Fight in the Dark War

Legend has it that atop the tallest mountain in all of Zargonia lies a beautiful oasis called the Otherworld. In 590 A.D it was discovered by a human named Thelonius, the first to ever conquer the mountain and find the hidden oasis that thrived even in the cold climate that surrounded it. When he reached the top he let out three distinct whistles that cemented his chosen name as the King of Birds. A hot spring dominated the center and when Thelonius peered into the depths of the hot spring he became enthralled when he saw Him.

In 745 A.D, 255 years after Thelonius first discovered the Otherworld, an exiled Ork named Or'luk climbed the mountain in order to regain entry to his tribe and become chieftain. He didn't believe in the Otherworld despite it being a core teaching in his tribe, he sought out the legendary Everice instead. Ice said to never melt that could even be forged into chilling weaponry that leaves a stabbed foe frostbitten. What he found instead was the Otherworld. Or'luk had spent much time searching for the Everice and as a result it had turned to night time by the time he had reached the center of the Otherworld, where the hot spring sat. Or'luk was not enthralled by the spring itself but rather by the Silver ring that shone brightly in the moonlight. When he stepped into the hot spring to swim towards it his skin was seared from his flesh. Or'luk bit through the pain and submerged himself to his neck, swimming towards the ring as all of his skin was burned off of his body. His head began to sink below the surface as he engulfed the ring into his palm. His heavy body sank all the way down in the seemingly never ending spring before he fell out of the water and smashed into the ground 20 feet down. Or'luk looked up to see a door that had no business being there, a vulture perched atop.

Then 1550 A.D was there before anybody knew it. 705 years had gone by since Or'luk had grabbed hold of the ring and found the hidden door beneath the spring. Vanak was the rightful Emperor of Zargonia, and all the Orks, Humans, Dragonians, and Dwarves that made up the 'Sentient' population. He had been living in the Otherworld for the past 20 years, since he had to escape when he was 10 years old to avoid being assassinated. He had trained for the past 20 years to be able to defend himself in any situation. One night he was visited by two men. One had a vulture perched on his shoulder and the other a ring on his finger.

It was Thelonius and Or'luk. Thelonius was the first to step forward, extending his hand as he told Vanak their master was impressed and wanted to meet him. Or'luk stepped forward and offered his hand as he told Vanak that their master does not meet many worthy people in his lifetime. Now Vanak may not have trusted the two but he knew when he was outmatched and so he reluctantly followed the two as they descended into the hot spring. Down and down they went until they all fell down in front of the door. When it opened Vanak felt true abject horror. Human skin decorated the walls and was stretched taut from the varying lengths of time it had been up there, Dragonian bodies were stacked headless in a corner of the room missing limbs, Dwarf skeletons were hung from the ceiling and Orkish screams echoed through the chamber from seemingly no source. In the very back of the room set a man atop a throne of skulls. The man stood and strode forward as Thelonius and Or'luk fell to their knees in respect.

The man extended his hand and upon it was a large ruby ring. Pledge your loyalty to me and you will command armies young Vanak, you will never age...And when we conquer the world you will be the rightful Emperor as you always should have been. No one shall dare try to dethrone you lest you taking head from shoulders.

Vanak didn't need any more than that. He dropped to one knee and kissed the man's ring.

That was how The Pale King found his Three Generals of the Dark Army.

And now the Capital of the entire world of Zargonia is under siege of the Dark Army.

The year is 3228 A.D and in this timeline it is still the medieval era. There's been no modern advancements in technology or in medicine so a common infection could prove fatal to civilians who don't get it taken care of. For the past 1500 years The Pale King has been letting the four races fight their wars and advance their magic. Armies have been built and countries have been lost and now only 4 countries remain in Zargonia, each headed by a different race. The Capital lay in the center of the four borders, and if controlled may spell the end of the world as we all know it.

Special forces from each army have been sent to The Capital to prevent its fall. The Dark Army is still on its march but they're only two days away and there's no possible way to stop them from reaching the city at this point. All we can do is pray that the Special Forces find a way to buy us time while we figure out how to stop this dilemma.

General Rules
ImageEverything must follow the Rules and Guidelines of RP-Forums.
ImageEverything I say is law, and the I get the final word.
ImageRespect EVERYONE. If you don't like a person, play nice. If you're having an issue with someone, let me know. I will deal with it. Don't take it out on the person and be rude.
ImageKeep curse words to a minimal, though I'd prefer you to not curse at all.

