was afraid of her. Her mother had been her one ally, and now she couldn't help her anymore- not laying in a coma in the hospital. She knew the likelihood of her mother waking up was slim. She was alone after all. "When do I leave?"

Primary Power:

~Shatter Speech~

Hotaru has an interesting power. It is innate, and cannot be supressed since it's activation, and seems to grow in power as time passes. Her voice causes vibrations that rack the body of her opponents and cause internal damage. It can do as little as causing minor balance issues and nosebleeds to various internal damages and side effects. Viens and arteries rupture first and cause extreme internal bleeding, and then the organs will begin to stress. It can cause vomiting, and if the wrong things get torn, it can cause paralysis, both temporarily and permanently. It hurts her to use her powers, eventually. It causes weakness, tiredness, rupturing vocal cords, and eventually blackouts. The strain on her body can cause random bruising and bosebleeds. It takes her up to a day to recharge.

Secondary Power:

~Balance Break~

By humming, she can cause the vibrations to travel through her body. This is especially useful if she is touching her opponent but risks hurting herself with backlash if she uses her primary power. The vibrations are forced off her skin and onto her enemy, which causes balance issues and confusion, as though they had spun around in circles.

Tertiary Skill:

~Kickboxing With A Twist~

Although her powers are intense, and tend to be overkill on some opponents, it doesn't actually KILL. Therefore, she uses a "customized" version of kickboxing and a pair of spiked brass knuckles to finish them off.

Hyper Power:

~Fists of Rage~

Banshee can channel all available energy and create giant projections of her knuckles.Though they consist of pure energy, they hit like a ton of bricks. She doesn't get long with them, maybe eight minutes tops before they shut down and leave her a defenseless pile on the street. She has to make them count.

Clutch Power:


~Vibration Tornado~

When about to die, use your biggest gun you have left. In Banshee's case, that would the Vibration Tornado. It's caused when she channels every bit of negative energy surrounding her into her skin and voice. She spins like a top, and the vibrations rise off her in loops that quikly escalate to a tornado. She pushes it in the direction of her opponent with a quick use of her Shatter Speech. It causes immediate internal bleeding and rupturing, as well as paralysis, to anything in its path. It leaves her with just enough adrenaline and energy to finish them off with her knuckles before she passes out and reverts to her normal form.

She sleeps for three to five days directly after, and is rendered mute and powerless for up to two weeks, though it typically is fully recovered by a week if she takes care of herself.

Personality:
Mai is a girl who has an easy smile and a friendly personality. She has a tendency to be informal with everyone, even those in positions of authority over her. She acts a big game, even when she isn't able to back it up, and is the type of person who can quickly get in over their head if someone doesn't hold her back. She also likes to make bets, she doesn't often win but that never really seems to deter her from trying again. She's a hard person to beat down, but determination isn't always enough when you are fighting the things which go bump in the night.

Biography:
She grew up in the American Quarantine Zone, a militarized zone which sprang up around Tokyo following the emergence of the Grimm. A final desperate stand, her parents told her, before the Awakening of the first witches. Safety was not found behind the guns of the US army and the Japanese Defense Forces, only a bright city turned dull by the struggle for survival. Even now, seventeen years later, Tokyo still bears the scars, much like many of the grand cities of the world.

When she turned seven, her family moved from the loosening Quarantine Zone to New Kyoto City, one of the few places of the world which was beginning to thrive due after the emergence due to the Doki-Doki Channel.

Then, when she was eight, while walking through the Neon Commercial District, her powers emerged, a vibrant display of light and beauty, as if the neon bulbs which lit up the walls of the Neon District had taken to the air to turn the air into a maze of twisting lights. Following that little episode, Mai found herself being pushed into one of the many magic academies which dot New Kyoto, as all witches are, and begin the process of learning how to control her powers.

She graduated at the age of seventeen, and after long many talks with her parents, she decided to sign up with the DDC to become a Magical Girl.

Primary Power:
Neon Burn:
A burst of condensed neon light, which burns flesh and leaves trails of brilliant lights within the air. Unlike natural light which moves and diffuses in the air, the light created by her magics can remain stationary, like a bulb of shaped neon which curl across the cityscape of New Kyoto. (Perhaps added effects to different colors as she gains more fans?)

Secondary Power:
Reverse-Polarity:
For a short period of time, around ten seconds at most, Mai can push all objects away from her if it is within a two foot bubble. The power is most effective on metallic objects, than anything organic, but it can slow the force of a blow all the same. While a skill that primarily has defensive uses, Mai has been known to use fire small metallic objects at an opponent at high speeds, similar to a railgun.

