This is a time that will go down in history known as the "Golden Era". Where only those with the gifts of Wealth or Strength are blessed with status.

Those without either, oft find themselves struggling through life. This is especially so within the Imperial City of Soren. The illusion of paradise behind closed protective walls manifests the idea of prosperity to its citizens(including immigrants). Propaganda fictionalizes, Soren is a sanction for those ambitious to change their lives and leave legacies for future generations to come. A land rich with opportunity...for those who can afford it. Many from all over the world have taken the long voyage to seek opportunity in Soren to provide for themselves and families. Upon arrival a clear boundary had been made that only those with privileges could hope to cross and attain a "lavish lifestyle". Falling victim to the corrupted politics of Soren and its rulers unquenchable thirst for greed.

Poverty, a social norm through the commons; only increasing as the number of people who pool within the city increase. Meanwhile the leather purses of the 'Noble Class' swell with gold, almost to the brink of bursting. Though despite the struggle, there is a method of escaping the realm of poverty. And accessing the road to luxury that had been promised. But similarly to the structure of common society, this path will be accessible to those blessed with certain skills, ambition and potential....

Acquire the Emblem

Acquiring Sorens Holy Emblem, and pledge yourself to Knighthood. Offer your undying loyalty to the crown, Sorens walls and people and you will be Knighted. Take this path and you will have access to steady pay, suitable living and praise from elite society. Though with Sorens population only seeming to grow, a vetting process has been initiated to filter the individuals with the greatest potential. Leader of the Arthurian Knights, General Duncan created the "Seasonal Arms Association(S.A.A)" where aspiring Knights can lend their skills and knowledge to the crown. Completing smaller tasks for small amounts of gold as pay, as well as gaining reputation--within time it will transfer to an invite to Sorens ranks. From General Duncan himself or one of his assigned Arbiters, they will approach the individuals giving them a crafted Emblem.
Taking the Emblem, is acceptance of the terms and conditions of Knighthood.

The Races of the World
Human Kind:
A fairly common race. A simple people that adapt well to the situations they may find themselves in. Natives to Soren, the Human races is rather infamous for their strong sense of pride and nationalism. Aside from their adaptability, humans are the only race to be able to mate with others and create half-breed offspring. But half-breeds, sadly, are not blessed with the ability to bear their own children...

Elven Kind:
Elves originate from a continent known as Astaros. A continent divided by different factions inhabited by sub-species of Elves. In the past these factions once were always in conflict with one another; but within the last two hundred years, the "Concordant of Gnesh" had been created. Establishing peace among the factions as well as establishing trade and other benefits. The four factions are all separated pendant on the sub-race and region:
*Snow Elves:Living in the colder tundras of Astaro's mountain ranges, the Snow Elves are dominant. Honing the paler skin tones compared to their cousins. Their culture glorifies alcohol, brewing some of the richest of ales. It's usually expected to find a Snow Elf either owning or even brewing ale for taverns, even in Soren.
*Ash Elves: Making home on Astaro's coastline by a dormant volcano. Making profit by mining a special ore that was last left when the volcano had last been active. Crafting arms and equipment, selling them to other lands for massive gain. Their appearance differs with very dark and gray skin tones.
*Sand Elves: Making home within the scorching region of Astaro's Southern Deserts. Sand Elves are a peaceful bunch that seek no conflict with other races so long as it can be avoided. The denizens of the sands craft marvelous fabrics as well as cloth attire. Using a special thread that can only be weaved from a unique spider found within this region. Sand Elves have warm brown skin tones.
*Devil Elves: Able to take the appearance of anyone of their other cousins, the only difference are the prominent horns from their heads. The material their horns are made can be used in the crafting of items or arms. When a member passes, their horns are stripped from their heads and used as material. Stripping the horns when alive is extremely painful and can be fatal. It is said, more extravagant horns are found on wiser Devil Elves.

Orcish Kind:
Orcs are the second race that can be seen as "native" to Arthuria. Split up into many different tribes, the Orcish race isolated themselves. Taking up home in forests and plains Orcs lived by the land. Breeding excellent hunters and farmers. It has only been recently that Orcs have begun to take interest in foreign ideas and civilizations. Within the last fifty years or so. While their large builds may appear intimidating, a majority of their race are very docile and gentle.

Feline Kind:
Meow! A hybrid race that only recently has began to show itself to Soren(roughly a decade). While at first sight, they may appear human, the difference lies within their eyes and the large feline-like ears from their heads. Originating from a very far off land known as Mirn; they bring over rare jewelry and jewels of all types! A place of lush rain forests and jungles. Other than trade Feline's are also benefiting from a Renaissance of art within their culture.
Custom Race: I'll allow a custom race however do keep in mind: 1) There is no magic or supernatural elements in this RP. 2) Races can only live up to 100 years. 110 at max. There are many other lands with varying cultures so don't be afraid to go outside "European Medieval".

