That idea could work for me. Either way I’ll get to work on a CS for now.

Name:
Trent Palmer

Age:
21

Gender:
Male

Bio:
Born as an only child in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, Trent Palmer used to have a fairly normal life. His family led a nice lifestyle. He made decent grades in school, had a lot of friends, some intimate relationships towards the end of high school. Overall, he had it pretty good. One aspect of his life that has been constant since as long as he can remember is America's beloved pastime, baseball. Trent's father, attempted pro player turned scout for a professional team had casually been teaching him the ins and outs of the sport ever since he could talk. Whether intentional or not, Trent was pretty much locked on course to see if he could become one of the best. From little league, to the high school team, and then onto college, Trent was a baseball player.

During his years at college, Trent was able to participate in the Cape Cod baseball league in Massachusetts , where scouts across the nation would seek out future talent for professional teams. Out there you may be trying to compete to the best of the best and all that, but at the end of the day him and his team were just and bunch of guys playing baseball. And that sunk in, too, as the two and a half seasons he was able to participate in were probably the most fulfilling months of his life. Halfway through the third season, though, is when everything changed.

Nukes dropped all over the west coast, which is when not the whole world, but his world came crashing down. It was almost as if everything stopped. Games were cancelled, stores were closed, airplanes were grounded, and no one had any idea what was going on. Trent managed to get in touch with his family by phone for a while, though, promising he would find his way back to them. Those agonizing days of confusion he spent with his team. Every single one of them felt the exact same, but they kept it together. They had to. Just when it felt like it was going to be okay, when they could start picking up the pieces... The east coast got hit.

Everything was done, finished. It was all gone. Destroyed. What was Trent supposed to think? What was his team supposed to think? The survivors? Some of them just lost it, which pushed whatever small chance there was at rebuilding down the gutter. A few on Trent's team couldn't handle it either, running from their shelter out into the unknown. But the rest.... They knew that they had to something. Something reasonable, so they set up a community. Something to take on this new world and make something livable out of it.

It lasted about a month. It could’ve lasted a lot longer, but according to Trent, it’s all his fault that it didn’t. One day while he was on guard a group of three bandits approached their base and demanded a hefty amount of supplies or else they were “fuckin’ dead”. Thinking it was a bluff since there were only three of them, Trent told them to basically get lost. They did leave, but a few days later they came back with 30 of their friends. The bandits blew a hole in their makeshift defenses before they even knew what was going on. Outnumbered and surprised, the community knew they had to run. Only about half, Trent included, made it out alive. Dejected and defeated, this crippling blow to their morale made everything almost unbearable. Their allies, their friend, their brothers, gone. With that on top of everything else, it was more than enough to make someone just quit. And one night, Trent did. He confessed his mistake to the remaining and exiled himself, dropping his bat he had always kept with him in an effort to lessen his guilt.

Now alone, Trent had a new mission. Make it back to Atlanta. Even if it was likely to be a wasted effort... He had to know, right? Using whatever supplies he can find along the way, he’s slowly been making his way down to Georgia over the past several months, making a detour through Ohio to avoid several big cities like DC along the way.

Personality:
Trent has changed a lot over the course of these months, likely evolving more into the person he needs to be to survive. He used to be pretty overconfident, letting his pride get the better of him. Now, though, he’s a lot more toned down and unsure of himself due to his past mistakes. Still, though, he often manages to let his instincts get in the way of logical decisions. But, hey, he’s survived this long so he must be doing something right.

Aside from that, he’s pretty talkative around good company and is often to leave an impression on most. A lot of people seem to remember the guy whose got a lot of stories to tell, it seems. Honestly, though, he’d prefer if he kept to himself for the time being. Partly because he still doesn’t trust himself to be a reliable member of a group and the other part due to constantly being on the move for Atlanta.

Equipment:
  • Baseball Cap
  • Shovel
  • Water Bottle
  • Flashlight
  • Phone (Dead)
  • Backpack
Extra:
  • Great baseball player. Essentially is pretty fast and has a good swinging arm, but not a particularly impressive thrower.
  • No, he’s not currently wearing a baseball jersey
  • 6’0”

Name: Jacob "Jay" Monroe

Age: 55

Gender: Male

Bio: Monroe, as he prefers, was, prior to the bombs, a member of a biker gang known as the Sapphire Cobras. After he went rogue and left the gang in order to go in search for a woman that had once lead the gang and was out of prison. He had managed to find her surviving along side a group of ragtag people come together in a seafood restaurant outside of LA. Joining with the group they left the city and made their way to a military base. Then they left the safety of the base and headed to Eden, within 24 hours of being there the leader of the safe haven turned on them and forced Monroe, a man named Joe, and an ex-military man by the name of David to hold off the guards of Eden while the rest of their group escaped.

He'd been shot several times and had expected death, but no, he awoke later on in a pile of bodies and was forced to eat the flesh of the dead in order to gain his strength back enough to walk. It took a bit of time, but he managed to stand and make his way from the hell of Eden vowing to head East where he had last thought the others would go.

Personality: Jay is more calm and down to Earth guy and would rather see things end in a civil talk rather then a hail of bullets. Although he is not without fault as he has done a lot of bad things he knows that he is still a good man if he protects those that need the help.

Equipment: Not much in the way of equipment aside from a a shotgun and some pain killers