Tertiary Skill:
While it holds no combat practicality, Mai is a trained singer and dancer.

Hyper Power:
Nightlife Pulse:
A forty-five foot radius around Mai is filled with dancing lights of twisting color, a beautiful light show to witness from the outside, but deadly to trapped within the vortex of color and bright.

Clutch Power:
Nightlight:
As every child knows, nothing frightens a monster more than an 80 watt bulb plugged into the wall. Though, every adult knows that the bulb does nothing against the real monsters of the night. But, when the light burns like the sun, well, the critters of the night know to scatter, or be reduced to ash.

Nightlight does not harm humans, but Grimm and the other monsters? They better skitter back to their damp dark nooks, because the light is coming, and it will burn.

Maki is very easy to annoy. She gets angry fast, and it doesn't take all that much to get onto her last nerve. But, her anger doesn't typically last long, and she more often than not simply ends up in a huff at someone rather than holding a burning rage in her heart. When not annoyed, she is a friendly enough person, quick with a smile or a compliment, but if you do something to displease her, you will receive an earful about it.

Despite working in the entertainment industry where it is expected for the magical girls to take up personas, Maki is a horrible actress. She doesn't fake anything well.

Biography:

Maki didn't grow up within the walls of one of the grand cities, instead she was born in a quiet coastal town with its own bracing wall of stone and steel meant to keep the nightmares away. Their town was also home to a small band of local Heroines, four witches who did all they could to keep the town safe from the Grimm. But, between Grimm scurrying over the wall, or those born of the town’s underlying feeling of unease, the four magical girls more than hand their hands full keeping it all together.

Sometimes, a Grimm could slip through the cracks, and they would be too busy to deal with it.

Well, that was the day that Maki learned that she was a witch.

At the age of nine, her home was only a few blocks away from her school, so Maki would often walk to school, and then back home, chatting with her friends along the way. One day, while walking home with her friends, they were attacked by a Grimm. It was not a powerful monster, the type of Grimm that a full fledged Magical Girl could kill with only a turn of her head, but to Maki and her friends, a monster is a monster. It was shaped like a wolf, its fur a deep back, its eyes a glittering yellow, with spike like protrusions of bone along its spine.

The beast leapt onto Yuri, and pinned the thin girl to the ground, it opened its crooked maw, and all Maki could see were pointed teeth, red like blood. The Grimm lurched to tear out Yuri’s throat and then Maki’s world went black. Though she could feel something warm.

When she had awoken, a small crowd of onlookers had gathered, all pointing at her and whispering. Her friends hovered near her, one staring at her, and Yuri clutching a bleeding arm, her eyes on the burned husk of the Grimm. The last thing she remembered before the world went back again, was one of the town’s four Magical Girls arriving on the scene, and realizing that she was no longer wearing her uniform, but instead a pink dress.

The weeks following her awakening were like a blur. On the advice of Autumn Flash, the Magical Girl who had arrived on the scene in time to witness Maki setting the Grimm on fire, her parents sent young Maki off to the Witch’s Academy in New Kyoto City. There she worked to perfect her magics for the next seven years, before finally graduating at the age of sixteen. At which point, Maki decided to live the dream that every young girl had, and signed up at a Doki-Doki Station to become a Magical Girl.

Her path to stardom however, has been a rocky one. In the two years since her debut fight she has made very little progress in the rankings. Magical Girls who specialize in fire just aren't uncommon enough to make any major waves. Her Doki-Doki agent had done her best to find a way to rebrand Maki to draw an audience in, but Maki was too stiff to assume an on screen persona. So her rankings remain subpar.

Primary Power:

Maiden’s Flare:
A burst of magical flames which burn as hot as she desires, and only brings harm to those she wishes to burn. She has a limited control over the flames once she has shot them at the enemy, and try flames tend to burn out quickly unless she focuses on them to keep them from going out.

Ash Dancer:
She can conjure up whirlwinds of ash which can sting the eyes of her foes, and make it difficult for them to easily breath. Has shown to be more effective on stunning lesser Grimm than it has been for harming more powerful monsters.

Secondary Power:
Iron Spirit:
With every hit she takes, Maki’s powers become more potent, meaning her magics are always at their strongest right as she stands on the edge of collapse. This magic does not dampen the feeling of the blow, or any damage caused, simply gives her strength through the pain.

