Welcome to Vasata, a kingdom that thrives in wealth and prosperity. Unfortunately the king of the land is dying, his son, the prince has been declared MIA.the prince had left 2 months before to start a quest that would allow him to gain the throne. He has not been seen nor heard from since.
the king who has no other heirs and has decided to put out a contest for who ever wishes to take the throne. This has made many of his people worried. There is talk that his illness has affected his mind but the people are not willing to speak out against their once wise king. Strangers from all over gather to the castle main square to learn more about this quest. Each willing to participate, wanting the crown for their own reasons.
but there is an underlying problem......
They must hurry and complete their quest before the king dies. for two other kingdoms, Dral and Cuerrl decided to try and take the lan themselves.
Vasata is a large and prosperous nation. Mostly made up of open fields and forest the kingdom is with out want. Vasata is boarded on both sides by the nations cuerrl and dral.
Long ago it was said that Cuerrl was just as prosperous and lush as Vasata. But due to over population, drought and over farming the land dried up and became harsh. It is now just a rocky desert wasteland.But the people have adapted. Many live the nomadic life in large caravans traveling from town to city. Others created what lives they could along the river.Cuerrl is known for its spices and minerals. It is also home to the rose rocks the symbol of it's people.
Before cuerrl had peaceful relations to the other nations but 15 years back the worst drought had hit. Vasata refused aid completely and dral gave what little it had. Angered at the abandonedment from vasata and worried for their people the leader sent armies to take land and resources from vasata. A war between the two nations raged for 5 years before cuerrl was forced back.Trade and relations between cuerrl and vasata since have been at odds. Cuerrl still holds resentment and anger with vasata.
Dral and cuerrl have a better relationship. But a large ocean separates their interaction leaving all trade to be slow.
Dral is a cluster of islands separated from the other nations of vasata and cuerrl by ocean. While some of the islands has room for farming dral is a nation of sea fairers.
The people are adventurous and superstitious sorts. Even those who stay on land regard the sea with respect. Dral is known for is fish and boats. It is also home of Pearl's
15 years ago the nations vasata and cuerrl went to war. While dral was not officially apart of it the nation supported both sides as best it could. Vasata was in need of aid due to an illness in its lands. Whike cuerrl suffered from drought. Dral and cuerrl have a fair of not secret relationship. But a large ocean separates their interaction leaving all trade to be slow. Dral and vasata has remained neutral. Dral while being separated by ocean had heared of the illness and kept trade small.