RP Rules
ImageThis is Literate RPing. Full Sentences, good grammar, no asterisks.
ImageNo God Modding. This includes: No grabbing, moving, throwing, hitting, or anything with a completion without giving the target a chance to respond. You cannot grab someone and move them successfully in one post. I give permission to ignore anyone who 'auto' does anything. This is an offence that will get one warning before being kicked out. It is not a hard concept.
ImageNo permanent physical or mental damage without consent. This rule is an expansion of Rule 2. You DO NOT cause irreparable damage to someone's character without their consent. That is a form of God Modding. If this happens, I give permission to ignore it. If it happens again, the offender is out.
ImageDon't bother people and beg people to rp with you. Don't Harass, and don't push yourself into a situation just to get attention. I will warn only once, then I will kick you out if it happens again.
ImageEVERYONE must take part in the main storyline that I am trying to put out. I will give people freedom, until I hit the big ol' red PLOT button.
Image
I totally didn't rip this from Monika or anything.

Name: Orenur Nebu Naga
Nickname: Roary, The faceless monk
Age: 16
Race: Half ork(half human)
Weapon(s): Floor spikes and holy salt(only damages creatures who take damage from positive energy like healing spells.).
Power(s): Orenur carries with him the grimoire of a famous monk in his faith, the church of Azur. This Grimoire carries 5 spells within that the caster can use without any casting time, cool down time or other components as long as the grimoire is in the casters hand. These spells are not special to the grimoire and can be cast without it but each spell has it's own incantation or other components that make them difficult to cast in the heat of battle. These 5 spells are:
Cat's grace - This spell gives the caster cat like nimbleness and allows the caster to walk across narrow ledges at their full running speed with ease. The spell only last 30 seconds normally but using the grimoire means this spell can be cast indefinitely.
Voice of the nightingale - This spell causes the caster's voice to become pleasantly soothing to the ears and disguises their original voice perfectly. When this spell is in use the caster will become better at convincing others and they will have an almost ethereal feel to them like they are not from this world.
Disguise of the faceless monk - Casting this spell summons the disguise of the faceless monk and the caster of this spell will already be wearing it. While the disguise has no magical properties it will still give off an ethereal magical aura. Here is how it looks:
Image
Climbers grip This is a spell usually used by climbers that forces the caster or who ever they touch to grab onto a nearby object with a firm grip. When cast on one's self this spell can be used to climb better or to catch yourself on a nearby ledge while falling but when used on others it can be used to bind them to a pole or other object. This spell last for 2 minutes but can be broken free of if the target is strong or if the caster is too far(50 feet away).
Muffle foot steps - This spell silences the casters foot steps as they hit the ground but does not affect the sound of the casters armor, weapons or items they make be carrying and this spell last for 30 seconds.

Personality: Because of Orenur's Orkish blood he can't help but be hot-headed and he can sometimes go into a frenzy when in the heat of battle but he is still a kind hearted young boy who just wants to be accepted. Being half ork but raised by humans Orenur understands better then most what it feels like to not fit in yet despite that it's all he really wants. Orenur believes that the reason humans don't like him is because orcs have no grace, they are barbaric and crude, and so he strives to be graceful like the famous monk of his faith, The faceless monk. Orenur hates what he calls "negative energy" which is really just being around people who are sad or angry or are feeling any negative emotions. When around "negative energy" Orenur starts to get frustrated easily, despite that he will usually go out of his way to try to make sad people feel better, but when people feel angry he usually just fights them. Orenur says he can't help but fight angry people because their negative energy just gets too him. Orenur is good at sensing the feelings behind others and can sniff out bad intent from a mile away because of how sensitive he is to negative emotions and so he calls it one of his many blessings. Despite being looked down on most his life Orenur can come off as cocky most of the time since he is almost always trying to show off and usually ends up embarrassing himself. He's loud, clumsy, doesn't know his own strength and full of heart and pride. Even though Orenur has always been looked down on he's never looked down on himself and always strives to become better.