Tertiary Skill:
She knows very little about hand to hand combat, or fighting with weapons, but, she does know a thing or two about patching up wounds caused by fighting. The things you have to learn when your secondary power requires you to take a hit or seven for it to work.

Hyper Power:

Ashen Wastes:
The area around Maki becomes a raging inferno which consumes property and Grimm alike. However, much like her Flair attack, Ashen Wastes does not harm any that Maki does not wish it to, though she must be aware of a person to keep them safe. The name came from a commentator after the first time she used the move, as he said all that remained of the park she had used the move in were “ash and waste.” After that, the name just kind of stuck.

Now, while the Doki-Doki Company is understanding that property damage will happen in the course of protecting humanity, Maki has been asked, and reminded on occasion to only use her Hyper Power when strictly necessary or in open areas without many nearby flammable materials.


Clutch Power:

Midnight Sun:
Her clutch power primarily uses feelings of despair. midnight Sun causes her to drain the currently felt negative emotions of all those watching her, and release the gathered energy into a single intense blast of magic, which causes damage to all Grimm caught in the blast.

Its use often leaves her physically sick for several days.

Personality:
They don't call Yume the Ice Princess for nothing. If you only ever knew her in passing, you would think Yume to be cold as ice. She gives off the feeling of someone who is always cool and composed. Well, that is only if you don't know her well. It isn't really that Yume doesn't feel any emotions, it is simply that Yume is terrible at being able to express her emotions. If you are one of the lucky few who get to know her, you would soon learn that Yume is a girl who loves cute things.

Her small apartment is packed full of stuffed animals, and other adorable odds and ends, from characters of a beloved show, to a cute animal that struck her fancy.


Bio:
Yume’s powers manifested at an early age, so she she spent most of her early life at the Magical Academy in New Kyoto City, learning and honing her abilities. In the life she could have lead, Yume was the oldest daughter of three, and the heir of Furostomi Electronics, Japan’s leading tech company. But that wasn't what fate held in store for her, and Yume knew it the day her powers lurched to the forefront.

As soon as she graduated, against the wishes of her parents, Yume marched off to her local Doki-Doki Channel! office, and signed up as a magical girl. Few were born with magic, and it would not be correct for her to squander her gift. Her younger brother or sister could take over the company.

Her mother understood, her father did not.

It still makes for uncomfortable New Year's Eves dinners when the family all gets together.

Her rank has stagnated after her initial debut, for the same reason why many ice witches tend to freeze up in the ranks. While her offensive skills are many, Yume had poor defensive skills, and her body can't take as much of a beating as other witches with different alignments.


Primary Power:
Her primary powers are centered around the ability to create and manipulate snow and ice. While she is able to create structures out of ice using only magic, her powers are far more potent when she is near bodies of water or during rainstorms when she can simply use surrounding water as a way to attack. Her ice is hard, her snow terribly cold, and her movesets versatile.

Secondary Power:
She can create an afterimage of herself using ice to absorb a blow and confuse the enemy as she tries to put distance between herself and the Grimm trying to have her for lunch. This afterimage cannot move or fight, and shatters easily when struck. It is only really useful for a sudden diversion.

Tertiary Skill:
Yume is well practiced in archery, and she often uses a bow and arrows created by her ice magics in combat.

Hyper Power:
Endless Blizzard:

Despite what the name might suggest, the Endless Blizzard is not really endless, it just might seemed that way if you are caught within it. Her hyper move is essentially a localized blizzard which pelts the area around her with shards of razor sharp ice, frozen winds, and snow, while thin lances of ice break through the ground below her opponent.

She cannot maintain this power for long, before she burns out, but she can maintain it for long enough. Not much survives the first few seconds.

Clutch Power:
Twilight Bow:
This skill runs off feelings of fear and panic. When she uses her Clutch Power, Yume draws in all surrounding negative emotions, and transforms that energy into a bow and a quiver of arrows. The more energy she draws in, the larger her quiver. The arrows have been known to tear through even the hardest Grimm hides and armors.

[NAME] Ruki Yokokawa

[MAGICAL GIRL ALIAS] Met@l D!a (pronounced as “Metal Dia”).

Some background on the name: originally Ruki had asked her manager Natsuo if she could have an alias with the word “Diamond” in it for personal reasons. Seeing as it sounded a bit “too long and not as catchy” to fit her idol image, he suggested why not “Metal Diva”, to compliment on her power and the image of a futuristic idol. After some talks, they compromised with something catchy enough “Metal Dia”. Seeing that Ruki likes to be additionally standing out, they changed a few letters to actual Ascii symbols.