Development of Gunpowder Arms.
It's been three years since the development of the musket. Being imported from Astaros, the musket quickly became an interest for warriors in Soren. While it wasn't made of human steel, it's effectiveness made it the talk of the town. Making it popular to those who could afford it. Relying on the expensive import of gunpowder and other mechanisms the musket sacrificed utility for firepower(compared to the commonly used crossbow). Releasing a powerful metallic ball able to rip through the armor of some beasts completely. Only lasting one shot before the long and tedious reloading sequence.

While this has enabled blacksmiths to expand their horizons, gunpowder has become quite an expensive commodity. There is talk around town of smuggling in gunpowder, as well as firearms and selling them off to bandits. Trading caravans have been increasingly attacked with said smuggled items, as this issue now has the eye of Sorens officials. There is worry that some of these bandits might have had explosives also smuggled as well.

Rise of The Stallion
As immigration seems to be at its highest, there goes a group known as 'The Stallions'. An all human organization that greatly disproves of the sudden rise in population of other races. They believe other races will destroy pure human culture and that immigrants are taking opportunities from the rightful native race. Most of their numbers are poor human common folk. Harassing folk in areas of predominately of different races, or crying out their beliefs in the city square.

Rules and Expectations!
1)Following all the rules of the Intermediate section and RPF is a must. I'm not gonna negotiate about the vital rules that everyone is expected to follow.
2)Cardinal Sins: Meta-Gaming, Auto-Hitting/Killing and everything similar to or in between.
3)Have fun and remember, communication is key!

Personality:
She is an unhappy woman. Discontent with her life, and how it had so far played out. She desires more to life than to be forced to take on a role simply to survive as the nobility fattens themselves off her blood and toil. This, in many ways has made her jaded. She has an underlying desire to change the world, and if it is that the world refuses to change, then she will force it to. If the systems are so corrupt, so broken, that the only way change can be found is at the edge of a knife, then so be it. She will play her bloody part to see change happen.

Personally, she is friendly enough. She may be driven, and her goals might be bloody, but she remains a decent enough person. Her opinions are stronger than most, and she isn't shy to let you know when it is that she disagrees with you. She often does have a point where she chooses to be silent, she knows better to incriminate herself.

Ambition:
Cilla wishes to vest her own sense of justice upon the word. The corrupt must be punished, and if society will choose to not take on this task, then Cilla will make certain that justice is delivered on the edge of a knife and blood allowed to flow free.

Equipment:
Cilla carries a leather satchel within which she carries a few strips of dried meat, several pieces of flatbread and hard trail bread and an apple. Also within the satchel is a small travel blanket, a sewing kit, a flint and steel fire starter, a knife and fork for food, and some cloth wrappings for wounds. Her coin purse and a thick dagger are attached to her left hip, and on her right hip is a black shortsword.

Both of her weapons are of the same black metal, and both have the same wispy etchings of a flower along the length of their respective blades. The hilt of both weapons are wrapped in the same simple white cloth which is well worn from use. A necklace is around her neck on a silver chain, the pendant of the necklace is a round piece of gold with a two headed raven with ruby eyes carved into it.

Skill Proficiency:
Cilla is quite good a mending clothing as well as other sewing feats. It is often hard to tell where a tear had happened after she had finished mending a hole. And her embroidery is second to none.

Character History:

The world is not a wonderful place. Guards and soldiers always did serve the nobility first and the scrape of gold second. The citizenry? Let the poor fend for themselves. Why risk your own skin for the gratitude of some peasant? It they can offer nothing, then is that not their worth? This is the sort of life Cilla drew her first breath in. One where nothing could be obtained without great struggle, and nothing could not be kept without a willingness to draw blood.

She was born to a family of poor hunters after a, in a village starving after ancestral hunting grounds had been stolen away by a fattened nobleman. He wished for a forest to call his own, a show of power to make his peers jealous. So, from an early age Cilla learned how to poach without being caught by the noblemen’s guards or his many lavish hunting parties. She had only been caught once, and had gotten lucky. She carried upon her person no bow or trap, only berries which she planned to use for a lure. She had been able to trick the guards into thinking her a simple peasant girl picking berries for a meal.

Picking berries from the woods was a crime the lord cared less about than poaching. A shove or two a bruise, and scratches were as far as her punishment ever got for the crime.

Even back then Cilla was a headstrong girl. Full of disdain towards the noble who was killing her village, so she devised a plan. Once night she stole from her parents a pair of blades, heirlooms from her family’s noble past she was always told and vanished into the woods.

The lord never returned from his last hunting expedition, and Cilla was never seen in her hometown again.

Appearance:
Cilla stands at five foot eight, with a fairly agile build. Her body is well toned from years of labor and training, the muscles of her arms and legs strong for a woman of her size and general stature. Her bust is fairly heavy, her shoulders small and pointed, her hips rounded, and a scar of silver flesh runs across her right hip. An old wound, a fight she would rather not remember. Her skin is a coal-gray, like the soot left behind by an angry fire. Like many elves, her facial features are typically sharp. Short pointed nose, strong jawbone and chin, her eyes a shining silver gray, and her hair a long platinum blond.
