I mean I'm a pile of bones...and I'm fighting dogs. I need every advantage I can get. But I forgot about the batons so I'll use that and my sheild to knock out the wolves.

Yeah, the Patrician of Ankh-Morpork legalized the thieves and assassin’s, the latter though take crazy amounts of money to be paid to “Inhume” somebody, The Assassin’s though have a rule of one at a time, meaning no more than one assassin can take another contract on the same target, one assassin, one target, only two people are forbidden to be targeted, which are the Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, Havelock Vetinari, and Sam Vimes, the latter proved too “unsportsmanlike” to the Assassin’s, so he became part of a right of passage to new Assassin’s, those who can tail him without being outed for a long while can consider themselves elite assassins, so far he keeps outing them.

Very cool indeed. So what is poor Eragon doing during this?

Well despite what Algren, Eragon would probably have one hundred assassins after him after the slaughter he would conduct. That’s asuming of cause he was going. He’d just be walking around the train picking fights.

The Assassin’s don’t make exceptions for anybody I’m afraid, the rule is one at a time only, so no more than one Assassin for one person, the Assassin’s pride themselves in being cool, stylish and professional, they need to keep said standards or else they would just be viewed as thugs for hire, which they take offense too, they charge a lot but will see to it the job gets done, no matter what, One assassin killed his target by simply showing up at his party dressed in full assassin regalia, giving the guy a heart attack.

So, after this whole fiasco, its the Aurient next, an exotic land full of overweening totalitarian control, and barbarian hordes trying to scale their wall.

Sounds quite charming. Do we get to fight the barbarians?

Lets just say things aren’t gonna go the way you think...

And the Barbarians are rather...

Experienced....

On another note, Victorian London in AC syndicate is exactly how I imagined Ankh-Morpork to be like, except the River Ankh is much filthier to the point that it becomes solid during certain non-winter seasons and catches fire on the hot seasons.