[PERSONALITY]
Ruki is the energetic but also naive girl among her group of friends. Her general ways of thinking are rather simple, to the point that sometimes she might seem rather simplistic. Overall, she’s an easy person to talk to, being someone who has a wide range of interests and loves to hear about other people. She does seem rather mischievous at times, though her pranks usually only involve her parents or her brother Shun. She’s particularly competitive with Shun, in terms of who is more popular among their friends.

Ruki and Shun live by the motto “You can be anything you want, just not everything at once”. What this means is that they know how to make themselves look sorry to get out of trouble from parents or detention, or to seem innocent when they played a prank. This doesn’t mean they can change their character completely, rather it’s just based on their experiences they can tailor their words or actions to fit the situation. Thus they have a general natural instinct to act charismatic. In addition, Ruki is fairly experimentive, in the way that often there’s new things she likes to try just due to curiosity.

Ruki has several weird habits, that no one is sure where she picked up from. There are two types of smiles she has. One is the general happy and hyper one for the bubbly girl. The other is when she is honestly scared. There’s definitely differences, but at times it might give some people the impression that she’s enjoying whatever she’s supposed to be scared of. (At this point, I would prefer that only Yume knows about this. It’s not something you can pick up on easily, unless you’re ADDITIONALLY perceptive towards illogical children).

The other thing is that there are times she considers Shun like her other self. An example would be, in the case where someone else insults or threats her brother, Ruki would take it very personally.

[BIOGRAPHY]
Ruki and Shun grew up together at the heart of the city of New Kyoto. They spend a lot of time together, either doing pranks, or playing games or just being at each other’s throats (much to their parents’ irritation). However, both had their share of small group of friends. They went to an average primary school together and it wasn’t until the last year of school that was when symptoms started showing of Ruki’s powers.

It started with finding herself bending the spoon or fork during lunch time. It started as spontaneous, and Ruki was first rather just excited that she could spoon-bend while Shun couldn’t. That day, Shun was the less dense one and was the first to come to thought that it wasn’t Ruki being psychic (they only exist in fiction anyway).

Over the next few days, the Yokokawa house had many twisted tongs, broken keys and snapped spoons. It wasn’t because Ruki wasn’t controlling her powers, it was partially to rub it into Shun’s face that girls were superior.

After finally promising to not use that in the house for pranking reasons, Ruki was given approval by both parents to join the academy in New Kyoto for witches. From there she met three other girls in her class, and was given the nickname “Diamond”.

Other than being really energetic and having rather weird but quick reflexes, Ruki seemed to be an average witch in her first year. Her forte when using magic was that she had a strong imagination, and there were moments when she can use it in creative ways. It wasn’t until four months ago when she had been recruited in the next inspection event. No doubt, Ruki would have agreed. It was something a lot of girls her age was looking forward to. Seeing that this witch had a cheerful persona and a magic fighting style that was somewhat dynamic, they decided that this could be worth investing into. From the recommendations by her manager, Ruki still had skills she needed to improve before she should make a formal appearance to DDC. She was then given additional lessons after school, in hopes that she could get better at using her primary power quicker.

[PRIMARY POWER]
Ruki can accelerate metal substances, and adjust their temperature. This includes alloys and content with high metallic molecules. (Water solutions with metallic ions don't count). She can cause the metal substances to move fluidly around her, and also allow them to change into different shapes. She needs to be able to visualize the shape clearly in her mind for the metal substance to stabilize. (This becomes easier over time with the same category item).

At the moment, Ruki can only visualize well two weapons: a pair of twin swords or a series of darts. The darts are sharp but very small, and speed is compromised for accuracy. She hasn’t learnt to use other weapons yet though she does try to practice manipulating metal into different shapes. Ruki primary focuses on using twin swords with a mid-range to close-range attacking style, and maximises her offense to defend herself. When she uses darts, they don’t usually last more than one minute.

There are times when Ruki is able to use it creatively, like quickly causing metal form into strips and bind over a Grimm’s limb. Some of these are thought up by Shun, and some by Ruki herself in the heated moment of battle.