Short Summary: The night the faceless monk disappeared all the young acolytes stood and watched, waiting for his return, but Orenur was the only one who followed the faceless monk into battle. It was the first time many of the young acolytes had seen a fight of this intensity or even seen The faceless monk not hopping from roof to roof or hiding in the shadows, not to mention using real spells. The faceless monk was in a battle with 3 mages of chaos who sought a magical artifact even the acolytes knew nothing of and the older monks were all unconscious due to a sleep spell. Orenur was watching the fight from a closer point then any off the acolytes but what he really wanted to do was fight beside the faceless monk. Orenur ran through the streets below, dodging rubble and explosions, as the faceless monk and the mages of chaos did battle on the roof tops. Orenur never even managed to get into the battle but he did save a few civilians from falling debris and made sure no one was hurt since the church also served as a sanctuary for passing pilgrims and refugees. The fight ended before Orenur even knew what had happened. The faceless monk had lost and the artifact was stolen, though before he had figured that out Orenur found the Faceless monks Grimoire and returned to the church with it. He may have technically lied since he told the members of his church that the faceless monk chose him to inherit his grimoire but Orenur figured since he was the only one who tried to run in and help he deserved it. The monks held many meeting about allowing him to use it but when a Letter arrived at the church calling for heroes and Orenur was the first to volunteer the church sent him along with another monk that was secretly hated amongst the faith of Azur.

Name: Saito Dai Mononokai
Nickname: Master Mononokai
Age: 32
Race: human
Weapon(s): Floor spikes and holy salt(only damages creatures who take damage from positive energy like healing spells.).
Power(s):
Healing hands of Kine - This spell causes the casters hands to turn blue and causes any magical debilitations(such as being on fire, cursed, bound, ect) to be destroyed completely. This is a powerful curing spell meaning it can even destroy powerful curses and as such is requires other components to perform other then just ones magical energy. To cast this spell the caster must first create an image of a portal and then place an idol of Kine, goddess of pity, in the middle. Lastly the caster must cry onto the idol to summon the goddess's hands which will then rip any debilations out of whoever the spell is being cast on within a 10 foot radius from the portal. This spell only affects magical debilitations which could also refer to elemental debilitations too since fire, water, earth and air are all magical in nature.
Scornful mask of Zen - This spell conjures a floating face that hovers next to the caster and breathes fire on enemies who step within 5 feet of the caster. The mask is limited by its attack range of 5 feet and that it can only attack 1 person at a time but the fire it breathes is equal in power to the actual flames of hell. Zen is said to be an angel and son of Kine who banished himself to hell in-order to help souls worthy of redemption escape but found none and so his pity turned to rage. In order to cast this spell the only thing the caster needs is an idol of Kine or an idol of Zen and enough magicka to cast the spell.
Flying shield of Udon - Casting this spell creates a shield of put magical energy that can also be tossed. The shield can ricochet off walls as well as comeback like a boomerang and it leaves shallow slices in whatever it hits. This spell is inspire by Udon, god of Ale, and battle who used a wide bowl as his hat, shield and cup. This spell need no other components to work.

Personality: Saito tries to act serious a lot because of his status as monk but he's actually very calm and prefers to do things at a slow pace. Saito could always be described as a quiet and calm person even as a child. He prefers not to saying anything he doesn't have to and gets straight to the point though he isn't too stubborn to slow down and explain more. Saito is calm even under pressure and really hates when people try to get a rise out of him even though he doesn't actually get that mad. Saito's favorite thing to do is teach and learn and talk about experiences. Saito learns from everything and is very observant.

Short Summary: The church of Azur stands in the middle of a city entirely made of sandstone and legend has it the entire city was made by a single monk who found enlightenment by doing so. In the current era The city surrounding the church of Azur is used as a tourist location and a place for pilgrims and refugees to rest, but no one except the acolytes and the monks are aloud into the church. The monks and acolytes live inside the church, they learn from each other inside the church and most of them ever think of even leaving the church. In the church the monks teach the acolytes about the many gods that inhabit this world, but mainly they talk about Azur, the monk who became a god. While most the monks don't like to admit it Azur was not the first or last mortal to become a god and not many of them teach that except for monk Saito, or as his student call him Master Mononokai. Growing up Saito's mother ran a gift shop inside the city surrounding the church even though owning a business in the city was supposed to be illegal, but the monks never left their church so people outside the church just did what ever they wanted. Saito used to love looking at all his mothers statues of the gods, she called them idols, and she would tell young Saito stories about all of them. Saito taught the stories his mother taught him to the young acolytes which made him a favorite amongst the acolytes but it also made him dislike by the other monks. When Saito was picked to accompany The young ork Acolyte and new faceless monk he was shocked but he knew it shouldn't have. Saito knew it wasn't like the monks to care about the problems of outsiders, they just wanted to get ride of the ork and himself. Regardless Saito excited to see what things looked like outside of the church again, it has been a long time.
