Re: The Tavern

Jamie took the glass with a curt nod of thanks. She took a few sips and grimaced as the liquid went down. It certainly was strong. The bartender asked her why she came, throwing her brain into gear to come up with a reason. "Just...some issues to sort through." Jamie sunk into her seat and rested her elbows on the counter, narrowing her eyes as she looked at the other patrons.

A young man, age 17, walks into the bar. His messy blonde hair bounced slightly as he walked. His maroon t-shirt was just a little too big, and his jeans just a bit too tight for his own good. He grumbles as he walks up to the bar, and tries to ignore the narration of his--
"Okay, can you stop now? It's just a bit annoying, I can tell my own story. My name is Brandon. I make golems."
Okay, jeez. I'm just doing my job, no need to get mad. Anyway, he walks up to the bar and orders a large tankard of root beer, a bowl of mashed potatoes, and a burger. After all his searching, he'd found his way to the Tavern. From what he'd heard, this bar was very similar to the Inn that he was so fond of.

Chell leaned back at the bar, deep blue cloak draped lazily across her thin shoulders. At the mention of a narrator, her pointed ears perked up, and deep grey eyes focused on the newcomer.

"Who ye be talking to, wassa name, ya say Brandon?"

An ear twitched.

"Ain't got no golem hiding in ye pocket ye be talking to, aye?"

Even standing up as she now was, Chell made no impact whatsoever. She was an unimposing height of 4'9, held herself with a lazy slouch, and bundled her cloak around her like a child would a blanket. Her frame, thin and wiry, seemed almost malnourished, and her pale tan face lay sallow and gaunt. Her eyes, though, almost blue as deep a grey they were, sparkled with a curious intellect that pierced whatever they perused.
Alone she drifts from ancient mists
Nary a candle, nary a wish
But in the wont of wandering paths
Through wooded knolls, and windworn crags
She seeks a face she thought as friend
But now -- she thinks as judgement's end

"Not at the moment, but there seems to be this pesky voice that follows me around. He won't stop talking about my life."
Oh, shush you. Brandon was slightly annoyed at the fact that his life was watched over by the very force he left behind for a few years and wanted desperately to show off his talents. He starts the spell, and a moon golem pops out of the ground, with a small sigil of the moon glowing on the floor. The golem is only a few inches tall, and he looks smooth. He glows lightly, like the sun reflecting off the moon itself. His name is Shepherd, and he usually pops up when Brandon wants to just bugger off and quest already.

"Oh, well that's a friendly lil morsel, innit?" Chell replied, kneeling down to look at the golem. Without warning, she grabbed it, and stuck it in her mouth.

On a seemingly deserted planet off in the outskirts of the galaxy a lone ship lands. The night sky offers little to no light to show the figure who leaves the ship. The tall, dark, figure walks confidently across the open plain. He stops and lifts his hand right. The ground in front of him flung open. The figure descended down the path that he opened. The tunnel was very dimly lit and only let the shape of a black cape be shown. The man continued down the tunnel to a big locked door. He moved his right hand out to his side. He made a flicking motion and a steel colored rod flung to his hand. He pressed a button on it and a crimson laser flies out of the rod. He plunges the rod into the door and holds it there. The door slowly turns an orange color. He then pulls the rod out of the door and presses the button again. The crimson laser then flew back into the rod. He placed the rod back on his side and moved his left hand in a forward position sending the door flying.

On the other side of the once massive door stood many men in dark clothing. They readied their weapons and pointed at the figure. Before they could fire the dark figure extended his hand and pulled it back to him. Their weapons flew to him. In a flash the rod was back in his hand and the laser extended. In another blink of an eye he was on the group of men. He sliced through them like a hot knife through butter. He proceeded on through the next massive door. On the other side he came eye to eye with a huge contraption. He had no time to react before it fired on him. A few blue rings surrounded him. A few seconds later the figure was gone from the hanger.

The tall figure reemerged on the same planet, even the exact same location, but in a different timeline. The figure was in an inn. With his saber still in hand he looked around the area. He was confused as to how he ended up where he did. He spun around a few times before speaking.

In a deep voice he bellowed out "Where am I?".

Brandon stares in astonishment as Chell just straight up eats his moon golem like it was a little, bite-sized marshmallow.
"Did you just--"
He cuts off as a figure appears behind him with a laser in hand, seemingly popping into existence behind him. Brandon stares for a minute and realizes he was in the middle of something already. He turned back to Chell.
"You ate my golem. Why did you eat my golem?"

"It... was for eating, yea?" Chell muttered, her attention no longer fully on the golem maker. That was a shiny light blade thingy. Chell liked shiny thingies, especially shiny thingies one could swing around in big, shiny circles.

She brushed past the golem maker to approach the newcomer, eyes wide.

"Gimme your shiny," she demanded.

"What? No, I-"
Brandon was once again cut off by a very excited Chell pushing past. The dark stranger stood behind him bewildered, and all he could do was stare. He just decided to turn around and eat his meal. He summoned a wind golem, which is untouchable, but extremely temporary, mostly used as a messenger. He whispered to the golem and blew it away, sending it back from whence it came. He then sat and ate his food in peace.

The dark figure examined his surroundings. Most of the patrons hardly paid attention to him. He wasn't use to this treatment, but reacted somewhat appropriately. He retracted his saber and with a flick of the wrist it was back at his side. That's when he was approached by a small being. She was oddly assertive for her size and demeaned the dark figure's saber. A loud noise came from the figure before he just said a simple "No."