[SECONDARY POWER]
Ruki can conjure up a boundary boxes by her imagination. These boundary boxes seal the inside from the outside completely, including the air. So if a person was inside the box for too long, they would die from lack of oxygen. At the moment, Ruki can only conjure up to four boxes. The largest size she’s able to conjure up is up to the size of a swimming pool. For people inside or outside the box, they can’t see the boundary, but they will feel as though they hit an imaginary, transparent wall.
Due to Ruki’s weak magic defense, they can shatter with a reasonable strengthened magical attack. However, Ruki can re-conjure one up immediately.

[TERTIARY SKILL]
Ruki is good at parkour. She's been taking lessons together with one of her friends, and the competitive spirit between these two keeps her continue to try and improve. She sometimes practice by also finding shortcuts from places.

At this moment she can scale up and from buildings and jump at a high altitude without much trouble. Fighting on a high, steep slope is a different issue at the moment.

[HYPER POWER]
Using her body as a lightning rod and conductor, Ruki is able to conjure up a series of lighting strikes. At the moment the record is set to 7 meters radius. Other than the majority of her energy been expended, Ruki should not take damage from the electricity from the lightning strikes. (These would have a high current aimed to numb or burn the enemies and substances around her).

[CLUTCH POWER]
This power can feed off:
1. Ruki’s basic fear of her or her brother dying
2. The basic desire to want to destroy something, often the target
It’s only when either of these two feelings are dominant (or her positive-thoughts are diminished) she can activate this ability. Her shadow becomes materialised material, and Ruki can use it in a similar manner to how she manipulates metal. However, the speed is much faster and the movement is more fluid. She is able to make the materialised shadows de-materialise. On default, the shape of the shadows takes shape of her brother’s figure.

[PERSONALITY]
Disciplined, curt and smart. Those are the three words that comes to mind for the class president. Though Jun rarely stands in front of the class to address herself as such, when there’s a need for it, she’s shown herself to be demanding when she feels any of her classmates are not being competent enough.

It’s a bit of a surprise that this same responsible girl is also the same one that has a large group of friends. Jun is rather active in socialising with most of her classmates, though most of the time she doesn’t take the initiative to approach them. From the way she changes her tone and how she talks, one can definitely tell when she’s enjoying herself or she wants to murder something. All in all, Jun is efficient in her work but she’s also one who likes to have fun.

[BIOGRAPHY]
Jun grew up as an only-child. Her family was rather large, consisting of her parents and grandparents from her mother’s side. From her grandfather, she had gotten into the habit of practising taekwondo every morning. According to her grandfather, it didn’t seem like she had the talent that he had, but she would still be able to use it to catch dangerous strangers off guard. Being encouraged to try different activities, at the age of 7, she had settled on something she felt she could do well in, kendo.

Though born in Japan, Jun had studied overseas in Germany when she was in year 6 and year 7. Soon afterwards she had came back and transferred immediately to the Academy. Jun was tested to have a rather large magical pool, with one of the strongest stamina in her year. This could also have meant that her attacks require more magic. Whatever the case was, it had gotten the attention from DDC. She was given an offer when she was 16 to join. Jun found no problem in adding another commitment, and every month she would at least have one or two appearances to the public as Galaxie-Zero.

Her abilities are not the most compatible with all of the magical girls, and thus when she had first started, Jun did not collaborate with any other DDC magical girl in particular. This has made her image seem as a bit like the cool-minded aloof girl.

Currently, she has not talked much with Yume. Her impression of the Ice Princess is that she is another DDC girl, but doesn’t really think much of her (given that she feels like their achievement is similar and that she has not found much reason to talk to her).

[PRIMARY POWER]
Jun has the ability to shift the direction of gravity around her. This is limited to about 1.5 meters radius around her. She is able to allow the direction of gravitational pull change directions rather than just simply vertically towards the ground. She uses this phenomenon to be able to travel through the air. She can adjust the speed of acceleration no higher than 7G at this point. She can also use this to walk up surfaces, such as on the side of a wall. She generally uses this ability combined with her hand-to-hand combat skills.

Within a 1.5 meter radius, Jun can form a stasis field. Anybody or any item within can experience the same gravity as her. If Jun travels, they will likely follow (unless by some external force). However, they are not immune to high gravitational acceleration such as her. (Anything above 6G they are likely to faint).

[SECONDARY POWER]
Jun’s body has a natural strong defense against conditions similar to a star or gaseous planet. This means that she is able to withstand high temperatures and air pressure much more than most magical girls. Of course, this doesn’t mean that she’s more resistant to getting hurt. She gets hurt just the same as any other magical girl.

[TERTIARY SKILL]
Jun is relatively proficient in fighting in short range with her fists or kicks, due to the time of experience in learning hand-to-hand combat from her grandfather. . Generally she has a strong defense and strength compared to most magical girls, as the result of her training from a young age.

[HYPER POWER]
When she uses her hyper power, she causes herself to act like a singularity point for a black hole. When this happens, objects around her will be attracted towards her by a strong gravitational pull. Jun uses this to draw enemies in, or to simply build up something to thrash at them. For anyone that experiences this, when they are experiencing this sort of gravitational pull, it’s likely they will suffer from side-effects similar to a black hole. (Stretching and high G forces).

[CLUTCH POWER]
It is nicknamed “The Crunch”. At the time when Jun feels that she has no other way, in the moment of despair she can activate this power. It acts very similar to her hyper power. However, instead of simply drawing everything in, the objects attracted towards her singularity will be hurled outwards as well, similar to “The big Crunch” phenomenon.

Magical Girl Alias: “Pitch”

Original Strand: E

Age: 19

Personality: Penelope, or Penny, comes off as an incredibly sad and withdrawn girl. She seems to always be sad, and sometimes says some strange, mind reeling things. No one leaves a visit with her untouched by who she is. Thoughts about the meaning of life and what certain aspects of life mean are common symptoms of a conversation with this girl.

She rarely smiles, and when she does, it's almost tragic. There's something in the way she moves and speaks that leaves a trace of sorrow in people's hearts for absolutely no reason. She seems to struggle with the will to fight and to truly live. There's a lack of sensible fear in her; she just doesn't seem to be capable of caring outside of her small bubble of life.

Biography: -wip-

Primary Power: Penny can manipulate the same darkness that the Grimm are made of. While she can't disassemble a Grimm, she can draw a cloud in around herself and create weapons out of it, or create a shield as strong as any Grimm’s armour. She can manipulate its density and its weight into nearly anything.

Secondary Power: She can temporarily impose her will on lesser Grimm, causing them to momentarily pause or even to full on give up. The success lessens the more powerful the Grimm is. Using it tires her mentally, but isn't anything that a good night's sleep can't fix. She's been known to practice on the tiny variety of Grimm, experimenting with how much they will listen to her.

Tertiary Skill: A natural musician, after just a few minutes with any instrument, Penny can play nearly anything. Piano, guitar, saxophone, lute, harp, harpsichord, it doesn't matter.

Hyper Power: Penny has a truly terrifying Hyper; she can create her own Grimm to bring into battle with her. They last only as long as Penny can keep them up, afterward dissolving back into strands of darkness. Creating Grimm means channeling darkness through herself, which makes her violently ill for nearly a week. She's been reported to “vomit blackness that seems to move like tentacles” in order to cleanse herself of the darkness.

Clutch Power: If her Hyper is scary, her Clutch is disturbing. As a last resort, Penny draws all the negative emotions around her and all the loose darkness into herself and spread it through her body, Turning herself. She then posses all the abilities of a Turned Grimm, and the state lasts as long as their is negative emotions to channel. Using her clutch leaves her almost comatosed for a few days before she can interact with anyone. If she uses this power too much or too often. She begins to have trouble coming out of it.

Stigma

Feint
Her presence exudes a desolation of self, and everyone in her presence, friend or foe, is affected. A loss of confidence and belief in self, doubts in one's abilities, a weakening of the will begin almost immediately in her presence. The more exposure to her, and the weaker the original victim, the more potent the Feintening of heart becomes.

Blind
Her shadow will grow and consume all in its path, like the Grimm she summons to do her bidding. She can release the same darkness that she utilizes in her Magic Girl state to darken her opponent's vision to blindness. It will last as long as she wills it to, or until she needs her powers for something much bigger.

Razors
By forming a sharp construct with her darkness, she can create sharp, deadly blades thinner than a hair to scatter through the room. They can be deflected, but only if you can see them coming.

Sin

Lack of Will
A much more powerful and potent expansion of Feint, Turned Pitch can focus all of her magic into destroying an opponent's will and desire to live. They give up, entirely broken down and mentally exhausted. They lose faith in their magic, their skills, themselves. They give in to Penny's will, and can be persuaded to do as she wishes easily. Limits to one opponent at a time, and requires great focus. Using this is dangerous for the Turned Penny, as she immerses herself completely in the dark power of the Grimm in order to utilize it. She can quite easily lose herself in the process.
